Rouan took us on a private wine tour around 3 vineyards in the east of Stellenbosch. He was friendly, very knowledgable and provided a very professional and kind service through out the day. The weather was beautiful and the vineyards each had there own selling point- from tasting wine on the balcony with views, to traditional courtyards and finishing with views with a platter. We even received a complimentary bubbly from Rouan due to finding out it was our honeymoon. A huge thank you to him for making our trip to Stellenbosch so memorable!

We were a group of family of 6 and enjoyed every second. The driver was very informative. Our first stop was LilyPatrick, which is a new brewery and it was unforgettable. In our group was a few anti beer and brqndy drinkers, but they partook every time and it was hilarious.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!! Such a great day with an absolute pleasure of a tourgide who goes out of his way to make sure you get your money's worth. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is a beer and brandy fanatic.

We didn’t actually do a tour so I ticked the. ‘Other’ button. We specifically wanted to go to lunch at the De Grendel Winery but although we are not big drinkers we both wanted a drink of wine so couldn’t use our hire car to drive there. We were staying in Stellenbosch and Jake was very punctual in picking us up. He took us there and left us for our lunch. He hung around the area and was there to pick us up when we needed him. On the way back he took a different, more scenic route and told us a lot about the area on the way. It was all very efficient and friendly. If I was to return and want to do a wine tour, I would choose this company.

We had a very nice day with Jakobus and can recommend this tour to everybody. He picked us up at the hotel on time and showed us 3 different wineries all very nice. Recommended by our last hotel owner. Jakes picked us up from our Capetown Hotel. After finding out our wine interests he planned our day. We visited 4 wineries and had lunch in a beautiful setting. We had a wonderful time with Jakobus as our guide through the vineyards of Stollenbosch. We hadn’t booked anything, and came in last minute for our honeymoon without anything booked. We thoroughly enjoyed the tastings and the experience. You can’t go wrong with Jakobus as your guide! He’s real, he’s human, he’s super knowledgeable about the area. We had an absolute blast!!

My wife and I spent a full day with Jake, traveling around Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Jake was a fantastic guide, super knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the region - which is surely one of the most beautiful places in the world. Jake also arranged lunch for us at Overture restaurant, which I would say should not be missed!

We had a great day of wine tasting in Stellenbosch. We visited the beautiful estates of Eikendal, Waterford, Thelema, Noble Hill & Warwick and had lunch at Tokara (see picture). Thank you very much!

My wife and I took this private wine tasting to improve our knowledge of South Africa's Chenin Blanc and Pinotage Red. We fed this to Jake, who runs African Wonder Tours, when we initially met so he could plan the best wineries to visit. We were not disappointed and the wineries that were chosen, (Tokara, Rustenberg, L'Avenir and Muratie) produced quite excellent wines, as well as the ones we were particularly interested in. Also the lunch that was provided at L'Avenir was superb. In summary, we had a fantastic day of tastings (with lunch) and Jake, our host, was so knowledgeable and accommodating throughout the whole day. We can't recommend this tour more highly and it is a must for for those who wish to improve their knowledge of all the quality wines that the Western Cape produce. My wife and myself were taken on a private vineyard tour by Jake. He was an excellent guide very knowledgeable. We visited four vineyards and tasted over 20 wines. I can highly recommend the private tour as we were able to set our own pace and not be rushed. We loved all four vineyards but particularly La Motte and Allee Bleue where we bought some wine to bring home

Three different wineries on a beautiful day with no driving and a very knowledgeable guide. An excellent way to spend the day.
