    Views great, pilot wasn’t
Views were great but Helicopter pilot wasn’t - we think he brought up his girlfriend as the 4th seat and was busy attending to her instead of paying attention to us paying passengers. Very expensive and they tried to market us the extended tour multiple times.

    Awesome Experience
The office staff and pilot were amazing. My daughter who doesn’t care for flying absolutely loved this trip. Our pilot Brett accommodated our wishes to try and stay out of the more turbulent areas which he accomplished. We were very relaxed on the flight and were able to focus on the awesome topography. Our glacier landing was smooth and we enjoyed spending time on the ice. We were fortunate to see 2 black bears foraging for berries and several mountain goats during the flight. This was an amazing experience and I highly recommend Alpine Air for their helicopter tours.

    Indescribably magnificent tour!
Everything at Alpine Air was truly amazing! From the help with and ease of the booking (thank you, Carrie); to the warm welcome at the hangar; to the excellent, knowledgeable and personable pilot (thank you, Ben); our 90 minute adventure was seamless. And with the landing on the glacier, the incredible beauty and breathtaking views it was a trip worth every dollar… a magical and memorable time!

Great helicopter ride to the Glacier and Dogsledding ride on the Glacier with great information.
Being with all the excited dogs and dogsledding on the Punchbowl Glacier. We had a beautiful day to take an exciting short helicopter ride with views of the Camp. The staff was very good lettings us meet the dogs and informing us about the Iditarod Trail Sled Race and everything about it. Taking us on an exciting ride around the Punchbowl Glacier for a very unique experience!

    Fun and informative tour
A very well organized, well, equipped, and friendly staff. The helicopter ride was like floating on a cloud. The dogs were, of course, cute, friendly, and very sociable, and the handlers were knowledgeable and informative. Make sure you visit the Anh glacier office and have one of the handler’s. Explain how the Iditarod is run. The dog sledding was a hoot.

    Great Family Fun
What a fantastic experience!! We were originally booked to do this in Seward but because of the weather it was cancelled! We were driving to Denali the following day so we called Alpine Air last minute to see if they had room for our family of four and after a few calls back and forth they were able to open up a new fight time that fit into our plans perfectly! They were so sweet in making sure we were able to have enough time to enjoy this experience before we were on to our next activity! Even though we had our own warm and waterproof gear they gave us their own supply of pants and coats so we wouldn’t get our clothes dirty (we had a 5 hour drive to do right after) and we could relax and have fun. The helicopter ride was amazing and the dogsledding was a once in a lifetime experience. Our twins loved it and the staff on top of the glacier took the time to explain their care of the dogs and made sure to take plenty of pictures of our family. Out of everything we did on our trip this was the coolest activity by far!

    DO IT!
This was our second time dog sledding, the first time with Alpine Air! We will defiantly use them again and book some of their different tours too. The experience from start to finish for our group of 20 people including a toddler was beyond AMAZING! The ground staff was welcoming, knowledgeable and helped us get geared up. They supply EVERYTHING, hats, gloves, pants, coats, shoe covers, sunglasses and even had gear for my toddler. Our pilot was funny, and informed us on what we were flying past and what to look for. The glacier based team were welcoming, excited to talk to you about the dogs, new puppies and all their backstories. We were able to play with the pups and meet as many dogs as we wanted. The sled held 2 people plus the musher and it was great!! We wrapped up our time on the glacier playing cornhole while waiting for the helicopter to bring the rest of our group.

    Absolutely Worth Every Penny
This tour was phenomenal! Having been on both Seavy's Ididaride Dog Sled (Cart) tour in Seward and this one, I can say they are both fantastic experiences. At the Seward location there were more puppies to play with and they had a better display/presentation on the Iditarod sled race. But the actual dog sledding on a glacier that was offered here cannot be matched! Everything was fantastic, from the stunning views on the helicopter ride (roughly 6 min) to/from the glacier to the 2 mile ride itself. Both tours are absolutely worth their money and the guides clearly love what they do (so be kind and tip well). It is pricey, but if you can afford to tack on the helicopter sight seeing tour to your dogsledding tour that would be a great way to round out the experience. I did not do this but everyone else in my time slot did, and after the short ride to/from the dog camp on the glacier I wish I'd also booked a heli tour. It's a fun way to see the amazing Alaskan wilderness.

