    Well Organized and Lovely Afternoon
After doing a whale watching tour in the morning we were shuttled by bus to the salmon bake. It was well organized and the food was very good. A nice walk up to a waterfall, fairly accessible and not too difficult. Some nice photo opportunities.

    An okay adventure
We enjoyed seeing the rainforest, but we had hoped to see more wildlife. The boat ride was great and the tour guides were informative and kind. Be sure and wear comfortable gripping shoes and be okay with some inclines.

    So disappointed
When we go to the waterfront the agent said there was no room for us on the tour. Even though we had spent $400 reserving 2 tickets. I’ve never had this problem before on trip advisor. Super sad.

    My visit
Fantastic fantastic, feel the Glacier under your feet. Booking independently is good. Not cheap but once only is great. Informative information and the lookout is worth it.

The beauty of Juneau and the knowledge of our guide, Brett, made our trip one to remember. We would definitely recommend this tour to other visitors.

    Skip Liarsville
The Liarsville Gold Camp was part of the White Pass Railrod and Klondike Highway excursion from our cruise ship. The Liarsville part of this excursion was not worth it. The experience was very hokey with 4 20-something year olds putting on a "show" of singing and dancing that seemed like manufactured fun. The gold panning was also very hokey. I recommend the train part of this excursion but would skip the gold camp.

Jason at the oars (and chainsaw) —two fallen trees couldn’t stop us from white water rafting.
Jason made our rafting experience of the Mendenhall Glacier very enjoyable. The incredible views down the river were wonderful but it was his personality and knowledge of the whole area that reallly made it special.

    An amazing experience
Seeing whales in the wild was simply amazing. Our jet boat pilot was funny and helpful. The native expert was knowledgeable. Would recommend.

    Enjoyable Excursion
This little jaunt came off without a hitch and was exactly as described. Gentle float down the Mendenhall river, accompanied by interesting, entertaining commentary from Zach, our guide. Short span of rapids--probably nothing for an experienced rafter, but enough to give newbies a little thrill. Beautiful scenery. One of the high points of my cruise.

    Excellent tour, worth the trip!
Our guide Bella was amazing! So knowledgeable and friendly. She pointed out many local fungi, explained the history of the area and how natural formations were created, and was genuinely enthusiastic about her work. She made the canoe trip and nature walk a highlight of our trip!

Great trip with Mickalee. Highly recommend.
Really enjoyed this trip and Mickalee was a great guide, cheerful and informative. We had a beautiful day and the full trip was very enjoyable. The driver who picked us up was local and happy to answer questions.Mickalee took us on the river and was very excited that we were able to enjoy great conditions. Her sense of delight was infectious and added greatly to our experience. Overall it was a lovely experience and the highlight for us was the waterfall which is on the way to the glacier. Highly recommend this trip.

    Great trip
As our walking trip to glacier was cancelled we went kayaking instead. Our group leader and guide was Allegra and she was great. Saw harbour seals and one sea lion as well as an eagle. Great views of glacier.

Enjoyable time experiencing and learning about Harriet hunt lake, and the rainforest a Ketchikan
kudos🙌🏻 Doran was a great tour guide for our canoe and rainforest hike trip in Ketchikan! He was very mindful of everyone’s safety! He gave us good safety tips, as well as many educational trivia about the rainforest! He also had a great sense of humor.

Our tour guide Don with Alaska Adventure tours was great to go with. We never felt unsafe and he had just the right amount of background stories about the area and life in Alaska. The 16 person plus a guide canoe was plenty stable and they provide boots to keep your feet dry and rain gear if needed. It was about a 30 minute short bus drive from the cruise ship dock to the lake and our driver Jimmy also had plenty of good stories to share along the way to keep things interesting. I rated this three stars although the company was great the basis of the tour was only ok. We rowed at least 2 hours of the tour to spend about 10 minutes by the glacier and 15 by the waterfall. They need to figure out a way to improve that rowing to sight seeing ratio. The salmon spread and crackers came at the end and was about 2 crackers per person which was more insulting than refreshing.

