Very good - saw a few bears too!
Shane was very friendly and knowledgeable - we learned a lot about life in Ketchikan. We saw some bears in the river and a few cubs - one was really close up a tree. We saw the salmon ladder, which was amazing. There only the two of use (middle aged couple) and another single middle aged man. It was a very good tour for the money and was worth the time. Recommend.

    A lot of whales
We saw a lot of humpbacks and killer whales. We did not see bear, but considering the whole pleasant trip, that’s acceptable.

    Let's Go See Bears!
We had an amazing time on our Ketchikan All in One tour with our guide Shane! Pick up and drop off locations are super convenient, and the length of the experience allows you to enjoy and learn about Ketchikan and still have time to eat and shop in the area. Shane was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions with additional insight. When we booked this experience we wanted to mainly do one thing - and that was see bears. Of course we knew there was no guarantee - but the value of this experience and based on what we read we knew it was going to be worth it. So off we were - and wouldn't you know it, Shane knew exactly where and when to take us and literally immediately when we got off the van a family of bears! A mom and her three cubs walking on the other side of the stream, and eating and enjoying a stroll. We had a incredible view for about 15 minutes with the ability to take video and pictures with a clear view - and the other great thing, because the groups are small not a lot of clutter with people trying to take pictures in front of you. We got everything we came for, but we still got to visit different parts of Ketchikan, and enjoy the town. Book your trip and hopefully you get to ride with Shane!

    Best tour experience in Alaska
Ketchikan was our last port destination in our Alaska cruise trip. I decided not to book the port adventure activities with my cruise company, instead we chose Seesight Tour and it turned out to be a great decision. The attractions and overall duration of the tour were designed nicely. Our guide was very personal and knowledgable about the area. He shared a lot of interesting stories and history about the areas. Shane understands the needs of his customers and accommodated the needs as much as possible. We highly recommend this tour.

    Would not recommend
Giving this excursion poor rating because I would never book this again and wouldn't recommend. I called Seaside tours twice and sent to messages with questions since NCL Bliss docks out of town. No one ever called back or replied to my messages. We were off the ship with 2 small children at 630am in order to make sure to find the meeting spot. Shuttle lines into town are LONG. Our tour guide showed few minutes before 8am and we waited for other passengers until 820 before he decided to leave. Instructions state tour starts at 8am. Tour guide went to the Salmon Ladder and said too many cars were parked there and he would return later- never did and this was one if the main spots we wanted to see. Van is dirty- had 3 pills and dirty tissues on my seat. Would not recommend.

    ALASKAN BEARS OH MY!!
Shane was very knowledgable about the area and got us back to the ship on time! He brought us to the town's salmon ladder, an empty beach that was fully covered by the high tide on our way back to the ship. His timing of getting us to a great vantage point for bear watching gave all of us exactly what we were looking for, a couple families of bears with their cubs, foraging for salmon. Bring your ZOOM camera if you have one, can't get too close to wild BEARS! Saxman Village was also very picturesque with it's totem poles. We took the 8am tour, and highly recommend that time for great photos and a smaller group.

We learned about the history of Ketchikan
Great guide, very informative. Very polite. We would recommend this tour even though we did not see bears because the rest of the tour was interactive.

Too much money charged for watching a bear, an eagle, and a few fish.
$94 is too much for watching a bear, an eagle, and a few fish. We were expecting more in a 2.5-hour tour.

    Spectacular scenery
One of our stops on our Alaska cruise. We'd been here before so we didn't do an excursion but walked through town. It was a beautiful day and the scenery spectacular

    Loved this tour!!
Absolutely loved the tour and Shane our guide. The beauty of the area is amazing and the Ketchikan facts and local stories Shane shared were very informative and entertaining. He was always on the lookout for any wild life that he knew we would want to see. I'd highly recommend Seaside Tours and would gladly book with them again.

    Bucket list Bear sighting!!
Being a local tour company of Alaska, Shane brought us to a couple of lesser toured sites, which allowed us to take great photos and videos. His timing of getting us to a great vantage point for bear watching gave all of us exactly what we were looking for, a couple of mama bears with their cubs, foraging for salmon. Saxman Village was also very picturesque. I took the 8am tour, and highly recommend that time for great photos and a smaller group in his CLEAN VAN. AVOID THOSE BIG BUS TOURS!! Thank you so much, Shane, for delivering us to our bucket list sights

    What a fantastic tour!!
We had the absolute best time and Shane was fun, and extremely knowledgeable sharing a lot of information that only locals would know. We saw a mama bear and her three cubs as well as eagles, a beautiful waterfall, salmon leaping up the ladder and so much more. Definitely take this trip!

