        E bike tour.
We mostly enjoyed the tour. The ride portion is about 5 miles each way along a country road with water flowing along the way. The guided is isn't really a hike its a short walk through some trees and then you stand on the beach for about 10 minutes before heading back. The food at the end was the most disappointing. Although the smoked salmon was delicious there was very little of it to share with our group and another group that finished at the same time. Also were served salmon dip and crackers and small amount of veggies on napkins. One of the employees couldn't wait to put it all away which was annoying. I feel that tour is priced a bit high for what's included

        Very Fun and Enjoyable Experience
It was an incredibly fun time. The weather was perfect, there wasn't any rain. The guides were very nice and knowledgeable about the area, the wildlife, and the history. The route for biking was pretty open and coordinated well so that there was a lot of fun downhill and only a little difficult uphill. The hike was very scenic and there were a few pretty cool landmarks. The food provided at the end was also delicious. Overall it was a really great time.

        Great experience touring Ketchikan
Checka and Chey are wonderful tour-guides. Had a great experience learning about the area and about all the flora and creatures that live there. Had a nice experience with the e-bikes even though having very little previous experience with them. We had a great time!

        Great experience
We had a great experience on the ebike and hike tour. Everything was well organized. Our guides, Reiven and Cheyenne, were knowledgeable and supportive. I hadn't been on a bike for a long time, and had never ridden an ebike, so was a bit nervous but they were patient and encouraging. I'm really glad to have had this adventure.

Fun hike and bike with everything provided
Such a great experience! We went on a gentle bike ride and then a gorgeous hike. The guides were knowledgable, informative, and kind. I particularly liked how to hiking options were provided at different ability levels for those who wanted an easier hike and for those who wanted to push themselves a bit. Additionally clothing was provided if needed, helmets, everything you could need and then they topped it all off with some snacks once finished. A perfect day all in all. Highly recommend.

Loved it, even in the rain!
Loved it! Even in the rain, it was worth the price. Driving our own fast boats was especially fun. We saw stellar sea lions and eagles and it was peaceful just being on the water. The team is very professional and friendly. After a 15-20 min drive from the cruise port to their site, they give you heavy duty rain gear (overalls, jackets, boots and gloves). In May Iʻd still recommend wearing several layers underneath just incase the wind is strong. This tour was one of the highlights of our Alaska vacation and very easy to walk to the meeting at the cruise port. Thank you so much!

Piloted boat amongst many islands and huge inlets. Missed the whales but what a high speed thrill. Ben was an excellent guide and enjoyed his local knowledge and getting to know him. Quality of boat and gear was excellent.

Electric bikes and hike at a fabulous pace
Adventure was perfect! Lots of biking, hiking, and exploring. Directions on how to use bikes was great, and rain gear was supplied to maximize comfort. It advertised a meal was included… we were hungry. It was a minimal snack.

A must do if in ketchikan!!!
I recently went on a fast boat tour and it was absolutely incredible! The speed of the boat added an extra element of excitement to the experience. The tour guides were knowledgeable and pointed out all the important landmarks along the way. The views from the boat were breathtaking and I was able to see so much in a short amount of time. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a thrilling and memorable adventure on the water! 5 stars all the way!

Amazing views! It was raining, which only made the Alaskan adventure a true experience. Humpback whales were feeding along the shores!

We booked this independently from the cruise line because it promised small groups. This trip was great. It was pouring down rain in Juneau but was crystal clear at they bay they took us to. Waterproof gear was included but not needed. We had a great time kayaking around the bay. We saw too many eagles to count and sea otters. I held a starfish and jellyfish. Tour ended with a beer and some small snacks. Highly recommend.

Devon took us out for an amazing kayaking experience! He was so knowledgeable and told us all about the local animals and sea creatures. We were lucky to see so many sea lions!

He provided everything we needed - rain gear, life vests, dry bags for phones, even hot chocolate at the end. It is apparent that they will tailor the experience to what you are looking for. Would highly recommend this company!

I had the best experience at this place! Probably the best kayaking tour I've ever been on!!! They made sure I was safe, explained everything in detail before heading out, then our adventure began. Almost 3 hours out on the water which is rare to find on some of these other kayaking tours. There is so much to explore & to see. Grayson was very well educated on the environment, plant life, & sea life which we got to see a lot of. I learned more things about Alaska on this little tour than I did on any of my other little excursions I had planned for my trip. The staff is very laid back, friendly, considerate & are happy to just sit back & chat with you even after the tour is over. They provided a nice little lunch after the tour was over & some beverages as well (both hot & cold). You get a real relaxing tour that let's you kind of take your time & it doesn't feel rushed at all. I booked solo though & wasn't part of the cruise ship scene so it may be different if you're in a large group or if there is a cruise ship or more in town. For it being my first time up to Alaska I thoroughly enjoyed myself on this part of the trip. They really helped me relax from the constant rushing I was doing from my previous activities which was really nice. I kayak at home regularly so they trusted me enough to handle myself & let me have a single person kayak + spray skirt. Once they saw my skills in the water I was free to drift off from the group for short periods of time, still in view for the guide & as to not worry him. So if you're a kayaker already & your skills are up to par for their comfort level, you may get a bit more freedom like I did. I cannot recommend these guys enough. Thank you Eric, Grayson, Lindsey, Danielle & most of all Devon for making this all happen & for giving me one of the best experiences up in Alaska. Will definitely be booking with you guys again in the future on my next trip up there! Cheers to all of you!

