About
Enjoy some of the famous wines of the Cape Winelands as well as historic towns and scenic drives while exploring Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Franschhoek. Our pickup service from Cape Town costs R1450 per person (a minimum of 3 people). We visit three wineries in Stellenbosch (Paarl or Franschhoek), with tastings included, and learn about the history and culture of the area. The valleys of Stellenbosch have been growing grapes since the 1600s, making them the largest wine-producing region in the nation. In the fall, Franschhoek, Paarl, Pniel, Stellenbosch, Klapmuts, Wellington, and Tulbagh grapevines turn a vibrant crimson, ochre, and brown.
- A wine tour from Cape Town
- Visit the spectacular Paarl Valley, where you can enjoy a wine-tasting and cellar tour
- See the beautiful village of Franschhoek. Walk around Stellenbosch, the second-oldest town in South Africa!
- Enjoy this relaxing day out in the wine lover's paradise

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- travelalot3450 contributionsA disappointment becomes a blessingThe tour was cancelled by the ferry operator due to mechanical issues. I was able to process a full refund through Viator by calling their phone number. There was no way to cancel in the app without incuring the 100% cancellation fee because we only learned of the ferry cancellation when arriving for the tour. I appreciated Viator's telephone service to work through the cancellation and full refund process.Written March 24, 2025
- codjon_r_egmaximen0 contributionsTerrible logistics from Horizon tours — better buy your ticket yourselfEverything when well on the island great tours guide and great stories. Giraffe horizon tour did a poor job for the logistics.. It was very difficult to get the ticket which involved multiple confirmations by mail etc. On the day of the event, I had to beg to get instructions. Operators were not proactive.Written March 14, 2025
- Jim M0 contributionsRobben Usland by expertsThe history is sad but incredible, and to have someone who was there tell the stories makes this one of the better experiences.Written March 9, 2025
- L6390WKmarilynd0 contributionsBest value day out everAbsolutely amazing morning out. Our guide whose name I can’t pronounce but it starts Taf was one of the best guides we have ever had. It was absolute fantastic and made even more special by our guideWritten March 9, 2025
- FarAway175173660650 contributionsLieven was a great host and driverLieven was so customer focused and made sure we were well taken care of. I will recommend all my friends to him. We hope to see him again when we come back next yearWritten February 23, 2025
- mariony9140 contributionsTable MountainWe were picked up and dropped off door to door by Lieven who was very helpful and pleasant. Table Mountain itself was under a cloud which was a shame as we didn’t see the spectacular views. However it was enjoyable and as we made our way back the cloud lifted. Lieven was waiting to pick us up and drive us home. Thank youWritten February 22, 2025
- Navigate257883379430 contributionsBest way to book Robben IslandI highly recommend booking your Robben Island ticket through this tour company! Doing so ensures you peace of mind to visit this “must see” historic South African site on the day and time that best fits your schedule. I had a flight delay and called them in a panic because I would miss my tour time. Tafa answered right away and said it was no problem to move me to a later time. Then, when that tour was canceled due to weather, I contacted him again and he easily rescheduled me for another date. The flexibility afforded through this tour company is really valuable and saved me from losing my money when my flight was delayed. Thank you, Tafa! Plus, this is an emotionally moving, insightful, and powerful place to visit. Learning the history straight from a former political prisoner was incredible! I left with an experience that changed me for the better. Book it and see for yourself!Written February 21, 2025
- Ambassador933330 contributionsExcellent food tour with LievenLieven was an excellent guide and a very nice man. Through the restaurants that we visited and through answering our many questions we really felt that we gained a much better impression of life In Cape Town. At the restaurants he took us to we were served a wide range of delicious dishes and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We'd heartily recommend Lieven and this tour!Written February 19, 2025
- A5431VOlizp0 contributionsA great guide!Unfortunately the cable car was closed at Table Mountain because of wind, but our guide, Lieven, was amazing and gave us a first rate day. We hiked at Lions Head, he took us to Bo-kap and then to the gardens. He also drove us back to our hotel. It took most of the day and was not the original plan but it was a perfect day.Written February 15, 2025
- Daniel A0 contributionsWorthwhile trip. All in all a worthwhile experience but a little industrial in delivery with much of the first half spent sitting in a bus being talked to. The prison visit itself was good and I totally like the idea that ex-political prisoners take the tours making the narrative authentic. They could possibly improve the availability and range of food and drink and the amount of time spent off the bus. How about selling food and drink on the boat which is a 40 minute trip?Written February 9, 2025
