Had a fun day in Boca
Always like to visit a classic football stadium and this is worth the visit. The history and surrounding Boca area are the impressive part , the stadium is unique but nothing like some of the European or North American stadiums. Its age shows and the pitch certainly leaves something of a “ in need of care “ impression. The museum was good but the area surrounding the stadium and the locals were what I enjoyed the most of my day in Boca area of Buenos Aires.

          Worth it
A perfect blend of European elegance and Latin passion. Great city tour with informative stops, though some areas need more time.

          Fantastic Tango experience
This was a fantastic experience. We were picked up and later dropped off at our hotel right on time. Our table was reserved for us at a great spot. The dancers were fabulous, the band was exceptional, and the other entertainment was far above expectations. The dinner was so good. Everything flavorful and the wine kept flowing. This is a must do for everyone visiting Buenos Aires.

Enjoyed the show - the food less so
The tour loses a star because the dinner was disappointing: for a city that's famous for its steaks, the steaks served with dinner were mostly tough/overdone (not just our personal view but one that was shared by many of those sitting around us). The show itself was fun, with various small groups of dancers performing the Tango, interspersed with songs that were well known to Argentinians, who sang along, but were unfamiliar to foreigners.

          Just wow
WOW....just wow. the guided tour was worth the 23000 peso. The theatre is stunning and so regal- can only imagine what it's like seeing a show there. So much history and tradition. Opened in 1912 the stained glass panels are sensational. The tour takes in the foyer, Golden Hall, stalls. Cant believe the main chandelier has 738 light globes!!

A classic tango experience and more
I first came here 2 years ago and was blown away so with another trip to BA, I knew where to come for a show but would it measure up to my memories of my first?Yes - and then some! Starting with door to door transport, a perfectly fine 3 course dinner with wine, a pleasant and attentive staff and then another outstanding 90’ performance by amazing artists topped off by Argentine singing legend, Hugo Marcel. Drinks are also included at the show. All in, it was $125 USD and you can go without the dinner if desired for less. The whole evening encompasses nearly 4 hours. Yes, there are no shortage of places to see tango in BA but in my experience, the one that’s been around for over 50 years has yet to disappoint. Based on the enthusiastic full house, they’re doing something right.

          Very so so show
We just booked the show option and no dinner. A few things for folks: 1. The stage is quite awkward, large sections of the seating area only see one part, so you don’t get to see all the dancers. 2. The premium seats are all taken by folks who have dinner option. You get tucked into a corner if you just have the show. 3. The service quality is so so. 4. Performance theme is good - tango over the decades but the quality of the performance and dancers was quite so so. It could be just our experience but for a bit more - we really enjoyed the Almacen abd Cafe De Los Angelitos - these two were far superior in all aspects

          The mountains of Bariloche
We enjoyed our tour to see the mountains and glaciers of Bariloche. Our guide was knowledgeable and spoke in English and Spanish to accommodate the whole group. My husband and I had plenty of time to take pictures and take in the views. Definitely recommend this tour.

Good meal, great show. Service was rushed and impersonal. Shuttle bus from hotels was surprisingly long; we went in circles.

          Disappointed by expensive tour
Absolutely boring tour with no music or behind the scenes or set displays. Building is old and needs updating and is moldy.

          Bad experience
My steak was fine but my wife's was just a large lump of fat, totally inedible. We complained to the waiter but he simply smiled and walked away. The show was mediocre with too many bright flashing lights. At the end of the show they claimed that their dollar machine was not working and that we would have to pay in pesos. By the time this got sorted out the shared mini bus that was due to take us back to our hotel had left. We were left in a gloomy uninviting area to find our own way back.

Dinner and tango show historic Buenas Aires.
Excellent Tango performance. Located in the historic district of Buenas Aries. Picked up from Our hotel, arrived at the location, and greeted kindly. Dinner and wait service were excellent. The culinary experience was amazing, excellent steaks and empanadas. The talent for the tango show surpassed all expectations 10 stars! This event was amazing and a must when visiting Buenas Aires and learning about their culture.

          Great tour
Great tour undertaken with some die hard Boca supporters. Our guide whose name I didn’t get (although may have been Louisa) was very informative and was able to translate into English for us non Spanish speakers. This is somewhere I have always wanted to visit and was not disappointed - can only imagine what it’s like on match day though!

