      Superb
I was a little sceptical that the full package of: pickup and return to my hotel; 3 course dinner; and the actual show, would be only average. Pick-up and return absolutely fine. With it being mass catering, I thought the dinner would be only adequate, so pleasantly surprised was a small but well varied menu and of above average quality and (with the package I bought) unlimited wine. The show itself is very well put together, with fantastic musicians, very good dancers and singers, with one singer being one of the best male baritones I have heard in a long time. With one song in particular he was pitch perfect, very clear enunciation so that even with my poor Spanish I understood most of the song, especially the underlying emotion of it. He could have gone "full drama" with it but kept it restrained allowing his voice and the words to convey the meaning. By the use of the songs and dances, with well selected projections and costumes, of the various times portrayed, the show gave a very concise and enjoyable history of the Argentine tango Very, very enjoyable and well worth the money.

      Recommend it!
We had a great time! We are a party of 12, of adults and teenagers. The food was decent but this show isn’t about the food. (And the wine was plentiful if that matters to you.) It’s about the whole experience and the show was great! The dancers and singers were very entertaining. The show doesn’t start until late (around 10:15/10:30 pm) so prepare yourself for that. It’s a great activity for someone looking to experience tango in Argentina.

      Thoroughly enjoyable visit
Excellent English speaking tour, with a fab guide, who had a great sense of humour and could answer all questions. A beautiful building with no concert ticket above $80!

Driver/guide never showed up even though we had prepaid and scheduled the private four hour city tour in advance. Very d
We had booked a four hour private city tour of Buenos Aires. Our pick up was at the Marriott Hotel. The driver/guide never showed up. We called the numbers given and there was no response. That was the only day in Buenos Aires and we wasted a day. Very disappointing. Finally we took a hurried city tour with Hop On Hop Off bus. We lost the money we had paid in advance for the tour plus missed the tour we wanted to do. Very disappointed.

      Don’t book it.
This was scam. We never got our email from Teatro Colon. We went to Teatro Colon showed our confirmation from the trip advisor email they’re saying they can’t find our information. So, we couldn’t get the tour. Very sad & upsetting.

      Unethical business practices! BEWARE
BEWARE of this establishment! My husband and I booked this event and paid in advance $240 US dollars. We received e-mail confirmation and it stated they would pick us up at 7:30 pm from our hotel, Park Hyatt Palacio Duhau. Upon arrival at our hotel we discovered there are 2 entrances to the hotel, one on Posadas Street and one on Alvear Street. The hotel main building and original entrance is on Alvear but both entrances are staffed by a registration desk and concierge, bellman, etc. Due to this unique setting we e-mailed La Ventana to ask which entrance to meet them at for our event. The e-mail was answered by a staff member, Andrea Guzman, to meet at the Alvear lobby. On the evening of the show we arrived to the Alvear lobby at 7:25 pm where we spoke to the concierge and discussed our plan to go to the show. At 7:45 pm no one had arrived so my husband called La Ventana on their What's app and was told the driver was running late but he would be there. At 8:00 pm no one arrived so we began calling La Ventana again. This time no one answered. We went to the concierge and he called La Ventana and no one answered. Between 8:00 pm and 8:15 pm we called the venue and no one answered. During this same period of time another couple arrived in the lobby also stating they were waiting for the same driver and they stated they were told to go to the Posadas lobby but no one had arrived there so they decided to come up to the Alvear entrance to see if anyone had been there. The concierge called the Posadas concierge and no one had arrived there to pick any of us up. The other couple decided they would go back to Posadas and wait there and we would wait in Alvear so that between the 2 of us we could catch the driver. The concierges also assured us that regardless of the entrance they would call to let us know once the driver arrived. At 8:30 pm I decided to what's app the venue to be told the driver had already picked up at our hotel and "we were not in the lobby", which was not true. We had been there since 7:25 pm, over an hour. After multiple exchanges via text we were offered a refund and I accepted the offer. As of this writing we have not received a refund, it has been 3 weeks, they do not answer our calls, respond to our messages, and we have been ghosted by them. They got our money and now their word is no good. We went back to the Posadas lobby to find the other couple did get picked up there. The next day we ran into them at breakfast and they told us that the driver arrived around 8:20 pm and they tried to tell the driver to come to Alvear to pick us up but he didn't speak English at all so he ignored them and rushed them into the van. The couple also told us the driver had no cell phone, his battery was dead, and had no GPS/maps and got very lost. They drove around and around and after an hour finally arrived at the venue. They said the food was decent, not great, but the show was good. The driver also did not talk to the Posadas entrance Concierge at all so he could not call upon us to come to that entrance. The couple said they made every effort to get the driver to go around the block and come get us but with the language barrier if was futile. The main issue we have with all of this is that we went to the lobby that Andrea Guzman told us to go to and after being told in writing they would refund us, no refund has arrived. I feel this is an unethical business practice and implore anyone reading this e-mail to boycott this venue as they do not do what they say they will do. This is unacceptable to take money without fulfilling the contract. Shame on them! Go to another show in Buenos Aries. There are plenty of really good ones.

