      Great trip, good value.
This was one of the best rafting trips my wife and I have ever been on. Our guide was Grant and the safety raft was Hanna both were top notch, knowledgable, friendly, and professional. The canyon is incredible and the entire trip was great. We were staying in Peoria and the drive was beautiful. If it wasn't for the rafting we would never had seen that part of Arizona and it is worth seeing. The drive is very scenic with great views of the desert and mountains. The full day trip was great and lunch was very good. Grant knows so much about the canyon and river and is an excellent guide and very skilled in rafting and navigating the rapids. Over all a trip not to miss, made our trip to Arizona that much better. Will do in again next time we are here.

Great for Private Permit Shuttle Service
We hired Salt River Rafting to do a shuttle for us for a private, self-guided permit we obtained through the lottery process. They were organized, professional, and got our vehicle to the designated take-out on-time. Friendly staff, excellent service!

Great Family Fun - Great Guide
We had a great time on our rafting trip. Our family group had two seniors, a 40-something year old, and a 9 year old. Everyone had a fantastic time. Our Guide, Ara, was fantastic and obviously knew the river and how to guide a boat very well. Lunch was great and the whole trip was a blast. Ara made everything fun and pointed out all the interesting things along the way. Highly recommended for people of all ages.

      I’m Hooked
This was my first time whitewater rafting and I loved it so much that I’m probably going to make the trip a yearly tradition for the foreseeable future. All of the guides were so friendly and helpful that any nervousness I had quickly disappeared, and they made sure we had a blast all day. The views throughout the entire excursion were absolutely gorgeous and a must see for all Arizona desert lovers. Even the drive to get to the canyon is amazing. On the day we went the rapids were on the milder side (in my subjective opinion) but that just makes me even more excited to try going when the waters are more intense. Even 3 days later I still can’t stop thinking about how much I loved every minute of the day. My only regret is not booking a trip years ago! The guide for my group was Bible, & at one point I misheard a comment he made which made me think he was mispronouncing the word “Chippewa” so I sort of laughed at him. In actuality he was correctly pronouncing the word “Cibecue” and I was the one that was wrong. Please let him know I apologize if I was being rude, and I’m sorry if I confused him. Sometimes you can’t trust us locals, I guess. He was a fantastic guide - pointing out different plants, talking about some of the history of the area, making some jokes, and just providing pleasant conversation. We really loved his outfit too!

Fun and Memorable White Water Rafting Trip!
The tour company and our guide Sloan were absolutely amazing! We learned a lot and had a great adventure. Shiloh was the guide of the other boat that day, along with the ride back and he too was funny and informative. We really appreciate the whole team and would definitely tour with them again.

      Great experience
This is such a scenic river with great views of the canyon. The rapids were exciting but not too rough for us who don't have any experience. Our guide Shilo was great, he was very skilled and very knowledgeable about the river and surrounding area. He worked hard to make sure me and my family had fun and we did! Great job to everyone on the team. Would definitely recommend this group.

Wilderness trip you will never forget
This was an incredible trip. Exciting rapids, beautiful canyons and landscape, different ecosystems in one trip. Our guides were outstanding. Ellis was knowledgeable in the local vegetation, animals, and history of the area. We even saw 3 bald eagles! I camped like a queen. Full cooked fancy meals like chicken fajitas, steak, french toast, eggs and more. The whole crew, Ellis, Bible, Grant, and Sloan were phenomenal. Their ability to pack everything expertly and raft us and our gear contributed to a superb trip. They took care of every need and then some. I would highly recommend Salt River Rafting! I would recommend the 5 day wilderness trip instead of the 3 day as you have more time to explore and enjoy the area.

A two- thumbs up adventure! You won’t be disappointed.
Salt River Rafting was such an awesome experience! Our guide was excellent as a navigator and also so knowledgeable about the terrain and plants. My husband, brother and I were the only passengers on the raft. The water was fast and furious in some areas, which was an adrenaline rush, and there was plenty of calm periods to relax before the next rapids. The lunch break was delicious, satisfying and gave us energy to finish the trip. So, so, so much fun! I highly recommend this trip. Next time I come to Arizona, I’ll do it again. I’m from Northern California.

      Camera issue
Didnt get the memory pictures because of a “camera issue” and I they seemed upset because we paid for a full ride and there was only two us so they wanted us to help them carry the heavy boats back.

      Must do experience.
This was an amazing river trip. The guide, Marcus, was outstanding. He maneuvered the raft expertly even with 2 small children up front. He gave us lots of details on the sights, wildlife, and habitat. No fear just a ton of fun!! Lunch was delicious. With the wetsuits, you don't feel the cold.

