This was AMAZING!
10/10 recommend this trip - it's a private fishing tour on a traditional fishing boat. We caught 30 fish in 4 hours, and then for to enjoy them freshly grilled on the beach.
1. Our driver, Antu, was one of the best drivers we have had! He answered all our questions about Bali culture and also pointed out many cool things on the side of the road and views like the volcano!
We will be booking him again for other day trips we plan. He was so polite, friendly and had a great sense of humor
2. Our fishing guide on the boat was knowledgable, great help and great teacher while on the boat. He continually rebaited the lines for us, and we even went to 3-4 spots when the fish slowed down the bites. All up the three of us (me, husband and fishing guide) caught 30 fish! Amazing
3. The lunch on the beach was amazing, the beer was cold and the water was divine and warm to swim in
All in all, most amazing fishing tour we have done and will 100% do it again when we visit Bali again. Do not hesitate to book - it's worth so much more than you pay!!!

We had a great time on this tour with our driver Arya, who is super friendly and helpful. The day started promptly with us getting picked up from our hotel lobby. We are staying in the Nusa Dua area so the drive to Virgin beach is about 2 hours, which is somewhat on the long side, but certainly within reason. Virgin beach itself was definitely a nice little hidden cove of great scenery and vibe. We got started with fishing as soon as we arrived and our fishing guides were equally friendly. They showed us how to do bottom fishing and despite both of us being complete novices, we still caught 7 or 8 fish after about an hour! Afterwards we continued with spear fishing. It requires a little bit of free diving ability here compared to other places that I’ve done it before, where the water is much shallower. I was able to catch one fish, which was totally exhilarating. All of our catch was then brought to a restaurant right on the beach and grilled. Certainly some of the best fish I’ve ever had! Overall, definitely recommend the trip if you are looking at trying out line fishing or spear fishing in Bali!

My partner and I had a beautiful experience. Our driver and guide for the day picked us up from our hotel room and we cannot rate Made our driver highly enough. His driving was extremely safe and he also was kind enough to supply us with bottled, cold drinking water.
The water was a little choppy, but I felt comfortable enough to go out on the boat with my fishing guide.
Although we did not catch any monster fish, we caught quite a few smaller fish that was beautifully grilled for us on the beach over coals.
A lovely experience and I will definitely do it again next time I am in Bali.

Highly recommend this tour. We were looking for something outside of Kuta, so this tour fits the bill. Sumo was our guide and he was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about Bali culture and customs. Virgin Beach on east Bali (about 2 hours from Kuta) was a real gem and very beautiful. The boat ride for the fishing was an amazing experience. We were on a traditional Balinese catamaran. It was a great day with beautiful sun and green-blue waters. The two fishermen who accompanied us were very kind as well. We caught many fish and the restaurant was kind enough to clean and cook our biggest catch. We also stopped by a natural sea salt factory, which was also a pleasant experience. I recommend Sumo and the East Bali fishing tour.

Dissapointed, We specifically asked for the spear fishing which was the entire point of the trip. After we booked, I messeged to confirm once again that spear fishing was available, to which they replied that it was. Upon arriving and boarding the boat they hand us some rods and we start fishing. I ask about the spear fishing and the guide says that only he has a spear and that we couldn't use it, I explained that I triple checked with the agency that organized this, and he said that we still couldnt use it. Apart from that, they would take us to places later where there were people all the time coming up to ask us for us to buy from them, which we understood and were okay with it. But when we bought from them and told them we didn't want anything else they became angry and would keep coming up. At no point were we disrespectful with them, yet when we declined buying anything else they would become angry. I later found out that they were related to the fishermen that took us, and they had been told by our guide to come sell stuff to us. The place they took us to fish in, had very small fish and was nothing like the pictures. Finally the driver almost got into traffic accidents several times and would drive erratically. I come from a country where the driving isnt great and has similar traffic culture to Indonesia, but it was still dangerous driving even by those standards. Even wearing seatbelts we were thrown off of our seats a few times. The driver still requested a tip, despite us having paid a lot extra for the driving. we gave him a tip and he got annoyed that it wasnt the tip he expected.
overall not a good experience and dissapointed with how this is advertised and priced.
The beach and the landscape was very pretty and the fish that was cooked for us was made very well. Apart from that I didn't enjoy this trip.

Absolutely fantastic day out! Our tour guide was Arya who was absolutely brilliant, he was very informative, friendly & polite also his English was very good too so it was very easy to communicate with him. Virgin Beach itself is so stunning & tranquil, we chose to fish with rod & line and we ended up catching 15 fish which was excellent, the fisherman on the boat were also very friendly & polite and they were very good at what they do. I would highly recommend this trip.

One of my best trips in Bali!
You’ll get spear fishing, line fishing, snorkling and sightseeing all at once. Not to mention that your lunch will be well cooked with the fishes you’ve caught!
Our guide and driver is Arya, and he is truly amazing. He prepared cold water and towel, and he tried his best to help whenever we need. We dropped our phone into the water and within a minute he brought out a bag of rice for us, trying to see if the phone can be saved. Not to mention that he is also our translator when we were at the salt plantation.
Velon and Jablay are the captains on the boat. They help and guide us through fishing (fishing has never been so easy!) and they taught my husband how to freedive and try spear fishing.
A very satisfied trip and we both enjoy it very much !

This was a wonderful experience. Our guide, Sumo, was attentive, knowledgable, and a pleasure to spend time with. We had a great time and would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing time on the beach and fishing in the Ocean.

We had a wonderful day at magnificent Virgin Beach in East Bali. We caught 2 lobsters with our guide, very little tourists around. The water has amazing quality and this is not really a fishing trip, but more a full-day holiday experience as the nature around there is so beautiful.

Our Driver Arya picked us up at the Hostel and drove us nearly 2 hours to Virgin Beach. He is such a great and friendly person and told us so many interestings things about Bali. He was a really happy guy at all times and this made out Trip so great! Would definitely recommend having him as a driver! When we arrived at the Beach we did not have to wait for long Instructions and could Start right away, what was perfect! We could decide if we want to go bottom fishing or spear fishing, so we did both and caught several smaller fish. After the Trip we brought the fish to a local Restaurant at the Beach and they made it for us. The taste was just great! At the way back Arya showed us different interesting things, like traditional salt making or nice views over the sea. The whole Trip was totally worth it and we can fully recommend the Trip! Thanks to Arya aswell!
