I was only 2 days in Luxor and I wanted to make a bike ride. Go Luxor Tours showed up in google and I booked immediately a tour (2 days in advance). Michael was very responsive and listened to my wishes. I wanted to combine some culture with some biking in the greenfields. He made it happen for me. A colleague of Michael that was going to do the bike ride with me, twisted his feet the evening before. But Michael came to replace his colleague and made it a very nice, satisfying bike tour for me. We left early in the morning on the banks of the Nile. As it was on a Friday and in January, the roads were calm. I also got to know Michael better since I booked the trip as a solo traveler. We saw the Valley of the Queens, Habu and the greenfiels of the Westbank. Michael is very knowledgeable, attentive, puts you at ease and pays attention to detail. I really recommend to book a tour with Go Luxor Tours since they are flexible and reliable. A big plus is that Michael's level English is excellent and he is familiar in working with tourists.

This is truly the most wonderful experience we have had on holiday, I cannot recommend Go Luxor Tours and Michael enough! We have had a fabulous experience travelling all the sites of Cairo, Giza, Aswan and Luxor with Michael and the team helping and guiding us every step of the way. From initial contact with tailor making our itinerary to fit around my family's needs was perfection! They made sure we had the most amazing time, happy to help with any queries in our 6 day trip, hotel recommendations, restaurant advice, booking unique experiences like a hot air balloon rides over luxor. Francis in Cairo was brilliant! His attention to detail and natural ability to teach Egyptology to my teenage children was great. We used goluxortours for a wide range of activities and tours in Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and Abu simbel (including airport transfers and tansits). The experience was amazing - very smoothly organised, well informed guides and polite and safe drivers. They were constantly in touch updating everything in a timely manner. The entire trip for our family of 5 wouldn't have been this enjoyable and hassle free if it wasn't for Mike and his team. Big kudos

I have to start by saying Mike is amazing! I’m thankful I found this company for my tour. I started researching and reaching out to multiple company’s and wasn’t liking the communication I was receiving. I came across Go Luxor in the Rick Steves Forums and Mike responded to my WhatsApp message promptly. When he read my email with requested activities I wanted to do, he is the only person that informed me one of the tombs was closed. The other companies actually added it to my quote and price. I also like that this was the only company that confirmed the boat for our Nile cruise portion. The others would only give me a “or similar” answer. Mike was clear with all activities and prices. Before and upon arrival I received messages with instruction and tips for the visit. Each night he would message me details for the next day step by step. We could not have had a better, more relaxed, easy going trip. He took all stress of visiting away. We did 3nights/2 day tour in Cairo (Steigenberger Giza Pyramid view 😍) , a day in Luxor at same brand Hotel , then boarded our 4 night Nile cruise (2 nights docked in Luxor and 2 in Aswan). He had all our guides meet us in the lobby of the hotels and ship and always walked us back to the lobby. The guides he scheduled in Cairo, Edufu & Kom Umbu were amazing and Mike himself was our guide in Luxor, Abu Simbel, and Aswan. I had already pre booked our hotels and flights but Mike took care of everything else from Airport arrival to final Airport drop off and everything in between. This included all drivers, all entry tickets, a few lunches during our all day tours, the booking of the cruise, all guides and extra stops for things I wanted to buy, carpets, essential oils and spices. I really could not have had a better organized trip with the greatest guides. This was booked as a private tour so it was only my husband and me in a private car with guide. This gave us the freedom set start times the night before, to take all the time we wanted to walk through and see the sites. There was no rush to make it to the next stop. It was great . I wanted to try Koshary and our guide in Cairo took us to a local hotspot that is known for having the best, we would also stop at cafes and have coffee or just sit and relax. There was never any pressure to rush.

