About the operator

- jasminec8760 contributionsGreat Quality Tour and PriceThis is definitely the way to go! If I go back to Cape Town, I will use the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Transport service. I used them in Cape Town and Johannesburg. The audio was perfect, the staff were great, the information was superb, the environment and ride was wonderful. The lady driving the bus went above and beyond for us and provided us great information as we ended up being the last people on the bus. I LOVED using this tour. The price and value is great!! The only small issue is that because I could not find my original receipt from the Cape Town tour, they would not give me the 15% discount for the Johannesburg tour. I had my electronic receipt and even my original paper receipt. I just did not have the receipt I turned in for the boarding receipt. I believe they should allow the 15% off in that case.Written June 19, 2024
- TravelingBug20240 contributionsThe Hop On Hop Off Bus Transport with the Cape Town City Pass Is a MUST and a SUPER DEAL!The Hop On Hop Off bus transport including the Cape Town city pass is by far the best way to tour/see all of the best must visit places/attractions in and around Cape Town. Once you purchase the city pass, you will be provided with a booklet of all of the attractions that you can choose from for the entire day. I think that the city pass is totally worth it!Written June 14, 2024
- AdventureDiva0 contributionsGreat views of Table MountainTo see local views from above gave a different perspective of Cape Town's overall landscape. I did the twenty minute ride instead of the ten minute ride which paid off nicely. The clouds around Table Mountain dispersed and I got to see the iconic mountain in full view.Written June 3, 2024

- rdubbs080 contributionsIt went around!I am not sure what else to say other than that it went around! An iconic staple in the V&A Waterfront area, we headed straight here on our first night. The wait was short, the ride circular and the kids happy! It is sort of a must do if in town!Written April 15, 2024
- junew20160 contributionsA must doThis was such a good experience, reliable service and friendly staff that got us everywhere we wanted to be. We probably didn't get full value out of ticket as we were very tired after an overnight flight so didn't do the sunset cruise as planned on Day one but we thoroughly enjoyed everything we did, especially the purple wine bus route. A great way to see the city in a short time.Written April 11, 2024
- 353shelleyp0 contributionsGreat value, professional done, regular.Excellent value on the 5 day pass - around £90 including 5 days HOHO (blue, red and purple wine bus), frequent, 20 mins most, and often more on the areas where blue and red converge, and not full (although bear in mind it is Autumn now). 80 attractions, although you won't do them all (or want to do them all) and you would have to be really on it to get the full value. Best for us was Groot Constantia, table mountain, sunset tour, sunset cruise, we also availed of the free lunches which were great. Bear in mind that the loops are quite large (over 2 hours for the blue, over an hour for the red). Good recorded commentary in multiple languages. Staff lovely and helpful, loos in the main office in V & A. In 5 days the equivalent would have cost us over £200. Helpful booklet. We bought ours in advance and downloaded and printed, only to find that only the best scanners could cope with the paper copy, but we had a phone copy of the barcodes, and this worked fine. Safe place to see things.Written March 28, 2024
- angie m0 contributionsGood value for moneyThis was a god send and a great way to.see the city. Just a shame that the bus only goes one way round. We were lucky that our hotel wad just a couple of minutes walk from one of the stops. The guy on at the cape wheel couldn't get our passes to scan, so went on a bit of a wild goose chase to see what the problem was, but they were scanning and working fine everywhere else. I was also surprised to find they didn't gain entry to the botanical garden, so our visit here was an extra expense. We visited a lot of sights and as we had the premium pass went on the shark dive too (though we had to pay extra for the transportation). While it's definitely a worthwhile expense it could be made better by having the buses run both directions and have them run a little later into the evening. All of the bus drivers were brilliant very friendly and helpful as were the staff in the Information offices.Written March 20, 2024

- timothyp8030 contributionsWonderful views and comfortable rideWe were most impressed with the excellent narratiion and routes the bus took. The weather the day we went was outstanding and the views around Cape Town were superb. Even got to go up Table Mountain for the iconic views of the city and Robben IslandWritten January 28, 2024
- DesmondC7250 contributionsCape Town Ferris wheel.Splendid location on the water front, good views of the harbour, visitors are photographed before they board and the photograph is awaiting your return. Price is 175 Rand for 4 spins, no reduction for old age pensioners unless they hold South African residency but free for children below 4 years of age.Written January 24, 2024
- zeenithm0 contributionsThrillingAmazing ride, absolutely gorgeous views of the city . We encounter some wind, which made the ride a yhriller as we rocked back and forth. But absolutely safe . A definite must doWritten January 6, 2024
- kristinareuber0 contributionsWorth the PurchaseI recommend getting a City Pass. It covers admission into so many things such as the cable car up Table Mountain. It gets you discounts on other things such as a guided wine region tour. When you get your hop on hop off (HOHO) bus ticket, you are given some headphones to keep which you plug into the jack at your seat and it narrates the route. You may sit outdoors up top or indoors down below. It was a joy just taking the blue route all the way around. The drive is very scenic and if you see something you wanna check out, simply hop off. Note: If you want to get the discount when making a booking after you already purchased your pass you would need to make that booking in person at one of the City Pass help desks which is on the HOHO route anyway. It's easy and the staff are very helpful.Written November 24, 2023
