Must do in Vietnam. Incredible cultural experience and breath taking views.
Couldn’t have asked for better hospitality. Lan, our tour guide, was great. She was good fun, and also shared some very interesting facts/stories about the 4 villages, and the different tribes in each one. All the families we met was an experience in itself, really putting life into perspective - very moving. The homestay itself was great - the tribal people couldn’t speak much English as expected, but was a very wholesome evening and great food. Other tourists were also staying too, so it was also a great way to meet people. If you are visiting Vietnam, this homestay tour should be one of the top of your list. I’ve not even mentioned the mind blowing views! That is almost a side piece to this cultural immersive experience. 10/10.

Amazing 2 days Trecking with sang
We had an amazing experience with Sang! She is absolutely the best guide we had in Vietnam so far. We had 2 days Trecking tour in the villages area including food and home stay sleep. Sang shared with us about her life as an hamong which was very interesting to learn and to hear. Her English is really good so it allowed us to have also extra small talks into the night. Highly recommended to join her tour. For us a bonus was that she really took us the small “not the shortcut” roads which was exactly was we looked for, going off road. And - she is amazing photographer!!!

      Around Sapa with Sue
A great trakking with Sue, she was our tour guide and she was amazing. Speaks english and she was exolaining a lot of things and answering to a lot of questions too. I couldn t expect better guide. The trekking is easy and don t need a booth, if do in a dry season, otherwise will be quite muddy. If you decide to do a tour around Sapa ask for her!

My favourite tour I've done while traveling through Vietnam.
We went on our tour with Nhu! We had an amazing time. The views were spectacular, we met many locals in the villages along the way and passed through bamboo forests and waterfalls. Nhu was good to share information and show us how local people lived. The homestay was also lovely and brilliant fun. My favourite tour I've done while traveling through Vietnam.

Delightful excursion through the rice terrace
Trekking is suitable for everyone, with minimal elevation gain. The trail alternates between forest sections and panoramic viewpoints, passing through villages and rice terraces. The only challenge is the muddy terrain, which can be slippery, but there are always guides available to help you avoid falls. My, our guide, is excellent, attentive to everyone's needs, and speaks English well. She can answer all your questions about the local ethnic groups and their way of life. The lunch was excellent, with a vegan option available.

      Amazing tour!
We had an incredible day with Su. From the beginning she was professional, approachable and warm. She tailored the day to our interests and was always willing to take a fun picture or two! We were so impressed with her knowledge of the surrounding area and the teaching she provided on the history, communities, language, farming and every aspect of the every day lives of the communities. She was funny and added personal touches of her own experiences. The trek itself was moderate in difficulty with ups and downs through some muddy areas, the hardest part is before lunch and then it’s an easy walk. Lunch was quite tasty. The views were absolutely STUNNING, takes your breath away! The local ladies were wonderful in assisting us on the rough trail. Cool to see the hemp making of clothes and indigo dying at the end. Overall a fantastic way to spend a day in Sapa, would highly recommend

Mrs Su showed us the Sa Pa experience we hoped for, and more! Part 2/2
Day 2! Again Su absolutely killed it! She met us early the next morning with 3 motorbikes and made sure we knew what we were doing before taking us into the city to get gas, then off we went…our first stop was for a little hike through a park to see Love Waterfall. Then over the next 6 hours, we went deep into the mountains…Again Su’s immense knowledge of the area was incredible…she told us all about the local legends and customs as she led us on a 1 day guided motor bike tour through the mountains north of Sa Pa. Leading us through mountain roads, back alleys and local short cuts, we ended up in the Red Dzao Village were we had a late lunch and herbal bath, then we headed back down the mountain to Sa Pa having had the experience of a lifetime on a motor bike If you are making plans to visit Sa Pa, ignore the rest of the the tour groups and look for Vietnam Nomad Trails, and try to request for Su to be your guide, you wont be dissappointed! Safe Travels!

Mrs Su showed us the Sa Pa experience we hoped for, and more! Part 1/2
On a 10 year anniversary trip to vietnam, we chose Vietnam Nomad Trails and worked with the office to build a custom itinerary…on the first day we met our guide, Mrs. Su whose bubbly nature, sweet personality, and excellent english made our time in Sapa, beyond excellent…as an adventurous couple, we couldnt have asked for a better guide. Su went out of her way to take us off the beaten path, and told us all about the customs of her people and the various groups that lived in the valley. We trekked though jungle, rice terraces, and villages, ending our day doing handicrafts with some locals, all the while gawking at the breath taking views and experiencing village life…little did we know, the 2nd day, would bring even more adventure!

Beautiful and unique experience in Sapa
The views were great! Su was an informative and helpful guide. The homestay was clean and food was delicious. However, it rained throughout the trek and it was very muddy and slippery at the start.

      Unique experience and highly recommended!
Su was our guide for the 2-day homestay trekking tour, highly recommend her tour as she was very friendly and informative :) The homestay was clean, there was hot water and food was delicious yum! Views were amazing 🤩 However, as it rained prior to the tour, do note that the trek down to the homestay was muddy and would be relatively difficult for those who are not fit. There were locals helping us with our trek down. Highly suggest getting proper gear such as hiking shoes and poncho.

      Homestay was interesting
Guide, Su, is very knowledgeable and understanding. Shared with us a lot of fun facts/way of life in the villages during the trek. Homestay was a unique experience. Trekking feels a bit repetitive over time in terms of sights. Tracks were very muddy because of bad weather. But still a nice experience overall!

The bus trip from Hanoi to Sa Pa is a bit of a challenge. It is not well organized and it is unclear where you have to go and which bus you have to go on.

Upon arrival you can have a shower and a good breakfast at the hotel from where the company does its bookings. The staff are very friendly and you get some tea.

After the breakfast we were picked up by Su, our guide. She explains the trip and then you are off. Su made sure we knew we could als anything we'd like to know and she had an answer to all of our questions about the nature surrounding us, the way of living and all other things.

The trekking was quite challenging sometimes but definitely worth it. The homestay hotels were very nice, comfortabele and the food was very good.

We would definitely recommend this trip and would like to thank Su again for the good times

So glad we booked the three day trek, saw so much more and met great people. The home stays were cool to see and I felt comfortable. The food was great, got to try lots of local and traditional dishes. She was our guide and was amazing. Very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable! I would do this again if I could, great way to see the lives of the Sa Pa people and those in the surrounding villages.

We had the best time on this tour! Definitely our highlight of Vietnam. Our guide, Su, answered all of our questions and was super accommodating to all of our needs. We got to know her super well and we drank rice wine together on the last night! The homestays are clean and comfortable, and it was super nice to get to spend time helping the families cook/set the table etc. There were two possible routes for trekking, the easy route, and the difficult route. We opted for the difficult route the whole way and we highly recommend it! We got to see a super authentic, off-the-beaten-path side of Sa Pa and ran into no other tourists. It wasn't super difficult in terms of exhaustion, just a little slick in some parts so agility was vital. The overnight bus was cozy and when we arrived in Sa Pa we were able to shower and leave our stuff at a hotel. We spent two days trekking with amazing views and culture and on the last day we walked about 1km to a nearby waterfall and swam in it. We were a group of 10 college students and Su was super tolerant of our high energy and joined in on our shenanigans. I can't recommend this tour enough.

We just finished a 3d trek in the villages of Muong Hoa Valley. An unforgettable experience with our Guide Sang, who led us along the small paths through rice fields and bamboo groves sharing his knowledge of valley life. We were able to visit his house and understand everything about growing rice and dyeing indigo. The choice of guest houses was also perfect! Thank you very much Blood for these 3 wonderful days!
