We woke up to dark clouds building on the horizon and became pretty pessimistic about the reality of doing a 4 hour tour on the water with kids (6 & 8 very prone to cold), so much so I actually cancelled the tour at one point. The downpours subsided and Liza reached out 1 last time to make sure we wanted to cancel, she assured us the water was warm and the the boat had a covered area. We were darn skeptical but withdrew our cancellation and decided to go for it.

As we boarded the Taboo, the rain began again. It was a downpour among the hardest I’ve seen in my life ever. The rain continued on our way out to our first location. The boat was indeed covered and the kid’s remained dry and warm in their swimsuits and raincoats. The rain subdued some as we entered the water at the first location. All parental nerves subsided as we swam with the rays and sharks. It was awesome. The rain came off and on throughout the day, it was fine, didn’t see a shiver once, I was shocked to be honest. Everyone had a great time, guides were wonderful.

We had a party of 4 adults and 2 kids, I would highly recommend the private tour as we had a very personalized experience. Even if it’s raining… GO!! I don’t think you’ll regret it.

This is such a relaxed tour with a super laid-back vibe. Just perfect. Our tour took us to 3 different snorkeling spots where we got to swim with sharks and rays, explore coral reefs and even check out some sunken tiki statues! Throughout the tour we were offered fresh fruits and drinks (how can you beat that?). Highly recommend this tour for people who want to explore Moorea from underwater because you’ll get a great feel for what types of animals live around the island, not to mention some great views of the mountains from the water. Small groups make it great to make some new friends along the way. You can’t miss this one!

Voila Moorea is an incredible experience! Captain Leo was amazing. We did both the day snorkeling tour and the sunset tour and would highly recommend to anyone. The boat is wonderful and with a smaller group you really get to experience all the beauty of the wonderful Island. We hope to be back again!

Excellent, beautiful, relaxing experience both snorkeling at the 3 different stops and the leisurely boat ride in between. Our guide was informative and told us about local legends that helped us appreciate the Moorea landscape we were seeing. She also guided the snorkel in the coral garden and brought us to the only anemone around. It felt like a good length, not too rushed. They were very thoughtful to explain the behavior of the sharks and rays so we knew what to expect swimming with them for the first time. The refreshments (juice, drinks and fruit) were delicious and refreshing to have after all the salty snorkeling. It was an amazing experience, highly recommend!

There are not too many words you can use to describe how awesome this trip was. Booking direct through their website and the phone number provided using WhatsApp was a breeze. great communication, with maps sent. We were staying in Papeete Hilton, so we caught the Aremiti ferry over with our rental car. The early wake up was well worth it. First ferry leaves at 540am, 25 min drive from Moorea terminal to boat. Had 30 min to spare.

The boat had 8 people on it, with 1 captain Emile and a guide Fanny. Both were absolutely awesome and lovely. We went to 3 different spots, which we won't ruin for you. Plenty of other tour boats we saw were not us. They were typical tinny's or commercial boats. But this awesome Cat named Taboo was by far the best in our opinion.

best 4 hours of your life on Moorea. Would do it again in a heart beat and recommend to everyone. About $90 USD per person. Best value for money I've had in nearly my year total travelling to French Polynesia. A must.

What a pleasure to read your words and this great review !! We are very happy we could be helpful regarding the organisation of your trip from Papeete to Moorea and to the boat departure. Stoked that the Catamaran and the tour was the best to your opinion. We will happy to welcome you again next time you come to French Polynesia. Mauruuru Roa Léo, Liza, Emilien and Fanny

As others have noted, Leo got us to snorkeling sites in advance of other groups (which was VERY much appreciated - particularly in the midst of a pandemic. Some of the sites, literally, had people snorkeling on top of one another later in the day)

Very much appreciated the long ladder on Taboo. My wife and I have some challenges with our knees - it was VERY easy to get in/out of Taboo. Appreciated the fruit and drinks onboard.

Liza was awesome - giving us rides from the hotel, recommending and driving us to a nice little restaurant after the tour, providing shopping tips for my wife

Thanks Jeff for your nice review and for mentioning the long ladder we built for the best confort to our passengers ! Taking our guest snorkeling away from the crowd is something very important to us. Liza is always doing her best to help you after the tour by booking the restaurant for you and giving you a ride to places cool places for you to have a great time :-)

Laying down on the front of the catamaran on netting with the wind on your face and the ocean splashing you, as you sail through the water is an experience that is hard to beat. This is what set this charter apart from all the other boats, plus Captain Kevin and snorkeling guide Fanny were awesome. The max capacity of this boat is 8 which is perfect. We had to make our way to the location of where the catamaran was moored ourselves but since we had our own car, this wasn't a problem.

Fanny told us folklore of Moorea such as the formation of the mountains which really added to the experience. The three locations we went to were fun but they were the typical locations that all the other charters go to. However, we did it in the opposite order to minimize the crowd we encountered which we greatly appreciated. Would do this again and again just to sail on the catamaran with Captain Kevin and Fanny.

This was a great tour. Only 7 people on the boat (4 from my family) so it was basically private. We saw lots of other boats that were crowded and loaded with people and we were so grateful to be on a quiet, peaceful boat. My kids loved sitting on the nets up front. The Captain (Leo) was super friendly and the scuba guide (Tea) was helpful and not intrusive. 4 hours was perfect and the cruise on the catamaran was such a bonus since we could lay out and stretch and just enjoy the scenery. Definitely would recommend!

We had the loveliest time on this excursion, I wish I could go back and do it again! The tour guides were so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We went snorkelling and saw so many rays, sharks, fish, coral reefs, and underwater statues. They also served us a cocktail and fresh fruit. Overall it was an amazing experience and a great way to see the beauty of Moorea!!

Captain Leo took the four of us on a 4 hour tour of the Lagoon on his beautiful red catamaran. He is passionate about what it does and takes time to explain everything. First time in a while we go for the high quality/premium 8 people maximum tour and we did not regret it. It makes all the difference vs. maybe seeing the same coral, stingrays and sharks but together with 30 other people, it’s really not the same. We strongly recommend. They also have a sunset tour which we are really tempted to try after such a positive experience!