      What a fabulous night!
In my opinion, you cannot go to Buenos Aires without going to a tango show. My partner was not so keen but we both had a fabulous night out. Yes, it is touristy and you are somewhat herded into the venue and the seating is "compact" but despite the pressure on the waiting staff, they were both very good at their jobs, and also kept their sense of humour and customer service levels - very commendable. We did not expect too much from the food, given the numbers in the venue and all being tourists, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent - my choice being empanadas, steak and dulce de leche - it was all fantastic. The show itself was a mix of tango (absolutely incredible) and other musical events. All in all, a fabulous night out - touristy yes, but fabulous, an even bigger yes!

Good food & very talented performers
I’m not usually inclined to go to these dinner/show events, but I did want to see some authentic Tango dancing. The event space was very crowded with about 200 people. My wife & I both had their steak dinner, and the food was excellent, along with the complementary wine. But the real stars of the evening were the people on stage. The had terrific Tango dancers, singers, musicians, and other performers. All-in-all, they had a rotating group of about 30 performers on stage. It was an unforgettable evening.

      Entertaining evening with good food
We were not really sure what to expect and to be honest had reservations that the show might be a bit ‘tacky’, however we were very pleasantly surprised! The evening’s entertainment was very professionally conducted and we had an extremely enjoyable evening. All dancers, musicians and entertainers were extremely talented. The food too was very good, especially considering the number of people being catered for. My steak was cooked perfectly and the service was prompt and the waiters friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Tangol's special 1-Day tour for Rosario
Tangol arranged a special one day tour for our family to visit Rosario, the home town of the famous Argentina soccer players like Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria. We could visit many places (e.g., Messi's birth house, school, and the soccer field, Museo del Deporte Santafesino, Estadios Rosario Central y Newell's Old Boys, etc.) and take many pitcures. Tangol arranged a tour guide and a mini-van driver for us. They were waiting for us at the airport. They were very friendly and also knowledgeable, so we enjoyed talking with them. This special tour was the one of best tours for us.

The best tailored tour of my life
We are Argentine soccer fans and wanted to visit places related to Lionel Messi, like his birth house and the soccer field (potrero) he played in childhood. Tangol does not have a tour package to Rosario, but they tailored a special 1-day tour just for my family (4 persons) with air tickets between Buenos Aires and Rosario, a private minivan + a tour guide in Rosario. The Tangol contact person sent detailed information, including emergency contact, a couple of days before the tour day. She (the person) acted/replied promptly when I contacted her. The tour guide in Rosario spoke perfect American English (without a Spanish accent). He was friendly to all of us, and we felt comfortable talking to him, and asked him many questions (he was knowledgeable about all the places we visited and answered our questions). That was the best tour of my life.

Everything was as described and on time. Nice tango dance with live music. We did not have dinner which was optional. Part of the package was a mediocre bottle of wine and ice cream. Enjoyed the show.

We booked the full day version of this tour on a Monday.
The tour started quite well with an interesting boat ride up the Plate River then through the delta, with coffee and a cupcake.

The tour was supposed to include time at some museums and a fruit market in Tigre, but all are closed on Mondays. It was also pouring with rain so we took a city tour bus instead of walking around Tigre - but unfortunatley the first bus was full and we had to wait in the pouring rain for another bus (there's no bus shelter).

We had little time for lunch so ended up having a quick snack at Starbucks before taking the train back to Buenos Aires.
The train is a regular commuter train. Nothing to see, particularly given the rain and the shaded windows. The trip was made particularly unpleasant by hawkers and beggars who kept coming into the carriage and shouting at the passengers.

We would have been better off making our own way there.

Dear Mary-Anne Cosgrove, We are truly sorry to your dissapointment. Unfortunately the day of his experience was December 30th, a bit complicated as many shops are closed to take the long weekend for Christmas or New Year Celebration. Additionally, the weather was not very helpful. However, we hope that you enjoyed sailing the Rio de la Plata and the Delta Tigre. We hope you can visit us again so that you can reverse your opinion and enjoy the quality of our services. We really appreciate your comments as it helps us improve our services. Best regards, Tangol

I agree with idandb that it's worth going, but do it yourself. For variety, catch the Tren de la Costa from Estacion Maipu to San Isidro - get off and explore the Church, reboard next train and travel to end of line Tigre delta…then walk and catch a local taxiboat to an island, eg tres bocas where you can have lunch. Catch the main line back to Retiro.