Devon was amazing he took us out and showed us where to find the creatures on the rocks and took some out and let the kids touch. He explained interesting facts about each creature he showed us. It was a beautiful day and the kids enjoyed it a lot. Highly recommend this tour for a family outing! A really great way to really be immersed in nature and you can’t beat the photos you’ll have after!

We had a great half day kayak trip around Clover Pass with Ketchikan Kayak. We were picked up at our hotel and driven to the launch site. There were a total of nine of us so they split us into two groups, making for a small group. We paddled to several nearby islands and at each spot examined the marine and bird life. We were fortunate that it was low tide, so we had the opportunity to view much of the marine life in the tidal zone. Eric, our group leader, was very knowledgeable and pointed our many interesting features and explained how they fit into the ecosystem. Not only was it very enjoyable being out on the water, but I also learned a lot. The area around Clover Pass is beautiful and dotted with numerous small islands for exploring. After the paddle we went back to the shop for a light snack and were driven back to the hotel. Everyone at Ketchikan Kayak was extremely nice and helpful and it was clear that their main concern was that we were safe and we enjoyed our trip. I highly recommend this trip for both the novice and experienced paddler.

I spent a wonderful 2.5 hours with guide David, who is very knowledgeable about kayaking in general, kayaking around Clover Pass specifically, and the wildlife and ocean currents and tides in the area.

It turned out, quirk of fate, that no one else had registered for the tour I took. I hesitated, thinking it might be unsafe or boring to go ‘alone,’ but I couldn’t have felt safer or had a better time. David and I took a 2-person kayak out and paddled all around the area, over 4 miles he said when we were back at the dock. In terms of paddling, he followed my lead and let me set the pace, and together we decided what we wanted to get close to in the boat. We saw gorgeous bald eagles, noisy groups of sea lions, salmon jumping up stream (we paddled over to a stream coming down through the trees), a pod of dolphins, and probably some whale activity under the surface, though we weren’t 100% sure. He has a keen eye and easily called out different kinds of birds and wildlife that I wouldn’t have noticed otherwise.

Eric the van driver was also great, he even added a special stop at Totem Bight State Park on the way back, just because I had mentioned it when he picked me up earlier and we had a little extra time.

The company provides all the equipment you need and makes sure you feel comfortable using it – just bring your camera. Oh, and they serve healthy snacks afterwards.

I don’t think you can go wrong with these folks – they’re terrific. Highlight of my trip to Alaska (right after Glacier Bay 😊) !

My group had a blast on this kayak tour in May 2019! The tour guides gave us a great information about the local ecology and made sure we were all safe during our tour. One of our guides had been doing tours in this area for many years and for our other guide it was her first summer working at Ketchikan Kayak. She added a unique addition to the tour as she grew up in Ketchikan and had been paddling the same waters for many years. Everyone we interacted with was professional, fun, kind, inclusive, informative and just looked like they enjoyed their job and the company they work for. 10 out of 10 would recommend! Next time in Ketchikan I will be back.

Do yourself a favor and get up close and personal with nature on this tour. Our guides were so knowledgable and passionate about the water, the eco system and clearly love what they do. Zach was especially great with my 12 year old son- taking time to introduce him to the life that surrounded us- from the starfish to moon jellies, to sea lions, to eagles… it was truly amazing and something we'll remember forever. Thank you for a great experience!!

Our family had a great time. Our guide, Eric, engaged each of our kids during the excursion. He knew a lot about the different creatures and kept everyone’s interest. The gear is great quality and we all felt very comfortable even in the rain. The staff are friendly and provided nice snacks and were helpful with the gear. They dropped people off at their different hotels and provided a lot of info about the area- from history, to recommendations, to nature.

Amazing, knowledgable guide made our trip! The crew at the Ketchikan Kayak Co. were so professional and the gear was top notch. Taking a kayak tour in October i was nervous we would be cold and wet or have to put uncomfortable gear, they have fantastic, new, waterproof bibs and jackets and even provided dry bags for our cameras and pogies to keep our hands warm. The sea lions, eagles and humpback whales all put on a show and we saw bald eagles in their nest.
Our guide made the whole experience feel safe and informational and was so patient with all of our questions.
The weather in town was so windy and rainy when we arrived, but it was so much better where they took us to kayak. We’re so glad we got in the van and got out of town with them!
      Best tour on our cruise!