Bicycle Tour in Luxor : we wanted to visit the temples of Karnak and Luxor by bicycle as we always love to use bikes wherever we travel. Go Luxor Tours was referenced in the Lonely Planet Guide (French version) for bicycle visits. We were staying on the West Bank so Mike picked us up early there and we got the bikes together on the West Bank, then crossed the Nile on the public ferry with the bikes (which was already an experience). We spent the whole morning together with Mike and his company was great : not only for the quality of the historic guiding in the temples but also for the richness of the exchanges with Mike talking about Egypt: history, politics, religion, sociology, demography, covid, litterature ... We could have very open and thorough discussions on all these subjects and for us, discovering a country with our European glasses, it was very fruitful to have an Egyptian point of view. On top of all this, Mike spoke a perfect English, was super professional for the organisation of the trip and always very reactive on Whatsapp.

Our family trip wouldn’t have been the same without Go Luxor Tours. Planning travel with a family member who uses a wheelchair can be challenging, but they made it completely stress-free and even fun! They took care of everything—an amazing Nile river cruise, flights, hotel recommendations—you name it, they nailed it. I especially want to thank Mike, who felt like an old friend from the moment we spoke. He’s so kind, empathetic, and just “gets it.” His attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference for us. This trip was unforgettable, and it’s all thanks to the amazing team. I had a really nice time on a tour with Mike in Luxor this month (December 2024). I was on a compressed timeline and so I had only one full day in Luxor. Still, Mike was able to arrange an excellent itinerary on both the East and West Banks, so I got to see everything I wanted to, including Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut’s Mortuary Temple, the Colossi, and Karnak and Luxor Temples, with lunch. Mike moved at my pace, was very knowledgeable, and able to answer all my questions with ease. The driver he arranged was excellent, drove very safely (even by international standards), and was always there waiting on time. The car was brand new, comfortable and air conditioned. Mike’s got a good knowledge of the crowds and how the other tour companies operate, so I never felt like we were fighting foot traffic in the major sights and I was even able to see a couple of the popular tombs at the Valley of the Kings when they were relatively uncrowded, even though my trip fell squarely in the middle of the busy season. I can definitely recommend Mike and Go Luxor tours! (And, if your schedule allows, consider leaving “early” (7.30) like I did - I think that might’ve helped, and at a minimum you might be able to beat the worst of the heat!)

We’ve just returned from a customised 6 day trip with Go Luxor Tour. This is our first trip to Egypt so wanted to see as many sights as possible in this limited amount of time. Organising this trip from start to finish is a breeze with Michael Samir, who is super efficient with setting up itinerary, pricing and replies to any queries we have. I also like the fact we can choose our own accommodation instead of the usual cookie cutter hotel packages included with the land tours. Go Luxor Tours was also flexible with any changes we may have with the itinerary proposed or start/end times each day depending on our energy levels. They organised all transport (flights and car transfers) to and from each city, and airports, sites and made suggestions on restaurants when asked. The guides were fantastic (Francis in Cairo and Michael at Aswan/Luxor) and very knowledgeable, imparting information at each site and answering other queries we may have on history and Egyptian culture. We travelled with our 10 year old daughter and they made the whole trip enjoyable for all of us and ensure we were comfortable throughout. The advice on tips, shopping and security were appreciated, including an incident where the locals try to charge us extra EGP for using toilets instead of the standard amount 😬 We would happily use Go Luxor Tours again on our next trip to Egypt and have no hesitation recommending them to our friends for future trips.

Had the best of times with Go Luxor Tours! It was a wonderful and thrilling adventure, and I already miss all the fun. Mike was so caring incredibly communicative before and during the trip, and we would beat the crowds so often at each of the sites. Nader had so much information and insight to share everywhere we visited, including more details about remnants of an ancient seabed all around and the fossils embedded in the ground. This was my first visit to Egypt, and even then I feel like they guide you more in depth than usual. I was given the option to descend into the Khufu’s pyramid, but recommended a smaller one of I think queen Meritites. Am so glad for that because the little pyramid was hard enough, and was told the great one’s 10x more! Though I had to bring work on the way, it was absolutely wonderful to be on the Nile. Listening to nature, watching the sunset over the water, and pulling up to one of those plants that closes its leaves when you touch them. At Abu Simbel I also spent time photographing birds, spotted swallows and sparrows, and captured two feathered foes in a conflict. Even if Ramses II’s great battle probably didn’t happen, I witnessed one that day on top ancient walls and writings. Look up if you can at each place! As a solo female visitor the trip was made much easier, with incredible scheduling and great advice. Was very safe going about and it was an all-around enjoyable experience. I am already thinking about the next time right after coming home, they made it such a positive experience and really want to dive deeper and see more!

