Binny is the best tour guide! I had such a fun (and challenging) hike up Table Mountain with a group of friends. The views were breathtaking. Binny gave us really helpful and interesting information about the history of the mountain and its vegetation. We had the most amazing time. Thank you!

Lynette was wonderful. She found a group I could join for an amazing hike. We got lots of great photos and learned about the flora and fauna. She taught us how to climb safely and also made recommendations about places of interest to check out. When I come back to Cape Town I will book another hike with her as there are so many to do.

I had a superb climb of Table Mountain with Binny Ridgway in early April 2024. Conditions were testing, and some routes had been washed out due to a recent storm. There was cloud/fog everywhere, right from the start, and there was cold rain in the air. I would say it was a near-impossible climb for a novice. So it was fortuitous that we teamed up with Ridgway Ramblers, and its chief guide, Binny. She was excellent. She took us up Nursery Ravine, to the Beacon, and across to the cable car, and it was clear she knew every step of the way and was never disorientated, despite minimal visibility. It was masterful guiding. She was calm, reassuring, totally in control, and ever cheerful. I've climbed with Binny before, and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her to anyone (of any standard) who wants the really satisfying buzz of climbing one of the world's most iconic mountains. Thank you.

We made the interesting decision to climb Table Mountain in the strong wind this week and we were so grateful for Binny’s experience and expertise on our hike - without her I’m not sure I would’ve had the confidence to keep climbing! She picked us up promptly from our hotel, took us to the mountain and guided us through every step. She was very helpful with knowing what the best plan of action was in the weather conditions we had, and also was just really lovely to chat with for the duration of the trip! We had a fantastic experience with Binny and we would not hesitate to recommend Ridgway Ramblers!

Great family hike up Table Mountain via the Platteklip Gorge route with Binny. We went as a family of four including kids aged 8 and 11. Binny picked us up from our hotel is Camps Bay and dropped us back off. We set off at 7am and were back at our hotel for breakfast at 10.30am! Definitely happy we went with a guide to do the hike. Even though Platteklip Gorge is a popular route, it really helped having an experienced guide to set the pace and keep us going! I think if we went by ourselves firstly we probably would’ve backed out of the hike, and secondly wouldn’t have paced it well. In addition, Binny gave us excellent commentary on all the fauna and wildlife which kept things interesting for everyone. The kids did not complain once! Great experience overall. Can’t come to Cape Town and not hike Table Mountain! And highly recommend doing it with Binny, you won’t regret it!

Binny is the BEST tour guide one can find! She adapted the level of hiking to our family and made sure everyone felt comfortable while climbing. During our hike, she told us all about the South-African plants, flowers and nature. She knows the table mountain like the back of her hand, that is why we always felt at ease. For those who dont like tourists and prefer to do it "the local way", I really recommend hiking with Binny. She is so lovely, kind and funny!

A fabulous hike with Binny. She is super flexible and really informative. We all enjoyed learning more about Cape Town and the environment around it. We did a ridge walk which was perfect for us.

We had a great 2 days hiking tour at the cape of good hope hiking trail with Binny. Not only hiking with Binny was so much fun but she also knows a lot about all the animals, plants and the surrounding nature. Binny led our family of 6 adults, with varying levels of fitness and hiking experience, on our hike up Table Mountain. She was in touch with us in advance of the hike and had had a pack full of sustenance (bars, juice, and extra room for the things we couldn't carry). We hiked both Table Mountain (Indian Venster) and Lion's Head with Binny. She was great! The hikes, while challenging (especially Indian Venster), felt easy with her as she made sure we knew exactly where to put our feet. She made us feel comfortable the whole way up and was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and the flora and fauna we saw on the hikes. She was also accomodating when weather affected our plans last minute. Highly recommended!