Not sure how anyone could be critical of this show unless they are complete grumps or just complainers. We found the venue a small, intimate charming dinner theatre that evoked a 1920’s speakeasy. From beautiful brick walls, a stained glass ceiling and old photos on the walls it was delightful to behold. To be fair, we were fortunate that the show was not sold out so there were plenty of us that were couples that had a table meant to seat four and we had lots of space. The crowd was predominantly 50 and above and our guess in the city in conjunction with a cruise. Someone negatively posted this demographic but it simply may be people willing to spend about $200 per couple for the dinner and show and included hotel pickup and drop off. The tables and seating are tight but thought the management was creative in how the servers got the dishes served. We didn’t have high expectations for a great meal but were pleasantly surprised that it was as good as it was. Yes, it is mass feeding but you have at least three choices of a salad or appetizer, entree and sides and dessert. There are upgrades to the standard steaks. My guy upgraded to a “tomahawk” steak and boy did this attract attention from all the surrounding tables. HUGE steak with bone-in rib at over 2 lbs served on a sizzling grill plate that was perfectly cooked and he was seriously pleased. But my standard 12oz sirloin was excellent, the sides perfect and dessert pancake with dulce du leche delicious. No complaints. Wine was an ok Malbec but you can substitute other wine (at a cost) or non-cost soft drinks, beer or water. As to the show, really worthy of Las Vegas revue even with a tiny stage that limited their performing space. Somehow carried through that feeling that you were in an intimate speakeasy. Exceptional tango dancers, the six piece band were professional caliber (2 violins, I bass player, a piano and 2 accordion players), all excellent with their respective instruments. The two singers and the other performers showing the gaucho side of Argentina were again not just a filler but talented entertainers. The show was a solid 1 1/2 hours. I think the best indication that this was “just that good” was that a couple at the table next to us saw the show in December and yet just two months later were there to see it again. In the final analysis we would gladly see it over in a heartbeat as well. Think that pretty much says it all!

We were a bit dubious about booking this Tango show fearing it might be too touristy. While there was some of that, the dancers and musicians more than turned us into big fans. There were various acts: 6 tango dancers (3 couples) whose athletic moves were awesome; a folkloric trio playing pan pipes, guitar and what appeared to be a ukulele and back-up musicians, plus a drummer, who was a force of nature and excellent and two singers. All in all, a great show at La Ventana. and well worth the money. (Unfortunately, no photos were permitted during the show.) We did not have the dinner, but did pay for drinks (wine) and for transfers to and from the hotel, mainly because we didn't want to hunt for a taxi at midnight.

This Tango show was well worth it. The sit down dinner was amazing! They give you a menu to choose from. I had beef tenderloin and it was perfectly cooked to my liking. The dinner started at 8:30 and the show started at 10:00. The Tango dancers were probably the best in Buenos Aires. So much talent. Make sure your phone is charged so you can video some and take some pics!!
I would say the majority dressed nicely for it. We almost skipped out on going to it and so glad we went!! A must see!!

We opted out of the dinner portion of the evening; we arrived at the theater at 9:45 and were promptly seated and served wine. (We wanted to eat before 9pm, so we chose a restaurant within walking distance to the venue). The dancing is incredible - we had no idea that tango could be so fast paced and athletic. Loved all the costume changes in between dance sets. The music was just as amazing too - piano, cello, accordians and violins. Its super easy to grab a taxi after the show if you'd prefer not share a bus with people from other hotels.

I would have given this 5 stars but, as we were warned, it would be very cozy (crowded and warm). The food and wine were good and what I expected in this type of venue—steak and Malbec. Desert, flan, was especially tasty. Dancing was entertaining, I’m no tango expert, and I enjoyed the folk music and gaucho number. Everyone was moved by the Eva Peron song. All in all, a nice experience (but a little claustrophobic).

Our experience at the La Vantana was mixed but overall, I wouldn’t recommend this tango experience.

We were picked up from our hotel by La Vantana transport at 7:20pm for a 20 minute drive to the venue. Check-in was easy and we were shown to our table. The venue ambience is excellent but seating is on long tables and you take pot luck as to who you are sitting next to. They have crammed as many people in as possible and once seated, it is very difficult to get out and even visit the bathroom, without others having to move their seats or stand up. Dinner was served from 8pm and took 2 hours. Food was very good, given 300+ people were being fed.

The tango show started at 10pm and lasted for around an hour. The show was impressive, although it was one song after another, with no interaction with the audience.

We had been warned about the chaos in trying to get most of the audience back to their hotels on the complimentary transport. We therefore left the performance just before the end and caught an Uber fairly quickly. We ran into people the next day who had sat at our table and they mentioned they had been dropped off at their hotel at 12:45am. Patrons weren't clearly told what bus to get on and there were "musical chairs" in some people initially getting on the wrong bus.

Given the nearly US$200 per person cost for this evening and for only about an hour of show, I think it would have been much better value to have dinner outside of the venue and just visit the show separately. I’d certainly not recommend the free transport to and from the venue unless you are very patient and don’t care how much time it takes to get back to your room.

This was a good choice of Tango show. The place was lovely, cozy, great view from any place you sit.
Although we opted to order food there, the food was very good. The vegetarian option of ravioli was tasty.
The show was a variety of tango dancing, singing, several Argentinian songs, and regions showcased.
        It was worth the price.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tango show and dinner. The food was good, servers efficient, and the performances were the highlight of the evening. We couldn’t believe so much could go on with a relatively small stage, and that the dancers and musicians, who were not 10 feet away from us, could be so precise and engaging. It was a thoroughly entertaining and lovely evening.

We did not get the dinner, so I can only speak about the show. It was fantastic. The dancers are truly amazing. We had intended to book it through a broker on the street. In the end that looked like that was going to fall through, so we ended up just going to the venue and buying tickets there. We got great seats right up front. The staff was helpful and attentive. If you’re looking to see a tango show in Buenos Aires, this show will not disappoint.

Had a fabulous time at La Ventana. Everything was first rate. The ambiance was excellent, as was the food and wine. The tango dancers, singers, the indigenous music group and the gaucho tossing the boleadoras were all outstanding. The highlight of our days in Buenos Aires. Try not to miss!
