- Camera
- Binoculars
- A good bush hat for summer months or warm beanie in winter
- Sunglasses
- Comfortable shoes
- What to Wear - Summer Months (September to April)
- Cool functional attire preferably in dull darker shades to create uniformity with vehicle and not stand out visually to game species. Always remember a good hat as well as sunscreen. Midday temperatures can reach upward of 40 degrees and afternoons can experience thunder showers. All vehicles are equipped with blankets and waterproof ponchos for our guests.
- What to Wear - Winter Months (May to August)
- During the winter months we typically experience blue skies with a daily average temperature of 20 - 25 degrees celcius. Early morning and late afternoons are cooler and we recommend warmer attire as this is amplified when travelling on an open safari vehicle. - 1Kruger National ParkStop: 7 hoursOur Sunrise Half Day Kruger Safari is perfect if you prefer to only spend a morning in the Park but still want to maximize on game sightings. Our Sunrise Safari departs early for you’re nearest gate of entry. We start from 05h15 in the summer months (Oct – Mar) and from 05h45 during the winter months (Apr – Sept). The early mornings offer a great opportunity to look for nocturnal species that are still active before the sun gets to high and the day warms up. This is a great time to look for Lion, Leopard, WildDog and Hyena. At around 08h00am we will take our first comfort break . After our stop we will continue looking for larger more common species such as Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra and Buffalo. Around 09h30 we will stop at one of the Camps should you still need breakfast. Our Safaris cover a wide variety of interests and we prefer not to rush around just searching for the Big 5. The Kruger is a large space with exceptional Bio-diversity, wonderful heritage and abundant wildlife.Read more