Wow, our Egypt trip was made so special by Go Luxor Tours! Although we booked at the last minute, from start to finish everything went seamlessly. Upon meeting our guides, we immediately felt confident and taken care for. The pick up and drop off at our hotel was so convenient! Our guides handled everything - purchasing the tickets, navigating checkpoints, instructing us at the sites, etc. They were very trustworthy and we always felt like they were looking out for us. We started our adventure in Cairo by visiting Saqqara, Dashur, and Memphis. We had a tour of the Giza Pyramids the following day. Going inside of the pyramids was a truly epic experience! Francis was our guide and he was excellent. It is so evident that he is passionate about Ancient Egypt and loves to share about it. He is very personable and is incredibly knowledgeable! Next we headed to Luxor where we spent three days touring with Michael. Michael was extremely knowledgable and a great storyteller! We started off with King’s Valley, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and Memnon. Wow, these sites were amazing! It was so cool comparing them to what we had just seen in Cairo. The following days we saw Dashur, Luxor, Dendera, and Abydos Temples all of which were amazing in their own way. We also did a Felucca boat ride on the Nile which was incredible - truly an amazing experience sailing the Nile! One unexpected but amazing thing was both of our guides were really good about organizing us to take photos and setting up poses. They both were super creative with the photography which made it fun :) We are so grateful that we chose Go Luxor and highly recommend them!

Without a doubt, Go Luxor made this trip absolutely perfect. We began researching our trip over a year in advance. We got the recommendation for Go Luxor online and we wanted to similarly pay it forward. The initial process was easy - Michael is very responsive 24/7 basically and works off Whatsapp. We built a comprehensive itinerary for a private guide and driver each day. We paid by bank wire which made us very nervous initially but we researched online this was normal practice, and everything was just fine. We meticulously planned everything with Michael - he was so patient with our questions and really made us feel very comfortable with the entire plan. We had Francis in Cairo and Michael in Awsan and Luxor. We booked ourselves to really do it all - we hit all the major temples, pyramids, and tombs and did a mega tour of Egypt's history. Go Luxor made this so easy. We were picked up from the airport, and our guide was with us from our hotel pickups in the morning until our drop offs at night. We got in depth explanations of hieroglyphics, detailed history on pharoahs and temples and the ancient religions, and time to explore on our own at the sites we picked. We were provided water and snacks daily, we had a few meals buffered in throughout our trip, and we enjoyed getting to know both of our guides and trying local food they enjoyed. Michael invited us to do a few stops at local stores, one which was a perfumery in Aswan which was really interesting and we smelled perfume recipes that were thousands of years old. Through our trip we added a few tours - camel and felucca rides, as well as doing a sound/light show at Karnak. The team handled this with ease and everything went fabulous. They took great photos for us and made sure we had the opportunity to interact with locals, take the photos and videos we wanted, and guided us on the tipping/cultural points we needed to know. Each day was a blast and we had fun getting to know them and can't recommend them enough to others. We hope to make it back to Egypt again, and when we do, we know who to call.

The communication with Go Luxor tours was easy and fun. Mike was very helpful with planning and had a lot of humour while assisting us from afar during our trip. The driver was always on time with a smile on his face, even in the early hours to take us to Abu Simbel temple. I would use Go Luxor Tours again in the future.

I had such a fantastic full day tour of the pyramids and museum! I flew in to Cairo in the morning (from Luxor) and had a day trip before my evening flight back to London. The guide was so knowledgeable and the driver was seamless so all in it was a huge success and o thoroughly enjoyed my time!
