- Gilbert000 contributionsGood Tour! This tour entails an easy walk and touring around a totem pole workshop with several examples of totem poles. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. We were lucky enough to see a bear swimming almost right under us then amble away.Written September 19, 2024
- allyson b0 contributionsWe took a tour in the Tongass Rainforest and ended up at the totem poles. It was very beautiful and informative.Autumn, our tour guide, was wonderful. She was extremely knowledgeable and kind. She spotted the trees and wildlife so easilyWritten September 18, 2024
- Moom19690 contributionsZip linesHad a amazing experience on the zip lines, Chris and Sean were absolutely fantastic - there was a group of 8 and at least 3 of them were petrified but Chris made them very relaxed and we all enjoyed every minute of the experience. Thanks very much and highly recommendedWritten September 18, 2024
- theresac7400 contributionsGreat excursionGreat walk through the rainforest. Sara was an awesome guide and helped us identify different plants and mushrooms. We even saw a black bear climbing a tree! Excellent adventure and walk. Didn’t have a lot of time to really look at the totems but they were awesome and we were able to speak with an apprentice carver. Loved that part!Written September 10, 2024
- dkoekman0 contributionsBest Day of our 7 day cruise!!!Safe and fun guides (Chris and Rylee) who walked us through the safety aspects and made for a fun, day although several of us were terrified. Lots of laughs, local information and a great time from pick up to drop off. Most of us are over 60 and didn’t feel if for a few hours, Thanks!!!!Written September 7, 2024
- Curious640808408820 contributionsAwesome Kart adventure! My wife and I were expecting a leisure ride through the forest. Well our guide let us really experience the carts. I noticed speeds as high as 35 MPH on my cart. It was extremely wet and muddy. It was a blast!!! Just bring your own rain gear if you don’t want to get muddy!!!Written August 31, 2024
- 790rondam0 contributionsAmazingMatt and Grace were the best guides ever and made my first time zip lining a wonderful experience. We had a great group and were able to see a couple black bear. It rained the whole time but didn’t stop any of us from having a great time.Written August 31, 2024
- liberty_moonbeam20110 contributionsJake and Justin are the bear-y bestWow!! How amazing to see bears in their natural habitat! Jake and Justin were incredibly knowledgeable and they even showed us a banana slug just in case we didn't see bears! Jake and Justin constantly checked for bear sightings in their super secret ear pieces and would shuffle us along to get to the next sight location. Jake had some great dad jokes along the way for us and made sure to keep things light. When a bear got a little too close they made sure we were safe and ushered us to safety. They don't promise bear sightings but we were surprised by 6 different bears making an appearance.Written August 31, 2024
- Stephtg290 contributionsFantastic time had by allAbsolutely fantastic time with Elijah and our ride. I can’t tell you how awesome it was to ride in the rain and through the puddles!! I am new to driving these types of vehicles and my husband did the first part and I did the second leg and it was amazing!!! It was so worth the time and the only part was the views were not great because of the rain but the rain made the ride amazing!!! Do it!Written August 29, 2024
- realmattcutler0 contributionsPotholes, Puddles, and Panoramas!I would absolutely recommend going with Adventure Karts when picking a tour in Ketchikan. They have a very friendly staff that are super knowledgeable about the area. Liz was super easy to find on the dock! She was be-bopping around with the sign, making it super easy to find, as well as hyping us up on the adventure of a lifetime that we were about to go on. Once we got out to Adventure Karts, we had a blast. We did have to watch the safety video twice, which was alright but felt overstated and disingenuous when you watch it more than one time (I feel for the employees that have to watch it multiple times a day, day in and day out). Then we got to go drive the Karts, and it was so fun! I'm glad that we went on a day where it had rained the previous night. There were so many puddles and potholes, and we definitely got super muddy! It was a blast! Laughing and big smiles all around. Our guide Sam knew so much about the area, it was crazy! He had so many fun stories to tell about being in the wilderness! I did get a little hungry on the trail, so make sure to bring snacks if you plan on going on this adventure.Written August 26, 2024
- MaldenMom20140 contributionsTotally worth it!Took this tour through the cruise ship. It was loads of fun for the entire family! If over 18 and a valid license definitely have your kids experience this adventure. Our guides Kayla and Cole were fun and funny! Only thing we wished worked was Bluetooth in the vehicle to play our music, otherwise we would do it again!Written August 25, 2024
- valerie c0 contributionsFirst time zip lining! Was fun and beautiful views had help and was passionate with us! We enjoyed our leaders as they was talkative gave us some facts about our location and we enjoyed that !Written August 23, 2024
- 296bettyannm0 contributionsSuch a beautiful facility and such a poor experience.Such a beautiful facility and such a poor experience. Our guides were college-age students and talked down to the guests like a group of awful 3rd-graders as if assuming we would misbehave. I understand no talking to avoid disturbing the wildlife but discouraging questions? We didn't got VERY little information in 3 hours - including anything about the bear. There was a sawmill, which could have been interesting, but no info there - like its history, when it closed and why....We saw a native totem pole under construction (no artisan) and were given what our opinions should be, but again, very little information on things like the tools used or what the symbols meant. There was a nice over-priced gift shop at the end with fountain sodas for $6.50. Had the experience been less expensive, or if I felt less like I was being processed, I probably would give it a higher review. All this could be fixed by better hiring and training. Maybe it was just our group. I sure would have changed if I could.Written August 22, 2024
- amaze760 contributionsGreat Family ExcursionGreat low key and super interesting excursion from a cruise. Jake was our guide and fantastic! We saw a totem poke park, old lumber mill and blacksmith after the rainforest walk.Written August 22, 2024

