- terhadley00An okay adventureWe enjoyed seeing the rainforest, but we had hoped to see more wildlife. The boat ride was great and the tour guides were informative and kind. Be sure and wear comfortable gripping shoes and be okay with some inclines.
- Vacation53857200So disappointedWhen we go to the waterfront the agent said there was no room for us on the tour. Even though we had spent $400 reserving 2 tickets. I’ve never had this problem before on trip advisor. Super sad.
- 413bakhtawarr00My visitFantastic fantastic, feel the Glacier under your feet. Booking independently is good. Not cheap but once only is great. Informative information and the lookout is worth it.
- A5810ZQjackm00Brett with Two T’sThe beauty of Juneau and the knowledge of our guide, Brett, made our trip one to remember. We would definitely recommend this tour to other visitors.
- Kvoo00Skip LiarsvilleThe Liarsville Gold Camp was part of the White Pass Railrod and Klondike Highway excursion from our cruise ship. The Liarsville part of this excursion was not worth it. The experience was very hokey with 4 20-something year olds putting on a "show" of singing and dancing that seemed like manufactured fun. The gold panning was also very hokey. I recommend the train part of this excursion but would skip the gold camp.
- 118bernies00Jason at the oars (and chainsaw) —two fallen trees couldn’t stop us from white water rafting.Jason made our rafting experience of the Mendenhall Glacier very enjoyable. The incredible views down the river were wonderful but it was his personality and knowledge of the whole area that reallly made it special.
- Purzzel_5400An amazing experienceSeeing whales in the wild was simply amazing. Our jet boat pilot was funny and helpful. The native expert was knowledgeable. Would recommend.
- D9415VHjans00Loved our trip with Jason! The highlight of our Alaskan trip! Jason was friendly and informative. He definitely made the excursion both fun and educational. Plus he made sure we had great pics of the group! Highly recommend.
- Conrad B00Would definitely come backWe had a great time whale watching, capt lee and Libby where great guides and very informative, answered questions we had and made it fun for us
- TravelingmanKC00Enjoyable ExcursionThis little jaunt came off without a hitch and was exactly as described. Gentle float down the Mendenhall river, accompanied by interesting, entertaining commentary from Zach, our guide. Short span of rapids--probably nothing for an experienced rafter, but enough to give newbies a little thrill. Beautiful scenery. One of the high points of my cruise.
- T4503VWjohnh00Cool experience, their rain gear works well. This is a cool experience. Our guide John did a good job talking about the glacier and natural aspects of the lake and wildlife. Driver David did a nice job highlighting Juneau spots on the way to the park. The waterproof gear they provide is really important since we had a lot of rain. It would have been good to have a waterproof camera bag for easier access to phone / camera. The boat requires 14 paddlers and the middle seats can be a squeeze. You take 3-4 breaks on the 2-2.5 mile paddle to the waterfalls, so it’s manageable and you stop for 15-20 minutes for pictures at the falls.
- Road2196682992900Excellent tour, worth the trip! Our guide Bella was amazing! So knowledgeable and friendly. She pointed out many local fungi, explained the history of the area and how natural formations were created, and was genuinely enthusiastic about her work. She made the canoe trip and nature walk a highlight of our trip!
- Coastal5085272053900Great trip with Mickalee. Highly recommend.Really enjoyed this trip and Mickalee was a great guide, cheerful and informative. We had a beautiful day and the full trip was very enjoyable. The driver who picked us up was local and happy to answer questions.Mickalee took us on the river and was very excited that we were able to enjoy great conditions. Her sense of delight was infectious and added greatly to our experience. Overall it was a lovely experience and the highlight for us was the waterfall which is on the way to the glacier. Highly recommend this trip.
- camgor00Great tripAs our walking trip to glacier was cancelled we went kayaking instead. Our group leader and guide was Allegra and she was great. Saw harbour seals and one sea lion as well as an eagle. Great views of glacier.
- Kimmarie4500Enjoyable time experiencing and learning about Harriet hunt lake, and the rainforest a Ketchikankudos🙌🏻 Doran was a great tour guide for our canoe and rainforest hike trip in Ketchikan! He was very mindful of everyone’s safety! He gave us good safety tips, as well as many educational trivia about the rainforest! He also had a great sense of humor.

We booked the gold panning only but were on a bus with several families that also booked a salmon bake. We were picked up in town around 11:45. The guide informed us we would get cheated out of about 20 minutes because he had to get them to the salmon bake. Then another family informed the driver they had to be back onboard their cruise ship at 1pm and he said that was fine. We got to the river and the gold panning was very fun. My girls loved it but almost as soon as it began we were told we had to rush back to the bus. There was about 50 minutes of driving total so we got maybe 15 minutes of gold panning. My girls were so disappointed and we felt ripped off. I ended up booking a last minute dog sledding tour for an outrageous sum.

We had a great time panning for gold in a beautiful environment. The spot you are taken to is on gold creek next to a beautiful bridge surrounded by waterfalls in the mountains. There is also a few abandoned train cars that were historically used to bring miners to work.
Jeff was a great guide. Very entertaining and professional. What I appreciated most was his genuine interest in the activity and the gold mining period in the area. He also was excited to see how our pans were doing, and repeatedly offered help.

We had a great time when we get to the creek we get out and try to hand at panning for gold. Afterwards we plucked out or gold flakes into a small vile. Then return to town. Will definitely do again.

Our guide, Sterling was very pleasant and informative. The history lesson which accompanied the practical exposure to panning for gold was worth every penny. The excursion felt like it was a little rushed. The hour and a half passes quickly. Time flies when you are having fun.

We participated in 5 excursions during our stay in Alaska, and this was by far the most unorganized. We confirmed before the trip, and checked in before our tour departure time. They must have overbooked because while we were waiting where they told us to, they filled all of the spots on the bus without us. They finally found us a seat on another bus, but that tour was different than ours. We spent the majority of the time driving the group to a salmon bake and to the cruise ship. Both times we drove very close to the town where we could have been let out!! We only had about 25 mins to actually pan for gold and there were so many of us that no one got individual attention. Having said that, we did find a few slivers of gold (except for my 18 year old son), and my 15 year old daughter said it was one of her favorite things to do. I would recommend another company and look for a guaranteed longer time panning!
