We did the private Kruger safari (full day) with Hennie as our guide. Pre-safari administration was smooth and pickup was punctual. Hennie was very knowledgeable in wildlife and the park, including the birds that we came across. The safari was amazing as we managed to observe many wildlife and Hennie has a sharp eye even for the smallest detail and movement from far. He also shared amazing photos he took during our safari game drive. Overall a satisfying game drive at Kruger National Park with Hennie. Highly recommended!

If you’re looking for an unforgettable safari experience, Hennie is your guide! We’ve visited Kruger several times before, but Hennie truly elevated our trip to a whole new level. From the very beginning, he was incredibly informative and relaxed, making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. His knowledge of the park, its animals, and their behavior is outstanding. What really stood out was his ability to find unique, once-in-a-lifetime encounters. We witnessed a lion feeding on a kill, had a close encounter with a leopard on the hunt, saw a male lion observing impala from a distance, and even spotted a baby rhino! Hennie was patient, giving us time to fully appreciate these moments, and allowed us to sit quietly in nature while taking in the scenes. He also ensured there were plenty of photo opportunities, whilst also capturing some fantastic shots himself throughout the day, which he kindly sent to us via email afterward. Hennie paced the trip perfectly, giving us ample time to absorb each experience while keeping things moving to explore more. He was patient with all of our questions, and no query was ever too much for him. Even as seasoned Kruger visitors, this trip felt fresh and exciting, thanks to Hennie’s expertise and enthusiasm. We had the most amazing game drive with Hennie. Not only did he answer all our questions, but he also impressed us with his know-how. We would definitely come back to Kruger and only choose doing a tour with Hennie again!

My guide Hennie was very knowledgeable and an excellent animal spotter. Also they let you order as a solo traveler which many of the other safari providers I found did not.

A trip to the Kruger is not complete without a trip with Private Kruger Safaris. This time we were driven by Jens, an incredible guide. He was given a stiff task right from the outset - I think when Hennie and Jens now see Paddy coming, they run for the hills - he wants wild dogs, but they run away when they hear he is coming. So, no wild dog but it didn't worry the rest of us as we had lions after lions after lions as well as buffalo and so much more. We were very happy with our day out. However, it was not the end. We were spoilt with a sighting of a lifetime. We were on the Sand River bridge when a lioness jumped up over the bridge and a lone buffalo was feeding... all of a sudden there were another 3 lionesses, and we were in the midst of a kill. A bucket list tick of great proportions as the 4 lionesses took down the buffalo in front of us. It was very emotional and scary at times, but the adrenalin rush was out of this world. Thank you, team, for an experience of a lifetime! See you on our next visit.

The Safari could not have been better and the guide could not have been nicer. Thanks to Jens' experience and network with other guids we were able to see the most incredible lion sightings. We enjoyed a lot and would definitely book again with them!

Great tour operator, booked almost at the very last minutes, prompt response on Whats App. Excellent and knowledgeable driver, right on time picking us up from the hotel, good communication from the meetup, thankful for 2way radio system for exchanging info with other tour drivers, we saw wild dogs which were rare to see and we would miss out on an entire Hyenas in action scenes. 100% recommendations from us.

Jens was a wonderful tour guide. He helped us find animals (we saw 4 of the big 5), then he positioned the vehicle so that we could take good pictures He was respectful of the animals and it was obvious that he, like us, was a lover of these magnificent creatures and enjoyed our delight in seeing them. We were lucky to see quite a few babies as well. Jens made the day so enjoyable. The four of us felt this was the highlight of our trip to South Africa and I heartily recommend this company if you are planning on doing a safari in Kruger Park.

We had the day of our live. Bernard and his brother Hennie are the best game drivers you can wish. It is their passion and the show true respect for the animals, their habitat and the nature. We had seen 4 of the big 5 the day before when we went ourselves into the park. So, we asked Hennie if it was possible to see the Rhino. Hennie knew the area where hitrate was potentially highest, he took us there and we were lucky to see 8 rhino's. The nice thing if you have a professional guide, is you don't have to worry where to go, they share live info where the animals are and you have a much beter experience. Hennie explained everything very well during the drive. On top he made a lot of professiol pictures that were sent to us afterwards. So, if you want the best game drive, we would certainly recommend Bernard or Hennie. And last but not least: the offer a very fair price.

I contacted PK Safaris on June 1 for a safari we wanted to take starting June 22 so rather short notice. I received an email very quickly and we hammered out the details in a relatively short amount of time which I'm sure was afterhours for them. The company bent over backward to accommodate myself and my husband over our preferred days on a 4 day/3 night safari. We then had travel woes getting to Johannesburg. It took us 48 hours and instead of flying staring from ATL to JNB, we had to fly from the US to Scotland, train to London, then London to Joburg. However, once we got to JNB, we were eager to get to Kruger so we got on an earlier flight to Skukuza and PK Safaris once again went above and beyond to meet us earlier at the airport. We were exhausted but couldn't check into camp so we roamed around and to our surprise, saw a ton of animals between noon and 2 pm. However, once we got to our bungalow, we checked out for the rest of that day. Each day thereafter our guides met us at 6 am - it was just the four of us which was absolutely perfect. Off we would go for 4-5 hours. Then we'd either go back to camp or hit a rest area inside Kruger late morning. Then we'd be off again around 2 pm until the camp closed the gate at sunset. We saw the Big 5 and then some!! Each day was different and each time we went out in the truck, we learned so much. We took around 600 pictures and videos. Our guides were knowledgeable and fun. I couldn't imagine a better experience. A+++ I would 100% recommend them for your safari in Kruger or the other places they service. Wonderful, fantastic, amazing, over-the-top, stupendous... would all be applicable adjectives for our experience. Thank you PK Safaris for an unforgettable time in Kruger National Park!