- H4659CQoscaro00Professional Guide. Awesome Experience.Excellent professional guide with a lot of Safari/Animal knowledge; Awesome experience; High recommended for couples, group or individual. Andrew take the necessary time to really enjoy the tour. I’ll definitely repeat with him.
- gmizsak00Amazing DayMy family recently did a full day Safari with Andrew and it could not have been a better day. Andrew is enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable and never seemed to tire of answering our questions about the animals or the park itself. If we had more time, we would have loved to do another day with Andrew as I cannot possibly imagine another guide doing a better job.
- jenniferdS4234VP00Trip of a LifetimeMy friends and I did a custom safari tour with Andrew in April 2023 and it was epic. From our first meeting at the airport to our last goodbye Andrew was full of positive energy and enthusiasm. His passion for his job, the park and the animals that inhabit it is honestly inspiring. Everything was super well organised with enough downtime to relax and enjoy the hotel. Andrew expertly fielded questions on mating rituals, possible Lion King plot issues, Megan, Harry & Prince Andrew and the patriarchy. Impressive. I honestly couldn't recommend Andrew more highly - our safaria with him was the trip of a lifetime
- 687JamesD002nd Year Fantastic TimeHad a phenomenal time with Safaria last week in Kruger. This is our 2nd trip with them and it will not be the last. The family members that joined us this year had just as good a time as we did last year. Andrew is very knowledgeable on the animals and the park. He is very informative and a pleasure to be with. We spent a couple days in the Satara area with him then a couple more days in southern Kruger. If given the opportunity to spend some time with Safaria you will not regret it. Any questions let me know.
- JohnnieCurwen00Totally amazing Kruger Park guide. We had three days private Safari with Andrew and one of his colleagues. I cannot recommend him highly enough, his knowledge is second to none, his attention to detail and ensuring we saw everything we wanted to see was amazing. His passion for Kruger shines through, he really is an extraordinary guide and a totally charming person to spend the day with. I guarantee you will not find a better Kruger guide.
- 18ChrisM18004 Day Private Kruger TourI recently spent 4 days in Kruger with Andy W, as a solo traveller, and can honestly say the whole experience was fantastic. Andy has passion and an intimate knowledge of the local ecology, making our tour much more than just sightseeing. It was a learning experience as well. He has an eye for spotting game others will miss enabling you to see things without the crowds at times, and maximising the personalised experience. In the limited time I had in the park he was able to tailor our trip to maximise viewing opportunities whilst maintaining a flexible approach based on my preferences.
- 687JamesD00Worderful Staff and Great TimeWe planned our trip to Africa more than 18 months in advance. We came across Safaria on TripAdvisor a so glad we did. Andrew was great in answering our many question and providing guidance as the trip neared. We got to experience our 4 days with them with 3 guides and all were fabulous. It was also great visiting/ hearing about their time in Kruger and other places in Africa. All of them tried their best to deliver what we wanted to see. Using their knowledge of the park/ land as well as noticing tracks when we got in those areas. Our experience was unbelievable over the 4 days and I know they nor any guide company can guarantee sightings, but we felt like both Hylton and Andrew both would have still delivered many if the animals did not cooperate as they did. Over the 4 days we saw 5 Rhinos, 7 Leopards, Cheetah, Buffalo, over 30 Lions including a complete pride and several feeding, tons of Ellies, tons of Giraffes, Hippos, Crocs, Kudu and on and on. Don't hold it against them if you aren't this lucky as when we shared many were shocked with the quantity seen. We are already talking about a future trip to Kruger and Andrew/ Safaria will definitely be involved in our trip. They were great!
- KevinLewis_SA00Memorable and inspiringEarly this year, I took an incentive group to Kruger Shalati: The train on the bridge. Being an event producer, I always find it challenging to create a bespoke, one-of-a-kind experience that is different from the limited activities and excursions available in the Kruger National Park. My objective was to create an experience that correlated with my project narrative, create activities and excursions that has not been done before and ultimately deliver an experience that is memorable, unforgettable, and inspiring. We succeeded and the client LOVED IT! This would not have been possible without the guidance, handwork and dedication from the Safaria team. I would highly recommend Andrew and his team!
- FarAway2795817339200Most inspiring Kruger TourAbsolutely amazing Safari experience. The private setup guarantees the best and most individual trip you can hope for. Rhe guide knows everything about every animal or plant in the park. Its clear that Kruger Park is his passion for life, by sharing it with his guests he creates a truly inspiring tour. The vehicle is very comfortable and spacious.
- bara3d00Amazing birds with an amazing guide! My husband and I spend an amazing day with Andrew birding Kruger National Park. It was our first trip to South Africa, so there were a lot of new things to see. We ended up with more than 100 bird species, with bonus experiences with other mammals and wildlife. One non-bird highlight was seeing a group of 11 Rhino!! Andrew's knowledge of birds and all things Kruger National Park made our experience amazing and we can't wait to get back and go bird with him again!
- Kuroi3100Unforgettable Kruger experience!!Our 6 day Safari in Kruger National Park with Andrew as our guide was absolutely amazing. Andrew‘s knowledge about the animals and the bush in general, as well as the history of the Kruger is enormous. There was no question he could not answer. Especially his knowledge about where the animals should be helped us to a lot more animal sightings than we would have otherwise had. In addition to his knowledge Andrew is super nice and very attentive. It was a great experience with a lot of new information and an unforgettable journey. If you want to make the most of your experience in Kruger National Park we can absolutely recommend Andrew and Safaria. Thank you for the wonderful time! PS: If you want to do a longer Safari than 3 days you only have to ask Andrew. As we wanted to do a 6 day Safari we asked him and he organized everything. Absolutely brilliant!
- lizwK7685LW00Absolutely amazing dayWe had a beautiful, relaxing, and exciting day on our private guided full day trip with Andrew as our guide. He was so knowledgeable about the history, the land, the animals, and even the plants. He could explain every question my husband had about everything. He made the trip most enjoyable. We came upon many animals near the road. The elephants got very close. They were majestic. As a guide, Andrew was getting updates as to where animals had been spotted. He always paid attention to our safety and the animals comfort as he positioned our jeep in the right place to see the animals and get great pictures. We took this tour from Malelane Gate. We plan to return with Andrew as our guide at other gate locations so to see all of this amazing park. Thank you so much Andrew!!!
- Q6785ODjohnh00A Passion FulfilledIt began with a cool ride to the entrance while the owner and our guide provided us with high quality warm blankets for our journey. As the sun we entered Kruger with a dialogue of what we expected and where to look the the thick Savannah. Andrew quickly led the way to our first sighting of elephant and Cape buffalo. The thrill never faded as we proceeded to view all the preserve had to offer. Andrew Wagner is passionate about his craft and has mastered a level of species detail beyond even the most disciplined scholar. I would recommend that anyone seeking the best of a Kruger Park experience make the effort to book with Safaria and request Andrew as your guide.
- dominicpr00Excellent Service and Guide in the ParkAndrew took great care of us - his knowledge is outstanding, he was very informative and made the trip incredibly interesting! The wildlife and birdlife is fantastic and we would highly recommend anyone considering a guided to tour to use him
- Companion6644828675000Just perfectly excellent!Andrew it was beyond terrific! Thank you for the perfect guide indeed. He's goodness is going to spread not only overseas but locally too. Twice at Skukuza we had a chance to speak and observe other guides and companies and let me tell you HE did you proud!!! We would have had a god awful time with the other factory, so called robots. Thanks again for sending us Kyro. What a guy and what a guide. Thank you! --