    So much fun! Great dogs!
This was a true highlight of our time in Alaska. The employees were very hospitable and friendly. The dogs were well trained and friendly. Also, the puppies were super fun. Pro Tip: if you're up for a little adventure and have the helicopter to yourself, ask the pilot for a more a little more exciting trip down off the glacier. Our pilot made some pretty fun/sharp turns, following the creek! It was probably about 40 degrees, with no wind. So dress accordingly. Bring sunglasses, a hat, and gloves.

    A Puppy Pile of Fun!!!
What an amazing experience!!! Not only was it a check off my bucket list, but the glacier we traversed was gorgeous! Even more spectacular were the staff at BOTH Alpine Air AND the dog glacier camp!! They knew their stuff and were consummate professionals!! This was a 5 star experience from booking through completion!! Thank you for making a dream of mine come true!!

    A must-do experience!
Expensive experience that is worth every penny! Did both dogsled tour and added a one-hour helicopter tour with glacier landing. The staff at both the facility and at dog camp were extremely pleasant and accommodating. The tour operator was very safety conscious and even provided earmuffs for young children to minimize helicopter noise. Provide all necessary outwear including waterproof jackets, pants and boot covers. Also offered hats, gloves. Able to accommodate all ages and sizes from tiny 2 yr old to adults 3XL and 4XL in our tour group. Gave a full safety briefy and answered all questions prior to boarding. We were escorted to and from helicopter and were assisted with seating, belting and headsets. Gentle take-offs and landings on Punchbowl Glacier, Spencer Glacier, and back at heliport. Flight to Punchbowl Glacier is scenic but short. Dress in layers, as Punchbowl is 20 to 30 degrees lower than Girdwood. Dogsledding was exciting and could accommodate two guests (one sitting and one standing) along with guide...stopping twice to enjoy the scenery and/or change positions. Ride can be bumpy in spots. Dogs appeared to be well taken care of and it was clear the guides and caretakers were genuine in their wellbeing. Interaction with the dogs is welcomed and allowed under supervision of the handlers. A small heated shelter is available to accommodate guest waiting for their return helicopter trip. Guides also presented interesting information of the dogs and dogsledding. Our additional one-hour helicopter tour included wildlife sightings of mountain goats, moose and a bear and had breathtaking scenery. Our pilot provided explanations of our views and surrounding areas. Our particular tour included a landing on Spencer Glacier where we were able to walk on the glacier and it was an excellent photo op. Portable toilets available at the heliport and were clean. Would recommend this tour operator to anyone visiting the Girdwood area!

Dogsledding in Girdwood, trip of a lifetime.
This excursion was fantastic! the staff was tremendous and made everything enjoyable. The short helicopter ride up to the snow ridge /glacier was breathtaking. Riding with the mushers and dogs was exciting. Do not miss this ! the entire staff were friendly and engaging. Five stars rating.

This was my wife and my second favorite part of our Alaska trip, with the first being out in nature in general (which can't be beat). We booked the 90 minute glacier landing. Clouds were a bit low on our day, but they accommodated and gave us a great alternate 60 min tour instead. The R44 heli was in great condition and the pilot was extremely skilled. It was a beautiful tour through the mountains and over the forest. We saw moose and bears, as well as many glaciers. Our pilot was knowledgeable about everything we saw and gave us great information about glaciers and wildlife. It was amazing landing on the glacier and getting to explore a bit. Highly recommended to anybody that visits Alaska.

