Great Tour
Sep 2019
We enjoyed our tour and our guide Alexei was funny and informative. The guides really make or break the tour :) Alexei took us through Juneau and to the Mendenhall Glacier pointing and stopping at sites or points of interest along the way. The tour length was just right - giving enough time to wander the glacier and nearby trail. Ending with Tracy's was perfect. We ate every morsel and my mouth still waters just thinking about it.

This was an informative and pleasant tour. Maria, our guide, was especially attentive to the needs of all her passengers. We really enjoyed the stop to see the life-size whale sculpture. The Mendenhall glacier is worth seeing especially since it is predicted that it won't be viewable in 50 years. How sad!
The park rangers were great.

The late lunch at the crab restaurant was more than we expected.

Worst Experience in quite some time
Aug 2019
We waited around for a bit and then we were advised that our tour bus was not coming. We were offered the ability to just take the Glacier tour bus on our own. That was it. No explanation, other options, apology etc. We said we would prefer a refund to see about booking something else. Then the run around started. We called the tour group directly and they did not even know what I was talking about. They then said they would refund our fee. We booked another tour with another group after hearing they would refund our money. I was told I need to call Viator for the refund. I did and they needed to talk to the tour operator. Was on hold for a long time. They then only confirmed a partial refund because I did take the Glacier bus. The problem is that I PAID a second time for this bus. They did not want to credit me the entire tour refund. I had to call the direct tour operator again to get this figured out. Finally they agreed to refund the full amount. But....I had to find the person who told me my tour was cancelled and give them my voucher. I was NOT in the area, so had to get back there to do this. Then Called Viator and found that they would process a refund. Not one time did anyone apologize for this. Took me two hours of calls and running around to get this fixed. I get things happen, but it is how a company treats you when things go wrong that show how much they really care about customers.

Mendenhall Glacier Tour
Jun 2019 • Couples
Recommend this tour. It is low very low impact. Tour bus driver was informative and funny with his bad jokes.

Mendenhall Glacier is beautiful. You don’t get on the glacier but have very good views for good pictures. The visitor center is very informative. They have a piece of glacier ice you can handle. It is like no other ice I’ve every seen.

Back to the port and crab legs at Tracy’s King Crab. Delicious!

Fabulous Guide to Mendenhall Glacier and delicious King Crab meal
We had a terrific half-day tour of Juneau & Mendenhall Glacier with our guide Vince. Vince is extremely knowledgeable about Juneau and Alaska and an enthusiastic supporter of everything local. After the tour we had a delicious King Crab leg, crab cakes and bisque at Tracy's.

Should have realised it was 4th July
Jul 2019 • Friends
This trip was booked in advance. The company should have realised that it was the 4th July and advised accordingly. We were supposed to have a tour of Juneau - if this happened we missed it. The trip to the glacier was as described although extended by 30 minutes to make up for no tour we assume. Finally we were dropped outside of town due to 4th July celebrations and had to walk back to town for our crab meal. If we were not fairly fit this could have been a major problem. The trip was not as advertised and therefore not value for money.

The tour to the glacier and then our lunch feast was amazing!
May 2019 • Couples
We loved visiting the town of Juneau and hearing the local stories and then hiking to the falls at the glacier! When my husband and I returned we had the best lunch of King Crab while eating outside enjoying the view. Would do this again!