You know that saying, "spending time in nature is healing energy" - well that couldn't be more true for this experience. Andrew is not only a guide who is packed with the knowledge on the biodiversity at Kruger, but he is PASSIONATE about Kruger, and life and nature and humans! Thank You Andrew for not only making this a fun experience for my 3-year toddler-twins, but for also allowing me the time to process my own thoughts against the stunning backdrop of the Lowveld. Your professionalism and the ease it took us to get in and out of the park did not go unnoticed. To those Kruger novices out there, if you have kids under 5 and you're a little nervous about taking them on a game drive experience, trust me don't be, when you're with Andrew you're in safe hands - so go for it! Your kids will be talking about it for days after.

We recently took a 4-night trip to Berg-en-dal and Satara camps in the Kruger National park. The experience was wonderful. We were 2 families who travelled together and we shared a guest house in each camp. The accommodation was clean, well-serviced and kitted out. The camps are well-maintained and the staff friendly and professional.
We also saw so much: Lions, rhinos, loads of elephants, buffalo, a huge pack of wild dogs with pups, and hyaenas with pups.
A wonderful, local travel experience that is affordable and a great pleasure. Can highly recommend!

We had an incredible private safari booked with Andrew. His knowledge and skill of identifying animals, their habitat, flora and fauna is unbelievable! We were so impressed in his ability, as a guide and, even more so with his personality and friendliness. He was able to relate and engage us in a way that we felt comfortable and relaxed to ask as many questions as we wanted (no matter how silly!). The four of us had some great laughs with him!
We spotted all the animals we wanted to see, it is an absolute skill to be able to drive and scout at the same time!! - in passing, we mentioned our like for owls and with that he especially kept an ear out for their call! Could not believe he actually found one perched on a tree in the distance! It was remarkable!
Booking online was simple, his response was always prompt and he organized all the paperwork work prior to our drive, which meant saving time at the gates. It is evident that his expertise comes from a genuine passion for what he does and the experience he’s had in the field. Absolutely unbeatable and affordable! As a bonus, Andrew also makes a killer Bush cappuccino!
Thank you so much for a memorable trip!! We will be back!

Andrew gave us a game drive that really blew ourselves and our visitors from NZ away. As regular bush people familiar with the park, Andrew added so much interest to the drive, that a route we were otherwise familiar with, came to life in a new and very exciting way. Our foreign guests couldn't have been more impressed. Andrew is the perfect game ranger for a drive through the park. He is full of facts, well organised and very entertaining. We had a ball and will definitely be doing this again. such great value for money.