It was the first my wife and I went in a helicopter and man what an experience! We were a bit nervous at first but the staff took their time to go over safety information before our flight. The pilot Scott was fun and professional and he kept us engaged the whole way pointing out facts about things we saw. He even recommended a few places around the area for my wife and I see on our ride back to Anchorage which further contributed to our Alaska trip overall. After a beautiful ride to glacier, Scott circled overhead to look for the perfect spot to land. Standing on the glacier in complete silence was something indescribable. You could hear the ice around the glacier cracking which reminded us of the power of nature. We can’t wait to come back in the summer when all the snow is melted and glacier is fully exposed.

Everyone and the tour were nice, but they did not follow their own Covid protocol sent by email upon reservation. No one used mask and/or asked to wear a mask inside the helicopter - including the pilot. The helicopter is good for 4 people + the pilot, flying with 6 passengers isn't good cause 2 people seat in the middle and can't see very well and it can be a little tight.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. It is not our policy to have anyone fly in our helicopters unmasked, least of all our pilots. After your flight you shared this feedback with us verbally, and we took action to correct your pilot's mask protocol that very day. I want to reassure you that we addressed this oversight and reinforced our mask policy with our entire team. As you experienced during check-in, throughout the company we take our mask policy very seriously for the safety of our guests and pilots. I would like to add that we normally do not fly our large A-Star helicopter for tour groups for the same reason you mention here, however our usual Robinson aircraft were unavailable that day so we combined parties into the A-Star for the tour, which is a very rare occurrence on our part. Thank you for flying with us, and please contact me directly if you'd be willing to join us again for a discounted flight so you can experience our true standard of excellence. Yours in gratitude, Christina, Alpine Air Alaska marketing@alpineairalaska.com 907-783-2360

So we hiked on a glacier, took a boat to a glacier but landing on a glacier was by far the best experience iof our trip to Alaska. Our pilot (sorry forgot her name) was an ace at spotting wildlife and circled back to see several moose's, bears and a bald eagle. She was an expert pilot and had many stories about the area that really completed the trip.

Nice view, didn't go far. Not a glacier landing, but landing near glacier, so no experience on ice as pics show in advertisement. Not an hour, but 43 minutes from getting in helicopter to return, so less than that flying and landing as we had to wait on another helicopter to do its thing before we took off. It was a greater than 25% time reduction should mean 25% price reduction, it didn't. Foggy, so probably explains why we flew the one small area only with no real views except down; but the 43 minutes instead of 60 for the price was the most disappointing.

Starting with the reservation, to the baby soft landing that capt. tae provided! five star all the way from hospitality to equipment!

I have never been in a helicopter before, this coupled with a second bucket list item of mine to be in Alaska was simply a build up of excitement and enthusiasm to euphoric Proportion!

Saying it was beautiful does not do it any justice, I will use the words of capt. Tar “ no matter what way you turn your head it is postcard worthy“ or something along those lines LOL, but a amazingly accurate statement!

Started out taking pictures and then went to video because I realized pictures are worth 1000 words but if you times that by 360% I just May not miss anything!

I’ve attached some of these photos as well as the videos. Simply talking about it and even the photos and videos does not give you the pounding in your chest and the goosebumps on your neck as your viewing some of the most beautiful terrain on the planet!!

This was nothing but net on my bucket list!!

I will be bringing my three sons and daughter back that is for sure..

Thank you for the amazing experience, capt, and to your team as well!!

Unfortunately I cannot attach the videos, and the rest of the photos to this. I will pass them along to Alpine air Alaska, so they can post them on their site...

What an outstanding crew all around. From the ladies who handle the scheduling and the front desk to our pilot John. We had such a great flight. We were able to see bears, sheep and even a couple of moose. Then to be able to step out on the glacier. Wow!!! My wife had a bit of motion sickness and John went the extra mile to make sure she sat up front by the window on the return trip and attended to her needs. Again an outstanding once in a life time flight with a outstanding crew of people.

They flew us to Spencer Glacier as part of our Chugach Adventures tour. The flight was amazing and the pilot was GREAT! She saw a bear on the mountain side and swung back around so we could see it. She also flew us over the glacier before landing. I highly recommend!