      Super Fun
Went 04/20/23 and had a fabulous experience!! Greg Bible was our Raft Guide, very knowledgeable on history, flora and fauna. Easy instructions and so fun. Told us each rapid name. After a particular exciting rapid he would have us do a paddle high five. 6 of us in the boat, paddling before each rapid. We stopped for lunch at 2nd camp, they made chicken fajitas. Yummy. More exciting rapids the second part. He lined us up on the last rapid (Mescal) and yelled "Lean in". Down and up in the river, quite the ride! At our pull out spot, we hauled the boat out to the trailer and had a nice ride back in an open aired jeep type of vehicle. The wildflowers blooming everywhere, just spectacular. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! They also have a 3-4 day camp outing as well.

      Would do again!!
Guides were great! Pointed out points of interest and did their best to keep everyone safe. Equipment in good shape. Scenery was perfect that time of year. Lunch was an unexpected yummy experience! I was anticipating boring sandwiches. lol Only down point was delay getting started/getting everyone geared up/in the water. It could have gone faster. But there were 2 BIG groups going about same time. So likely the problem. My rec: don't keep on all of the gear until you get down by the river, was too hot. Try it on to make sure it fits, but carry down. Try to car pool, as parking is limited and you should anyways. :-)

This was the most amazing experience we have had in a long time. We weren't sure what to expect, but everything was beyond even our wildest imaginations.
We arrived with a group of six, including 2 teenagers and all of our camping equipment for rafting and one night of camping. We listened to the safety talk, got loaded up with our rafting gear and met our guide Spicy. Spicy took us through many fun rapids and chatted with us on the quieter parts of the river. The water was pretty high due to all the rain this year which made it even more fun. We stopped for lunch at the guide's camp which was a fun peak into the lives of river guides. Lunch was great.

Our next portion of the river was just as much fun as the first and ended too soon for us:-). We loaded back up onto the bus and as we headed back, Spicy let us know that he would be getting off at the camp to prepare to host us for our night of camping. We grabbed our car and headed down unsure of what to expect. Spicy was there and ready with snacks--and was even respectful of some dietary issues in the group. After snacks and setting up camp Spicy hooked us up with a croquet set and started on dinner. Dinner was better than anything I cook in my house!!! Spicy made chicken curry with the chicken on the side for non meat eaters, and it was DELISH! It was amazing. After dinner he started a fire for us to tend while he prepared a lovely desert. But that's not all.... he then brought out a guitar and a drum box for my kids to join him and sang us songs under a blanket of stars while we watched the nearly full moon come up over the canyon. I can see why the guides like it here, its pretty magical. We headed to bed early that night and the next morning Spicy was there with wonderful coffee and breakfast. This whole experience was above and beyond our expectations. The rafting was great, the food was wonderful and Spicy was FANTASTIC. I highly recommend rafting and if you can camp, do it! It's unlike anything we have ever done before. Thank you again!

This is my favorite place on Earth with some of the coolest people I've ever met. That's the reason I gift myself a Rafting trip for my birthday as often as I can. This was mine and my daughter's third trip down the Salt with this company. This trip was by far the best...so far. Thanks to our amazing guide Ara and our safety Squid Syd!
We decided to extend our rafting trip to a raft and camp. Best decision we made in a really long time! Barely $100 more for priceless memories. We started out like any other trip by gearing up, then our guides loaded us up and took us up the river further. *This was new. We actually got an extra 20+ mins of rafting because the water was up. After a short, but thorough safety briefing, we were off. Ara was top notch and made our trip super exciting and tons of fun. The rapport between the two women made for great entertainment. Ara also made sure we hit the big holes and got super soaked! We stopped for the famous chicken fajita lunch at 2nd camp, then breezed through the 2nd stretch. The gnarly bus ride back was even more fun, cause we got to raft a third time across a small wash. We said bye to the non-camping guests and drove to camp. (Suggest vehicle with decent clearance) Once we got to camp, Ara brought out appetizers and helped us feel at home. After getting to know everyone a little we had an amazing steak and grilled veggie dinner followed by strawberry shortcake for dessert 😋. We relaxed around the fire for a bit and then hit the sack. We awoke to the smells of breakfast and was shortly greeted by hot coffee for me and hot chocolate for my daughter. After a huge breakfast of pancakes, eggs, hash browns, and fresh fruit, we packed up camp and reluctantly said our goodbyes. This was by far the most amazing trip of our lives....so far. Thank you so much Ara, Syd, James, Terrick, Amy, Aaron, and everyone else that made our stay so awesome! ***Remember to tip your guides***

The Salt River Canyon is my favorite place on earth as well! Thank you for the 3 peat visit. The Salt River Rafting crew looks forward to visit #4 and your father-daughter raft trip into the Federally protected Salt River Wilderness. We also think your visit to Durango, CO and Mountain Waters Rafting trip to the Upper Animas will hit the top of your list as well. Cheers Anthony!
