- GavinB13390 contributionsLovely Cheetah InteractionWe had an amazing time meeting Tobias (cheetah), who seemed to really be enjoying his pets and time with the visitors. The staff and volunteers were friendly and inviting and they do amazing work taking care of all the animals there, which now includes a new cheetah cub. They took some great photos of us petting the Cheetah too. Booking this through Cape Falls Tours was easy and inexpensive and our tour guide, Principal, was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for a great day!Written January 29, 2025

- A4973RXjamesl0 contributionsA Memorable Tour with an Amazing Host!I had an absolutely wonderful time on the Cheetah Outreach Tour last week, coupled with visits to Gordon’s Bay and Strand Beaches. My guide, Elifas, truly made the experience unforgettable. From the moment we began, he kept the ride entertaining with his great sense of humor and fascinating stories about the local areas, as well as his personal journey since moving to Cape Town from Zimbabwe. His knowledge and warm personality added so much to the trip. The Cheetah Outreach was a highlight - being able to see cheetahs up close, touch one briefly, and have a photo taken by a ranger (all while in very safe hands) was an incredible experience. Afterward, we briefly stopped by Strand Beach for a photo opportunity before heading over to Gordon’s Bay. There, I had more time to explore the shops, enjoy some food, and take a relaxing walk along the beautiful beach before heading back to Cape Town. Elifas was a gracious and entertaining host who truly cared about making the trip special for me. Thank you for an unforgettable experience - I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cape Town!Written January 19, 2025
- shiorik3080 contributionsTouching Cheetah! I could touch cheetahs at a Cheetah Outreach! I thought that I could touch cheetah, but I was really impressed because I could stroke it. I could even feel the cheetah's breathing. I was grateful that the videos and photos were taken by experienced staff. Our tour guide, the principal, was also full of hospitality, and we had a lot of fun talking about Japanese culture!Written January 10, 2025
- Daydream6781510 contributionsLet's Touch Cheetah! You can touch cheetahs safely. Cheetahs are an endangered species and can be moody, but this zoo has many cheetahs and you can touch them safely. The zookeepers clearly explained the precautions and took many wonderful photos for us. The cheetahs' fur and bodies were beautiful and I will never forget the excitement of touching them. I would also like to mention our guide, Principal. He created a very fun atmosphere during the tour. He responded sincerely to our requests. I made a South African friend. Thank you, Principal.Written January 9, 2025
- Ralph N0 contributionsGreat learning experience. The hands on visit with the cheetah was really special and well worth it. Just as special was our guide Ishmael. He paid attention to the individual interest and then went out of his way to highlight those areas. I personally learned an amazing amount of South African history. He explained many aspects of South Africa you don't find in books. Also a genuine nice person.Written December 13, 2024

- mjpshaw0 contributionsAn excellent tour to see the Cheetah sanctuary and moreThis tour turned out to be one of the best experiences we have had in Cape Town. The driver/ guide Elfas is an excellent tour guide. He is highly reliable and totally devoted to catering to our touring curiosity. It was nice to get his perspectives on the city’s culture and history. We enjoyed every stop in this tour and he was always there when we need him. The Cheetah sanctuary is nice to see and the staff members made a collective effort to make sure visitors like us got good pictures with the selected cheetah there. It’s done in a way that accommodate the particular cheetah’s mood and the process itself was educational. Other stops helped enhance our positive impressions about this beautiful city. Overall it is fairly relaxed too. This tour is highly recommended.Written November 30, 2024

Animals are in a large pen, this is not the natural experience you are led to believe you will get. Animals are not wild, they are kept and fed by rangers. The half day, takes the full day if you travel from CapeTown.
We left at 9am from CapeTown and returned at 6:30pm. We spent most of the day driving. The buffet lunch was nice but the safari, if you can call it that, only lasted for 1.5 hours. An absolute joke, but you will see all the animals, as they are basically kept in a big pen, so they can’t go anywhere. Just like in a zoo!
