- fpkroll0 contributionsNice hike with beautiful view on the volcanoIt is a nice 3 hour hike through lava fields and along a lake with a beautiful view on the volcano (if the sky is clear which was the case, but does not happen very often).Written September 16, 2024

- Tifftifini_350 contributionsRelaxing and cleanMy hubby and I came here late on a Thursday night to sooth our sore muscles. The property is very nice, clean, and easy to navigate. It wasn’t too crowded either, which was really nice.Written July 31, 2024
- Q1297UOalisonc0 contributionsA relaxing and wonderful afternoonThe hot springs were worth every dollar. they were in a natural setting and had pools of every temperature and two waterfalls. There was also a pool to cool down. We had a wonderful lunch there next to the pool that was not too expensive. I would definitely recommend Ecothermales for value for moneyWritten July 28, 2024
- rowededios0 contributionsAmazing Day of our Costa Rica Visit!Baldi Hot springs is well worth a drive from San Jose for day trip. My family thoroughly enjoyed the hot and cold pools, water slides and Pina Coladas while soaking in the hot springs water❤️❤️❤️Written July 10, 2024

- laurenwU843NG0 contributionsHorseback Riding Group TourWe had an amazing time on this tour. The guides were all not only super knowledgeable about the surrounding area, wildlife, etc, but made everyone feel at ease on their horses. It was my husbands first time on a horse and my second or third time and we can't wait to do something like this again together! It was truly so much fun! The snacks at the end were a great addition. This was our favorite activity that we did in Costa Rica!Written June 24, 2024
- 970summerl0 contributionsDO NOT GO HEREI am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at Baldi Hot Springs in La Fortuna. While the hot springs and bartenders were wonderful, the front desk staff’s behavior was shockingly unprofessional, casting a shadow over our visit. From the moment we arrived, it was clear we were being treated differently. I’ve never even realized that reverse racism existed, but our experience here was a harsh introduction. Despite being dressed similarly to other guests, including local women in the same type of cover-up as me, we were singled out and treated with unwarranted hostility. The front desk staff, particularly a woman named Vargas, displayed a distinctly nasty attitude. Her two co-workers were equally unpleasant, making our check-in process uncomfortable and unwelcoming. It was as if our presence was an inconvenience to them. Seeing other guests, who looked like me and were dressed like me, being allowed entry without any issues was a stark contrast to our treatment. They refused to give us a manager's name, saying that no one there cared to help us. Ultimately, we decided to stay (as we pre paid) but informed them that we wouldn’t go to the restaurant since they refused us entry there. We did have some drinks at a bar, and the two bartenders were amazing and very friendly, providing excellent service and hospitality, which was a stark contrast to the front desk experience. Baldi Hot Springs may offer beautiful surroundings and relaxing waters, but no amount of scenery can make up for such an appalling level of service and outright discriminatory behavior at the front desk. I would strongly advise others to avoid this establishment unless they address these serious issues and train their front desk staff on proper customer service and equality.Written June 2, 2024
- cateiajonesp0 contributionsAmazing, Adventurous, and Absolutely Beautiful!I would have never thought to hike a volcano. However, I visited this place for my study abroad trip with Piedmont University. It is an amazing, humbling, and gratifying experience. The view of the volcano is beautiful. The tour gives you three choices for hiking trails. There is an easy and short distance hike, an intermediate hike, and an advanced hike. I took the intermediate one, and it was filled with a few challenges that made me appreciate the adventure. Along the way is a space to stop and grab some beautiful site photos and at the end is a marvelous site filled with beauty, but it also has a restaurant for food and drinks. More than I could have thought to experience. This company really put a lot into making the experience memorable. There are even plant stations at the end of the tour that tell you what the plants can be used for. I loved this adventure!Written May 21, 2024
- AlisonV8150 contributionsNot very Costa Rican but good day outThis isn’t a very “Costa Rican” excursion, as all the animals here are African but a good day out none the less. You’ll find giraffes, zebras, ostriches… and you can hand feed some of them which is such an amazing experience. Some people worry this isn't a safari and is actually a zoo but it's more between the two. There are enclosures but the large animals have a lot of space. Carrot sticks are purchasable for 2 US$. Transport within the park is by tractor carriage, then by foot for the smaller animals in the petting zoo eg sheep, goats etc. Good day but a bit pricey like all CR excursions seem to be. We went with Tui and as part of our trip we also visited a waterfall, not connected to this park.Written May 15, 2024
- SHELLEY L0 contributionsPeaceful and romanticThe staff were so helpful and kind. The food in the restaurant was ok. It more than an hour for our full meal, but it was fine. The different pools to soak for were amazing and it was fun to explore the gardens. I highly recommend the Los Lagos Hot Springs. PS we were not guests at the resort, but I really would have liked to have been. The grounds and facilities are amazing and so fun to explore.Written May 2, 2024
