We had a wonderful time. Theo could tell us a lot about the animals. Theo is very welcoming and helpful. We are very happy that we experienced this safari!

We spent nearly a week with Theo Potgieter as our guide. We did a day in Kruger from the Phalaborwa gate, a day at conservation centers and the Blyde Dam area (both near Hoedspruit), a day from the Orpen gate ending at Skukuza, and day and a half near Skukuza. Theo is an excellent spotter. His knowledge of the animals and habits is first rate. And if you aren't seeing any mammals, he knows plenty about the birds and the plants that are around. Theo is a careful driver and we were with him in the car a lot. He is a considerate guide and allows for potty breaks and meals. Our trip planning began in August 2019, was delayed by covid in 2020, and finally was taken in Nov 2021. It was a delight to finally meet Theo and take our long-planned trip. Due to repeated airline changes out of our control, our schedule shifted several times. Theo stayed flexible and in the end worked out the best itinerary that would still meet the airline schedule and maximize our viewing. It was an excellent experience and he is highly recommended.

I’d like to commend the level of service Jozef provides. While it was a simple of act of a booking enquiry, he was kind and fast enough to advise, and rectified the issue I had with the booking. On top of that, he managed to connect us with a professional and passionate guide (named Shoes) for our 2-day safari trip. Very pleased and satisfied with the service from Jozef! Nkateko was very fun and informative! He was constantly on the search for any wildlife and anything that could interest us. We had a blast and saw elephants, giraffes, lions, Buffalo and more. Communication between us and the company was extremely easy and accommodating!

Jaco is an amazing guide. His knowledge of the animals as well and the plants and bugs is unrivaled. He truly has a passion for what he does and enjoys showing off his countries animals.

We had a great safari! We saw a lot! Lions, elephants, water buffaloes, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, impalas, kudus, many, many birds etc. and at least as interesting and beautiful animals as the Big 5 ;-) Jako showed us so much and explained. My husband and I spent a month in Namibia with African Big5 Safaris and it was an absolutely wonderful and unique experience. Lourens' very efficient organisational skills meant that we had a great variety of sights to enjoy from game drives in Erindi and Etosha which were absolutely outstanding to seeing the wild rugged beauty of the Skeleton Coast and the Sossusvlei region to seeing the indigenous peoples of Damaraland re-enacting the skills of their forebears. Lourens our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable about the wildlife and he is a passionate wildlife photographer who is able to give budding photographers great hints. His local knowledge is excellent and he was most obliging. All bookings went without a hitch. We had an absolutely wonderful time and have no hesitation in recommending African Big5 Safaris.

Simply put had a terrific time & wonderful experience, which I would do all again with African Big 5. Couldn't have been in better hands & very well looked after. For me they ticked all the boxes. Thank you for a brilliant holiday and photographic experience that will stay with me forever.

Within 24 hours Lourens Lee had shown us all of the Top4 African Animals in Kenya. So special to see such wonderful wildlife and to be hosted by an excelled photographer, so knowledgeable, ready to help you take that awesome image. My 5 year old and I loved Glamping so close to the river where the hippopotamus walk and swim, the flamingos fly in to watch and the eagles fly to catch the fish. The food was awesome. Lake Nukura Lodge was undeniably the best placed lodge ever. We loved having Breakfast, lunch and dinner over looking the watering hole where Buffalo, zebra, wild dogs, baboons, rhinos come to drink. The staff looked after you as if you were a part of the family always happy to help. Lourens Lee provided me with my bucket list dream. He made planning the trip easy by giving advice on what to take, what medications to take with us and took every care making this trip so memorable. Accomodation fantastic, all amenities, I loved the staff, settings and the overall experience. Lourens took care of our every question and request. Nothing was too hard. Hands down recommend Lourens Lee and African Big 5 Safaris. I'm currently saving for my next trip with Lourens. I can't wait!

Spent a week with Lourens in Kenya. Had a terrific time and had great animal sightings. He is a very easy going chap, who is dedicated to showing his clients the best of Africa. He chooses lovely camps to stay in where you can relax and enjoy the food. His new vehicles look amazing and I can't wait to go again to experience them. Will go for Kruger next time - he knows it like the back of his hand. The best part is that his safaris are so affordable, compared with a lot of others.

Hi guys, Overwhelming... Is what can explain our stay in one word.. I made my bookings through lourens , amazing amazing guy, ...we exchanged mails for a month,he clarified all our queries with patience and in detail. He was unavailable for the drives during our stay as he was busy with his exhibition in joburg,,he promised us to tag us with a equally experienced guide, he set us up with Armand. Armand was a young and a enthusiastic guide who was as excited as we were in our drives,which made our drives out of the world experience. We sighted a all the big 5 , it's been a month but I just can't forget our sighting of a leopard and hyena drinking water from the same man made pond. Skukuza was a decent stay .Lourens took care of our transfers at extra cost , he even managed to get my bag all the way from skukuza which I forgot to SUNCITY (am really grateful for tht) I left all my money(1000 USD and 20000 zar).. We are travellers and always sceptical, but Lourens I can guarantee is a "GO TO GUY" Absolutely loved it... Ritesh India
