About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Michelle O0 contributionsPersonal, private and relaxing tour of the Sarapique River and rainforest canopy. We had the most incredible day. Our personal guide was amazing. He is a local biologist, and we learned so much about micro climates, wildlife, and history. Plus , he was attentive , accommodating, and a lot of fun. He personalized our trip and made surprise stops along the way. The tour was outstanding. The river cruise was fascinating. We got to see so many animals, and the gondola ride through the rainforest canopy was relaxing and breathtaking. I highly recommend Greenway tours for the ultimate tour experience. Say goodbye to the big groups and uncomfortable tour buses. Ride in luxury SUV with ice cold AC, water, snacks, and relax in complete comfort. He even had cool towels for us!Written August 31, 2024
- jazminp1760 contributionsFantastic Tour of Coffee Farm and Trying Different Coffee FlavorsThe Britt Coffee Tour was wonderfully organized and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish! Great for all whether an avid coffee lover or not. Pickup time and location were clear. Drivers are friendly and knowledgeable about Costa Rican culture and coffee history. The tour itself is fascinating. The guides are funny and make the tour of the coffee farm immersive. Participants try many different flavors of home grown and brewed coffee. Participants also see how Britt Coffee is packaged. A delicious lunch is included at the end. The gift shop has deals on purchasing coffee and chocolate products. Coffee truly is an agricultural and economic staple to Costa Rica so this coffee tour is a must do activity for tourists in San Jose.Written June 28, 2024

- eclectic1384000 contributionsGood way to start out to get to know Costa Rica facts.Jerry was knowledgeable. It was him and us in a car. A few downfalls. The restaurant only had Spanish menu. Had no idea what I was getting. Jerry tried explaining but was not accurate. No water was given to us as in the what to expect. He took us to a private shop which was us and the shop owners which was uncomfortable to purchase something. We are not shoppers so didn’t appreciate that. Otherwise to see the city was a very private tour and was informational.Written May 26, 2024
- john316coco0 contributionsBest Guide and wonderful adventureJosue Luna was an amazing guide. He stayed with us on the private tour. Easy to hold a conversation with…his English is great. He studied English and then biology. We did not see as many animals as one would hope - but that depends on the day and season so is hit and miss. We saw a red poisonous dart frog, monkeys high in tall trees, various lizards and birds. The private boat ride with a water taxi driver was nice. The driver slowed and pulled over when something of interest was spotted - so we could take photos. The Caribbean traditional lunch was tasty.Written May 3, 2024
- stephenlY1791OU0 contributionsLa Paz Waterfall Gardens Private TourOur private tour with Jorge and Jose was outstanding. My wife and I had an extra day prior to a tour in Costa Rica and arranged a private tour to the La Paz Waterfall Gardens. Our pick-up and travel to the gardens was perfect. We were limited on time so Jorge orchestrated every element of our visit to give us plenty of time to enjoy the wildlife exhibits, hike the waterfalls, and enjoy lunch. The La Paz Waterfall Gardens Nature Park was extraordinary; but the day trip was so much better with Jorge's guidance, information and charming personality. We happily recommend Greenway Nature Day tours and especially Jorge and Jose as guides.Written April 2, 2024

- jktakenaka0 contributionsSo worthwhile! A delicious and informative way to experience chocolate from raw bean to table.Although the drive is long (2 hours from San Jose), the trip and tour were TOTALLY worth it! During the drive out (in a super comfortable bus) our guides from Greenway pointed out sights, information, and wildlife along the way. At Tirimbina, they handed us off to a naturalist from the ecological preserve that walked us out to the chocolate tour. The presentation on the preserve took us on a historical, culinary, and sensory experience from raw beans through processed chocolate. We were able to experience and sample throughout the presentation and it was honestly some of the best chocolate we’ve ever tried. It was delicious and really fun, and the park is gorgeous and teeming with wildlife. After the chocolate tour we stopped for lunch in a location that had a ton of birds and other creatures to see (frogs, coati, etc) I should perhaps mention that the chocolate sampled is on the pure/more bitter end of the chocolate spectrum. My kids (who are now college students) agreed they might not have appreciated the flavors when they were younger and prefered sweeter chocolate.Written November 25, 2023
- reginaldh3040 contributionsCosta Rica VacationMy wife and I went on a 4-day vacation in Costa Rica to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We stayed at the RIU Guanacaste Hotel and we really enjoyed our trip while we were there. The excursion we went on to the Parque Nacional Volcan Tenorio and the visit to the coffee farm was like the icing on the cake for our trip. Learning the process of the coffee and chocolate was amazing. We were especially impressed with our tour guide (Esteban). Esteban is an employee of Amstar Management Company. Esteban shows deep pride and appreciation for his country and we could feel his passion as he was informing us on the culture of Costa Rica.Written November 8, 2023
- S9156XSeh0 contributionsStress-free and wonderful tourWe were extremely satisfied by the tour package! The accommodations were amazing and the transfers between each destination were smooth and on time. The guided wildlife tours were excellent and we saw many wonderful birds. The accommodations were located near or in a forest so we were surrounded by wildlife, it was great! We highly recommend Greenway tours for a stress-free, wonderful Costa Rica experience.Written August 14, 2023

El viaje vale las pena, aunque el calor puede llegar a sofocar. Se ven pájaros, monos, y vegetación impactante.
