After the super experience with Denver our guide for the half day city tour we requested him again for the full day tour. Our guide was very informative. He could tell us about the history of Cape Town and the modern city, and the surrounding areas. We throughly enjoyed both tours

This tour was excellent and informative, with plenty of stop offs to see the cape peninsular, penguins at boulders beach, town of Stellenbosch and wine testing. The guide Freezo was superb.

The actual locations we went to during this tour were great, don’t get me wrong. But the tour guide, Chris (if that’s even his name, he spoke Afrikaans, Spanish, and Dutch), was absolutely awful. He was super negative the entire time and was EXTREMELY rude to almost everyone he came into contact with. Yelling at Muslim women and cursing at parking attendants. He also made everyone in the tour uncomfortable when he stopped to buy weed...
We even met up with some of the other tour guests the following day and the consensus was the same. What a jerk.
We couldn’t wait to get the whole thing over with.

My wife and I visited Cape Town and did the full day Highlights of Cape Town tour by minibus organized by African and Eagle which took visitors down to the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point then back up to the Stellenbosch wine region before returning to Cape Town. We were collected at 8:50am and returned to the hotel at 5.30pm and we were accompanied by approximately 10 adults and one small girl comprising three separate parties.
The first thing to note is that this is a long journey and involves a lot of driving for the guide. The trip is a very good way of seeing the region outside of Cape Town, but there is a lot for the guide to do. Any time lost in the morning can only be made up by shortening stops later in the day, at which point the guide has to mediate between the requirements of each party.
The guide tried his best to please everybody and for this should be commended for what is quite a stressful day. However we do have some criticisms of the tour:-
1. The drivers microphone was not working making it very difficult to hear for people at the back of the bus.
2. Time was lost at Cape Point whilst the driver collected payment for any persons who had not paid in advance. In our opinion this was unnecessary if payment had been resolved prior to the works commencing.
3. The part of the tour, which included wine tasting was arranged on a Saturday when a number of the vineyards close early. Hence it was missed. Also the only wine tasting on offer from an open vineyard incurred an additional cost.
In future we would recommend taking separate tours for the Cape and separate tours for Stellenbosch provided this gave more time at each site.
Would we use African & Eagle again: probably not: we would either make are own arrangements or pay more for a private tour.

Although the weather could have been a little better, we very much enjoyed the day tour Best of the Cape. Our guide Friso managed to find the right balance between giving personal attention and giving space to be able to enjoy all the beauty that the Cape has to offer. The information provided by Friso enabled us to get a good picture of Cape Town, the area and the residents.
All in all a very interesting and fun tour that is definitely worth it.

I actually booked somewhere else, but I was placed with African Eagle and it was great. We had so much fun. As I only had one day and wanted to see all the highlights, this was perfect for me. We had a great group, called the family of Farouk, who was our guide. Farouk did a great job by telling us a lot and having many good jokes.
