We chose this luxury whale watching tour over a large group tour from the cruise ship. What an excellent choice on our part! From the meeting and pick up at the cruise ship dock everything was superb. Carter met us at our ship exactly on time, driving a luxury Mercedes van and the short drive from the dock to the yacht was filled with fascinating information about Juneau and the area around us. We even had a few extra minutes to stop and take some pictures of the Mendenhall Glacier that could be seen on the ride to the marina. Once we arrived at the yacht it was first class everything. Lisa and Sergio were our naturalist and captain aboard the Apex. So comfortable for all 8 of us, snacks and drinks were waiting on us. As we headed out we saw our first whale within the first 15 minutes and the rest of the day proved just as exicting. We spotted a "mama and baby" along with ours. Our group was beyond excited with the trip and it was well worth every penny to take the Luxury Tour for all the wonderful memories we made. Definitely a highlight of our entire Alaskan visit.

We boarded at 3PM and had a wonderful 4 hours. Shannon our “whale nerd” was very informative and really brought a lot of helpful info. We tracked several whales but were not able to get the dramatic shots we had all hoped. Still an amazing time on an amazing boat.

If you only do one excursion during your Alaska cruise, be sure you make it this one! This really is a once in a lifetime experience. Worth every penny!!

We went on this tour as our cruise shore experience in Juneau on 9/25/22. It was absolutely amazing. Julia and Marley made this trip a once in a lifetime experience. This Alaskan cruise was my husband’s bucket list trip. It was well worth the cost as it was a small tour, we could see the larger tour ships tipping when people were going to one side to take photos. Julia was an amazing captain and took us even out to see loud sea lions on a little island, as well as get us as close as legally possible to see the whales! We even saw “Captain Hook”, Juneau’s resident killer whale, seals, as well as several humpback whales. It made for great photo ops. Marley was an amazing tour guide and naturalist who taught us so much about the whale population, how they feed and migrate, when we would see their tales and so much more! Our tour guide driver from the ship (I’m old and don’t remember her name) was also amazing. She gave us so much interesting information on Juneau, as well as the history (and a great tip on what shop you go to for t-shirts). We also got to see the Endenhall Glacier because we were all on time for the tour. I highly, highly recommend this tour. Super friendly, informative, as well as a great opportunity to make new friends from the cruise in the small group setting. Thank you for an amazing experience!

This was one of our nicest excursions from our cruise. Total of 8 max...we were 7. Cozy boat, good snacks and drinks. Captain and naturalist were amazing. We saw many whales including an orca. Would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic day spent with Ryan and co.
Made the day such a memorable occasion - well worth the money to get away from the big tourist boats.

This tour was amazing. We saw lots of whales and the guide and captain were very knowledgeable. Small group was fun and friendly. The boat was very nice. Totally worth the price.

We recently returned from an Alaskan cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line. On a vacation that EVERYTHING seemed magical, this tour topped them all. It was a rainy day, but the Captain and Naturalist bent over backwards to make sure we were comfortable. The refreshments were delightful. Best of all, we saw so many whales with the most amazing view. The size of the yacht makes it possible for them to be nimble, so they could maneuver into great positions. The Captain noticed our 12 year old son was a bit bored - as preteens can be on family vacations. The Captain singled him out to come teach him about driving the yacht. My son is still talking about it. It was perfection. We are going to add Alaska to our vacation rotation and we will NEVER go back withotu Alaska Luxury Tours. Worth every single penny.

This was the highlight of our cruise! Sergio and Ryan were fun and fantastic hosts. They made our trip so enjoyable. The boat is gorgeous and there is nothing better than sipping Prosecco while you watch for whales! This was our favorite excursion of the entire trip - definitely worth it!
