Overview
Buenos Aires is so much more than Evita and Tango.

It has an enthralling history covering Jaun Peron and the entry of 20,000 Nazis to Argentina.

If you love history this is the tour for you.

Discover what happened in Argentina when Cold War politics plunged South America in a period of brutal dictatorships. Learn the history of the mothers of the Plaza de Mayo who have marched every week since 1977 holding the pictures of their youngsters who vanished without trace during those years.

Take this 5- hour, fully private tour to visit all of the major sights of Buenos Aires. Your tour guide will take you step by step through the history and culture of Buenos Aires. The tour involves driving to all the major sights in an air conditioned car and taking brief walks around each location. You will visit all the major sights including the cemetery at Recoleta.
Highlights
  • Maximize your time with an itinerary packed with top attractions
  • Private tour: see the sights at a pace that suits you
  • Enjoy the undivided attention of a private guide
  • Hassle-free hotel pickup and round-trip transport
What to Expect
After pickup from your hotel, set out to explore Buenos Aires’ colourful neighborhoods, starting with a drive through Palermo and Recoleta. Stop to see the Floralis Genérica, a gigantic flower sculpture that opens and closes at dawn and dusk; admire the beautiful rose garden in the Palermo Woods, and stroll around the moving Parque de la Memoria.

Learn more about Argentina’s turbulent history as you visit Recoleta Cemetery, home to the grave of Eva Peron (Evita), among many other notable celebrities and politicians, and see the Casa Rosada on Plaza De Mayo. Continue into San Telmo, home to many of the city’s tango clubs, and La Boca, where the brightly painted houses of Caminito Street make a striking backdrop for a photo.

After a detour through the modern waterfront district of Puerto Madero, drive along 9 de Julio Avenue, the widest avenue in the world, to reach the grand Plaza del Congreso, home to the Congress Building.

Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel or a central location of your choosing.

John Boyle, our tour guide was the perfect guide. Extremely knowledgeable of the Argentine history and its culture. I certainly recommend this 5 hr tour - ours finished off with a delightful cool drink at a cafe in Caminito.