Dear traveler, Thanks for your comments, The tour includes pick up services, navigation, driver and a tour guide who explain everything we see from the bus. We offer other tours, from our sales platforms, which includes public transportation with profesional guide; you can also find different alternatives, in relation to the itinerary. For us, travelling alone is not the same as being accompanied by a professional local guide who knows the city and can explain our culture, history, flavours and passions. We regret that the tour did not meet your expectations. Kind regards, Tangol Travel Agency

After a very lengthy wait for our pickup from the hotel, we were too late for the tour we had booked for and were put onto another boat.

The taped commentary was quite interesting and informative, not so much the muddy brown water though.

The unique suburb of Tigre was more interesting with it’s variety of houses, some on stilts. We also saw fruit, vegetables and household goods being delivered to the homes.

The greatest disappointment came when we reached Tigre! The tour we booked was to include time to explore and have lunch and to return To BA by bus. On arrival we happened to spot a young lady holding a sign with our name on it. After approaching her we were told that the group we should have been with from the start, were waiting for us for the return trip to BA. Hence no exploring nor time for lunch!!

On contacting the company, our complaints fell on deaf ears as they suddenly couldn’t speak nor understand enough English. Totally unacceptable to say the least and it wasn’t cheap either, what a rip off!!! I definitely do not recommend doing this trip with a company, rather do it on your own at a fraction of the cost.

My wife and I booked this tour and were really looking forward to it having read good reports.
We waited at the appointed place and time to be picked up but no one came. Worse still no one answered our calls to ask what had happened.
Spoke to somone this morning who said there had been a mix up and we would be refunded. Doesn't help the feelings of being badly let down.
As I can't give zero stars I'll have to settle for one for being refunded.

We are fluent in Spanish. That saved us from a total disaster as the tour guide provided by Tangol was incompetent. She hardly spoke to us.

The boat ride to Tigre was good. The bus tour in Tigre was supposed to be in a city bus. We decided not to wait for the city bus and walked instead.

Then the nightmare stated. The return to Buenos Aires was supposed to be a train ride. When we found out that actually it would be a train ride, a bus ride and another train ride we asked about taking a taxi after the first train. The tour guide advised not to do so since it is a different province and would take over an hour.

Now, after getting off the first train, the guide took us through a sewage run-off, where we were splashed by a passing car. At this point we decided to ignore her advise and took a taxi. It actually took less than 20 minutes. Fortunately we are fluent in Spanish and could find a solution ourselves.

Dear traveler, We are very sorry to hear your comments. The drop-off is not included in the price, as mentioned in the description of the tour. The tour ends by coming back by public transport, in that case the train. The city of Buenos Aires was doing public works on this line for 3 months and they set up a bus line in order to bring passengers until the terminus. We are very sorry you had to take another bus, however I am sure your guide was there to explain you how to come back to your hotel. The train line now came back to normal. We are glad, though, to hear that you enjoyed the tour. Thank you for your review, it always helps us to improve our services. Best regards,

Today I took the half day tour to Tigre Delta. The bus was a little late arriving at the hotel but the tour guide Mercedes was excellent. I was the only one in the small group of people that did not speak Spanish and she translated everything that was said into English. The whole tour was very nice. After departing from the hotel we made our way to Tigre...we stopped for 15 minutes at San Isidro so we could visit the beautiful cathedral there in the town . Then we made our way to the boat. Everything went very smoothly and our guide explained everything. We spent around an hour in the boat then headed back to BA where the bus dropped me at the hotel. It was a very nice afternoon trip. Thoroughly recommend this tour.

I guess somewhere in between. Trip was reasonably organised. Our Guide was informative and we were not rushed through. It is good excursion, if you have some time in morning and have plans for evening and late night.
It is definately intresting way and place to have vacation home.

Victor, our guide, provided excellent service. There were two groups totalling 4 people. Tour price included boat to Tigre, hop on hop off bus in Tigre and train fare back to BA city. We enjoyed lunch on our own at Puerto de Frutos.

We walked to tour office from the Cruise Port. Because of major street construction between the 2 points a 30 minute walk took 45 minutes. Suggest a taxi ride. The area near the bus station is a street crime area. Keep the cameras out of sight.

The Tigre is well worth a visit. The commentary is informative and relaxed. The mini bus was 45 minutes late picking us up. The journey to the Tigre was hair raising! The driver was gesticulating and driving without holding the wheel along the highway, drinking from a 2l bottle and turning round to talk to the guide. The guide took little notice of us speaking mainly to the Spanish speaking guests and giving a potted English version. On the return journey the behaviour was even worse with the guide distracting the driver with her flirtation. We were not taken back to the hotel but dropped off a twenty minute walk away. Really not impressed with the operation.

They picked us up at our Hotel and were only about 15 minutes late. After picking us up there were several other pickups which took about another hour and started to get old. Once underway we had a nice trip to the Tigre Delta area but once again found ourselves in another line to wait on the boat for the actual tour. The tour on the boat lasted about an hour and was quite good. Many opportunities to take pictures.
