The trip was everything that was noted, however, I think that I thought we would go on a small boat through the delta area because of the “small group” description. While the tour indicated small groups, you are really with a lot of other groups together on the boat and then in the restaurant. The trip on the boat is from Buenos Aires to the town of Tigre, through the delta in a fairly large boat with both outdoor and indoor seating. The boat trip was lovely, with pre-recorded information in Spanish, English and Portuguese. It is about 1.5 hrs with the last part going through the delta, which was really interesting. Our group was spread all over the ship, but because there are several guides, there were things pointed out as we went along. Just be aware, you are not going on one of the boats in the picture (those are the boat “buses” for the area. After you arrive in Tigre, the boat portion is over.
Lunch/snack was 3 empanadas (they accommodate people’s dietary requests) and beverages (non alcoholic). After that we went by an original “fruit market” with lots of shops. Recommend that if you want to shop, go later in the week as more shops are open towards the weekend. We were there on Monday…not so much to see.
Last stop is the town of San Isidro. This is also a short stop in a lovely old area of the town, nest to the cathedral. Also a good ice cream store nearby. (You pay first, and then pick your ice cream). After that you are dropped off at your hotel.
Our guide was quite lovely and informative and took care with her guests. This was not my favorite day in Buenos Aires, as I thought we would be on a smaller boat, going through some of the waterways, but that was my mistake. Again, the photo was misleading to me.

We booked this 5.5 hour tour mainly for the cruise in the Tigre Delta, but it was so much more. We were met right on time at our BnB IN Palermo, where we joined only six other participants. It would have been a tedious hour long drive to San Isidro had it not been for our Driver and our Guide, Rosty. Rosty entertained us non stop with ongoing lively commentary and historical anecdotes. We toured a riverside market showcasing beautiful basketry, a magnificent cathedral, preserved centuries old colonial mansions, and the historic riverside rowing clubs before embarking on the cruise. The Tigre Delta is fascinating and the view of Buenos Aires from the Rio de La plata, as we cruised towards our final stop at Puerto Madero, was equally enjoyable. We were met there by our driver and on the way back to our BnB, Rosty shared more history and suggestions. We highly recommend this tour!

We were a small group of tango dancers from the US in BA to attend a tango festival. We had a fun time; nice weather and the river cruise provided a unique perspective of life on the Delta. Hernan was an excellent guide and the lunch at Vivanco was great: white tablecloths in a country club environment. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel which took the stress out of finding the place. The only potential for confusion is the time you will be picked up. While it is advertised as a 9 am pickup we were actually picked up at 8:30 since we were farthest hotel from start of the river cruise. Since we confirmed our pickup time transportation to and from the tour went smoothly.

Booked this when we arrived in Buenos Aries and so pleased we did. A great experience, allowing us to see so much more of the natural environment around the city and to see a very different way of life. The snack included was more than enough to see us through the day. Miriam, our guide was excellent; so knowledgeable and helpful.

The tour was relaxing and our guide was right on time at the hotel, but then it started raining as soon as we got on the boat. The guide was super nice and lent me her jacket when I started raining really hard which was helpful. The food at the restaurant was also nice! The weather was not cooperating with us on this tour, however I would still recommend it.

Marcelo A Perez was awesome. His English was great because my spanish is muy poco. The tour was very interesting and he took his time to explain every detail of the tour. The boat drive was interesting. I toured during May so it was a little chilly but coming from the states it felt amazing. We saw the people that live on the water and how they get their resources. If you are a solo traveler I highly recommend.

Very good experience. Our hosts Claudia and Carlitos were friendly and timely arrived in our hotel for the tour with a group of 13 guests. The boat tour was fantastic, as well as the car ride with quick stops at the Vivanco restaurant, Puerto de Frutos and San Isidro cathedral. Overall, an excellent 5-hour trip in Tigre. The sightseeing worths the tour.

Awful. Booked for Tigre Delta trip on our last day in Buenos Aires. They left us waiting outside our hotel for an hour and didn't turn up so we missed out on going.
We phoned them non stop and sent email bit they didn't even bother to answer us. They have still not been on touch so we have no idea why they didn't turn up or get in touch.
Avoid them!

Hola Judy, we are sorry to hear this. We went to pick you up to your hotel and our guide could not find you. So we called to your mobile (by whasapp and line) and to your hotel and we could not reach you. Unfortunatelly we did not receive any email or phone call. However, we will refund you all the money because of this missunderstanding. Thank you. Axel

if you are staying in BA and have time, the Tigre delta is well worth a visit. It is very different to downtown BA and quite picturesque. The various tour options available have the benefit of hotel pick up and drop off. However the downside is that the boats then leave from the main port area. This means it takes around 45 mins before you get to the delta and the interesting bit! The views of the coastline are OK but nothing special.
As well as the delta, we had a snack lunch of Empanadas and a visit to the fruit and furniture market. The market was good but visit time a bit short at just 20 mins.
On the drive back to BA, we stopped at San Isidro to see the cathedral for 10 mins.
If I was doing this again, I would get a taxi to the delta from BA. Taxis are very reasonable in BA and a great way to get around. Then take one of the many local boat trips available around the delta. Then Have a nice lunch at one of the many local restaurants in the area.
Spend an hour or so at the market before getting a taxi back to your hotel. The taxi can stop at San Isidro for 5 minutes if required.
Our guide and driver were good, but once on the boat most of the explanation is pre recorded, so all tours get the same commentary. The initial tour towards the port in BA will mostly already have been covered during a city tour.

We throughly enjoyed our river tour. The boat had inside seating as well as seating on top. There were a couple of bathrooms and minimal refreshments made. It was very fun to see the islands and the homes. Our tour guid was quite informative and we appreciated the stop for snacks at a local restaurant. Would absolutely do this again!