Johan said he gets $10 for a great review, but he was AWFUL! They broke up our group into two groups, and then Johan separated me and my husband. I clearly stated that would not be okay, but he didn't care and said, "someone has to do it." Because he didn't seem to care what my husband and I wanted, and everyone on the canoe paid the same price, I refused to paddle. Everyone else got to sit next to their family except for me and my husband. We only got about one minute at the glacier until heading to Nugget Falls. When I got out of the canoe, I told Johan I would be sitting next to my husband on the way back. Johan refused to deal with this and expected us to be the only ones to be separated. Instead of Johan saying, okay I need one of the couples of two to switch places, Johan mad us have to figure it out. The company packed us in like sardines, and the only people comfortable were a row of 3 kids and the 2 to a bench couples, which we did not get. They also use Native Alaskan canoes, but Johan made no mention of the Native Alaskan and showed zero respect for the canoe we were in. When he did try to explain things, he said that mountain peak on your left which there were several so no one knew where he was talking about. The company should have had at least 3 canoes instead of 2 for the amount of people we had. For a total cost of $600 for two people, save your money, go if a different company, and definitely not go with Johan! He has a lot to learn about being a guide!

This is a cool experience. Our guide John did a good job talking about the glacier and natural aspects of the lake and wildlife. Driver David did a nice job highlighting Juneau spots on the way to the park. The waterproof gear they provide is really important since we had a lot of rain. It would have been good to have a waterproof camera bag for easier access to phone / camera. The boat requires 14 paddlers and the middle seats can be a squeeze. You take 3-4 breaks on the 2-2.5 mile paddle to the waterfalls, so it’s manageable and you stop for 15-20 minutes for pictures at the falls.

Wonderful trip out onto the water!

Our guide Trent was fantastic, kept us on track and showed us all the highlights of the lake/glacier! He even found a way to guide us over to a small chunk of ice and grabbed it into the boat for everyone to feel. Learned a lot and had a ton of fun!

Keep in mind, this excursion does require you to paddle for a good chunk of time, we had a little one (12 yrs old) that got pooped out halfway through. But everyone still had a lot of fun!

We went on this adventure as a part of our Alaskan cruise. Our guide, Don, was top notch throughout the entire experience. He was great from helping everyone get suited up, coordinating who sat where, guiding our canoe, being informative and playing photographer when we got out of the canoe on the beach by the waterfall. At the end of the trip he told us we had canoed 5 miles and everyone felt so accomplished.

Tour was fantastic. We canoed our way to the
Mendenhall glacier and our guide, John, did a fantastic job telling us about the area, the fauna, the glacier itself, the fall and the effects of the flood from Last week, all the while padling with us and, no doubt, compensating for the uneven paddling from kids and teens on board. Great job from John.

The only downside was the small quantity of snacks. We were in the back of the line and almost nothing was left for us to snack on. Not a huge problem but there is room for improvement there.

My wife and I loved this excursion with Liquid Alaska. We’re so happy that we looked beyond what was available from the cruise line. We had a beautiful, sunny day, a boatful of fun people that we’d never met before, and Miller, our amazing tour guide. Miller was kind, informative, and funny, and he got us as close as we could safely get to the face of the glacier. Amazing. We laughed a lot and learned even more. If you’re concerned about booking an “unofficial” excursion, don’t be. These guys are pros of the highest order, they’re prompt and stay on schedule, and are aware of the all-aboard times of all ships in the port. In fact, they schedule departures and returns to work with ship timing. As a result, we had zero concerns about making it back on time. In short: the tour itself was great, our guide Miller made it even better, and fun was had by all. Highly recommended

We loved this event. My energetic 10 year old daughter, and my girlfriend and I were looking forward to zip lining, but it was cancelled- so this was a last minute decision and it did not disappoint! The scenery was amazing and the weather was perfect for our day. My only recommendation would be to wear a pair of thin waterproof gloves. My daughter splashed my hand a few times and after a while it was uncomfortably cold. It does take some work to paddle, but it’s not a race so I’m not worried about being too sore tomorrow.
Don, our guide, was awesome! He answered all our questions and provided a lot of information on the glacier, lake and the falls.

This is a must do when doing a port excursion in Juneau. This is the best way to view the Mendenhall Glacier. Our guide, Don, was great and knowledgeable about the area. And because our group was good at paddling, he let us get close as possible to the glacier as we had good paddling time left. Oh and don’t worry if it’s your first time canoeing or you have limitations with paddling— it’s totally up to you if you want to paddle or not.