Let's just say this was the best zip line crew ever with Casey and Selah. Our 11 group crew had a ball. We laughed so hard........we had blueberry tea....... we hung out with Old Man tree and his boo thang 😂.........did some Ax throwing and all around had the best time ever. The wonderful rainforest gave me life.
Casey and Selah are the people to ask for if you visit this wonderful land of zip lining.

We went zip lining with Kawanti Adventures in Juneau on June 20th and what a blast we had! Claire and John made our adventure so much fun. Both are very personable and had our whole group laughing and cheering each other on. There’s an extra little fun event at the end that was a surprise and everyone enjoyed it. I’m not spoiling the surprise!
I would absolutely recommend this business!

This was the perfect Zipline adventure for our group. Most of us were apprehensive about zip lining but Nic and Casey helped us get over that right away. They were very professional and worked well as a team. They made it so fun we forgot to be afraid. BTW we are all in our 60’s so don’t think you’re too old to Zip.

This is was a fun adventure and I'm glad we did it. Being able to zip through Tongas forest was so cool. However, it is REALLY expensive for how short a day it is. I had a better time going hiking the Gold Creek Flume trail and spending time in the forest that way.

okay, first I want to say Adam and Alexa were a hoot, a lot of fun and we had a great time with them and lucky to have some great guests in our group! Id rate them 5 stars.
But in all fairness, for $169 for 6 ziplines (1 had a bridge to walk across because the line height did not work), and all pretty short, I did not feel the value was there, especially compared to other zipline parks weve been to that charge in the same range. Climbworks on Oahu costs the same and those ziplines were amazing, higher, longer, faster. Maybe the $169 included the ride from the cruise ships? But we did not come in on a cruise, we stayed in Juneau all week and drove ourselves, so maybe a separate price for that would be nice?!?!?!? Just my family and I were not overly 'thrilled' by this park. I believe they should add at least 2 more lines, or make some longer and steeper. this was the first park weve been to that they had to explain about the rescue rope if you got stuck on this one line, because it was not steep enough.
They also have a course in Ketchikan that might be worth looking in to if you are on a cruise.
If you are coming in for the day, I would look more into other excursions, but if you are staying longer in Juneau, and are hankering to go ziplining, well youve read my review ;-) its up to you. We had fun, it was good family time, and we lucked out with the group we were in, very nice people. And all the staff were very friendly, good customer service.

This tour was fun from the beginning to the end. Our drivers and our guides were all witty and informative and made the entire experience memorable and well worth it. And the guides made sure every person had plenty of personal attention. It was an awesome time!

In all fairness, Kelly and Bradley said they could not promise we would see bears but we might. And we did as an added bonus - no extra charge.
Our family likes to do zip lines whenever we are traveling. We have done longer and we have done faster - but we have never done any more scenic. Highly recommend this excursion and company!

Alaska Canopy Adventures provided an wonderful experience! This was my first time ever doing a zipline and I will most certainly go again. This was the only day of my vacation in Alaska that rained but I think that only made the experience that much more enjoyable. Met with the guide in downtown and she took the group down to the boat where there was a short ridet across to Douglas Island. From there we all climbed aboard a big truck that took us up to the station to be outfitted with our lines and safety gear. Once all geared up it was a short hike through the rainforest to the start of the ziplines. The rainy day made it a true rainforest experience and you can go super fast on wet lines. There were two staff members who ensured our safety at all times and were very fun to talk with. For those afraid of heights there is no pressure only encouragement and a lot of fun to be had. All the while if you pay attention you can see remnants of the abandoned mines you are above the entire adventure. At the end you repel down by base camp, remove your gear and the boat is waiting to take you back to downtown Juneau. A few highlights of this zipline, you are allowed to "brake" yourself, that is you control your own speed which not all ziplines allow. They also take a picture at the beginning with the entire group as well as a solo action shot on the final zipline. Both of these are available to purchase after, however I booked my trip online and got a discount by prepaying for the photo. If it is your first zipline I recommend the photo, it goes wonderfully with the medal you get for completing the adventure. I would definitely recommend this to anyone stopping in Juneau! For those stopping on a cruise the entire adventure is a little over three hours and the staff is very punctual.