One of the best tours I've ever been on!
This was an incredible tour! Shane took us to all the stops mentioned and explained life as an Alaskan, from a local! He made sure to have his eye out for wildlife and made an impromptu stop for a bald eagle when he saw one! We got out at every single stop and he took pictures from all angles for us as if we had our own photographer and tour guide in one! We saw 2 bears and 2 eagles on the tour and then finished with the incredible tour of Saxman village. This was an unforgettable tour!

Shawn (forgive me if I got the name wrong) greeted us at the location that was described to me exactly to the tee. Another couple never made it so we had a private tour and our guide Courtney let us choose how long we wanted to stay at each stop. We even asked to cut it short slightly because of some shopping we wanted to do. Unfortunately the cruise ship shortened our time in a place that could have used several more hours. Even though we didn't see bears, eagles, seals or whales it was a great time getting to know lots about Ketchikan. I would highly recommend this tour. No need to book excursions from the cruise ships that are over priced and packed like sardines in a can.

Shane was very informative. He was very patient as we were running late because our ship docked in a different location. He gave us a lot of interesting info. Would definitely tour thru them again. He was willing to wait for the bears to show their face as long as we were willing to wait . An earlier comment made about not price matching was with trip advisor so we cancelled thru them and booked directly as trip advisor kept playing games in requesting the same thing over and over for proof.
If going on the tour from a cruise ship just make sure it docks where he is located or you need to take the shuttle into town anlut 15 mins. and then walk about 10 mins to the meeting point. We learned the hard way but Shane was great in waiting the extra 5-10 minutes for us and another couple from another ship.

Really nice tour with knowledgeable guides. Meeting place is easy to find and basically right off the ship by the visitor center. You'll be in vans so it will be a small group. Lots of time to spend at the stops. It appears the tour write up is basically a guide, but can be modified based upon what is available. For example we spent a lot of time watching eagles over a Salmon river as the Salmon were running that day. Had to have seen 15-20 eagles - but it was that time of the year. Other times there might not be any so the tour could go someplace else. Regardless it was a good experience and worth the money. Only issue is the tour didn't provide any water. Might want to bring your own.

The driver was very friendly as he drove our group around Ketchikan and the outskirts. He took us to a river with salmon swimming upstream to spawn. And we saw a bear in the distance!
The tour guide mostly left us on our own to explore each location.
He only took us to one totem pole location instead of the two that are advertised. And we were left to just wander the totems and figure things out for ourselves. He did give us a pamphlet that had brief descriptions of each pole. And we found another tour group that had a guide that knew the fun stories behind each totem so we joined with them for two of the stories.

This excursion started out later than expected due to tardiness of the driver. Once we were all in the van the organizer sent us off with what seemed to be an inexperienced guide. He took us around town and pointed out salmon ladder, Creek Street, community school, etc. then we made a stop at Rotary Park which had beautiful scenery. Next stop was a salmon hatchery for a few minutes then to a rather obscure waterfall. From there we went to Saxman Totem Park where we were given a brochure and about 15 minutes to walk around then back to the cruise port. Our guide admitted he was not well versed in history or the art of touring..I commented that this wasn't what the tour description stated and now I don't even see the "Ketchikan 4 in 1" listed. The folks on our cruise recommended tours that enabled them to view a lot of wildlife.

Mike was an excellent guide & very knowledgeable. Our time in Ketchikan was limited & we saw several different things in a short amount of time (2-1/2 hours) which was perfect for us. We stopped at a beach to hunt for sea glass where my husband found a unique quartz rock & Mike found a tiny crab. During another stop we had a bald eagle fly directly over us. We were so fascinated watching that we didn't think about taking a photo. Our cruise ship didn't offer any tour like this & we're so glad we booked with Seaside Tours.

We were picked up at Berth 2--a short walk from where the Norwegian Bliss docked. Mike was a great tour guide; very informative, well researched, and caring. We exited the van multiple times to get a closer look at scenic areas and were given a tour of two parks. We also saw a deer and a bald eagle.

The guide was a local that gave a lot of interesting information about the area. We got a good overall look at the area. The van was difficult to get in and out of at the many stops we made. We had some people in our tour group that had some mobility issues. That really slowed us down.

I booked the tour with Seaside Tours because our daughter is in a wheelchair and
their tour was in a van which made it easy for me to transfer her. We met the
the tour person on Berth 2 and she offered us a upgrade for free. We met our tour
guide Carson who helped me with my daughter and her wheelchair into the van.
Carson has lived in Ketchikan since 1968 so his personal knowledge was so
interesting he had our group of four listening to every detail. Our tour lasted 3
hours which we could have spent a whole day listening to Carson. We all agreed
that this tour was a highlight of our Alaskan Cruise. Thank you again Carson.
