We had an amazing day on this tour. We booked seamlessly through the agency with regular contact from them. Our guide was due to pick us up at our hostel at 8.30a.m. Marcello our guide arrived right on time! He is an amazing guide, so informative. He gave us loads of recommendations of resturants, places to visit, things to do and was full of tips along the way.
We had a look around San Antonio town along the way, again Marcello was so informative.
The visit to the Estancia was wonderful. The grounds and scenery is so beautiful. We were greeted with drinks of choice (wine) and delicious empanadas. After a look around the grounds, we were off horseriding. I've never been on a horse before but felt so safe especially with Marcello there to give tips on how to guide the horse. After the horseriding, we had a FEAST of amazing meats, salads and more wine. The food was top class and we had so many options. After lunch, we had some lovely entertainment of folklore music and dancing.
An amazing trip, would highly recommend this trip and the company. Its well worth the money.
Our only regret is that we couldn't stay for a few days!!

Marcelo our guide was so friendly, professional and very informative. The whole day was superb, but the highlight was visiting El Ombú de Areco. The hosts were very welcoming, great food and music and thoroughly enjoyed the horse riding. Don’t worry if you don’t ride; the horses are amazing and the Gauchos that take you out are so supportive (also great cooks!). Special mention to all the rescue dogs who were great fun! All in all, a very special and wonderful day and thank you so much to Marcelo and everyone who made us feel so welcome.

We kept to the itinerary as described in the advertisement. The hospitality and food at the ranch were excellent. The group was very international, and we enjoyed conversing with each other. Riding horses, watching and participating in the dances, and observing the horse being "tamed" made the experience special.

Booked this tour which initially seemed expensive and were positively surprised. Marcelo has guided us the whole day, gave us insights, background information and shared views on how life on an estancia is nowadays. Perfect.

Marcelo, our guide demonstrated a concise and clear understanding of the history of Buenos Aires as well as its flora and fauna. During our visit to San Antonio Areco and El Ombo Estancia he was greeted warmly by all artisans of San Antonio and staff of El Ombo. This strength added a richness to our experience. The food at El Ombo is excellent and served with grace. Marcelo is a very careful driver his car is well maintained. He listens well to your questions and is interested in your point of view.

Tour taken as offered from cruise line. A long ride but interesting to see the counrty side out of the city. Guide was informative. On arrival we were offered a welcome wine drink. Then we had an opportunity to ride a horse drawn wagon and/or horseback ride. Meal was traditional Asado. Meat was served on spits and was everything form excellent to overdone. Dance/gaucho show was very good.

Our guide made the trip most enjoyable. Her name is Aime with an accent on the e, pronounced "eye-MAY". She explained everything about the mate and also the gaucho culture. If you go to Argentina, don't just stay in BA, get out into the countryside. This tour also included lunch and what a lunch. The BBQ meat just kept coming. If you like meat, you gonna love this tour. The music, the dancing, the horses, all good.

Is it possible to be picked up at the Port with luggage and at the end of the day be dropped off at the airport instead of a hotel? There are 4 of us traveling together.

Is the horseback riding included in the price? How long is the ride?
Robyn M

Yes the price is all inclusive. The ride is up to an hour depending on the size of the group and the weather (hence underfoot) conditions). Definitely a very gentle ride through some of the fields on the farm so very suited to inexperienced riders. The horses are also very gentle on the whole. They match the horse to your level of experience and how comfortable you are with these animals. We had a lot of fun.

Is there a maximum weight/ height per person for the ride? My husband is very tall at 6ft6 and we would not want to get there and him miss out on that party! Many thanks
Many years ago I looked after a stable of 12 horses and taught riding. Height is not such a big problem on a horse (horse = 14.2 hands or more) but a heavy weight person may strain some horses make them lame. I suggest you message "Signature Tours" on facebook, tell them your husband's weight. They should ask the ranch is they have a horse suitable.

Late afternoon. Sorry I can't remember exact times but we showered when we got back and went out for tea without it being too much of a rush.
