        Great chocolate experience
We had a very intimate tour with just 4 participants. Sergio was our guide and he was super friendly and knowledgeable with the cacao plantation and production. Sergio took his time to explain the origins of chocolate and how Costs Rica fits into this production. The chocolate tasting was amazing. We had the chance to taste xocolatl and then mix pineapple and banana with different spices like ginger, cinnamon with chocolate. We also had a arabica coffee (TarrazĂş) tasting and a sugar cane tasting with guaro and mandarin lemon. Excellent tour, highly recommend.

        Exceptional Experience with Sergio!
Our experience with Sergio was exceptional! He’s an incredibly knowledgeable guide with a clear passion for wildlife, making the tour both informative and engaging. He was also very attentive to our needs, taking things at a comfortable pace and ensuring our sisters 3-month-old was well taken care of. Sergio’s dedication truly made the experience unforgettable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Manuel Antonio area—it’s an absolute must-do!

        Cacao and chocolate tasting
Juan was very friendly and informative, he is a very good teacher, and loves what he does. He took us through a step-by-step presentation of how cacao is grown. and harvested. The different tastings of the chocolate. We even had the cacao beans. Then we had a coffee lesson and tasting. I highly recommend Juan and the staff

        Amazing Experience
We had the best time. Sergio was so kind and accommodating to all of us. We had our twelve week old granddaughter with us, Sergio's youngest tourist. We saw the most beautiful tree frogs. We would have never found them if it wasn't for Sergio. He was so informative and enthusiastic. He asked to take a picture with the baby and when my daughter asked him if he wanted to hold her he got so excited;)

Chocolate Tour in Manuel Antonio – A Sweet and Educational Experience!
Our chocolate tour in Manuel Antonio was an absolute delight! From start to finish, our guide, Juan, made the experience both educational and enjoyable. His passion for chocolate and Costa Rican culture shone through in every detail, giving the tour a personal touch that made it truly special. We started by tasting rich, authentic hot chocolate prepared in the style of the Aztecs—a deep, flavorful experience that took us back in time. Then, we indulged in a decadent chocolate sundae, complete with fresh fruit, spices, and the most amazing melted chocolate. Every bite was a perfect blend of flavors and textures! To top it all off, we had the chance to taste some of the best coffee brewed in true Costa Rican style, a smooth and aromatic finish to an already incredible tour. Juan’s knowledge and enthusiasm made this experience unforgettable. If you’re in Manuel Antonio and love chocolate (or just want to learn something new), this tour is a must! Highly recommend!

Fun and educational tour for families
My husband and I visited with our three children under 11yrs old and it was such a wonderful experience for all of us! Our tour guide Sergio was very friendly and knowledgeable and so much fun! So educational and interesting to learn about the origins of cacao and its history. We wandered the farm to see vanilla orchid, cocoa trees, cinnamon trees and various other plants. We enjoyed a delicious, homemade hot chocolate created with freshly ground cacao beans that my daughter helped to grind up. Then we enjoyed a fruit bar of freshly chopped pineapple and bananas along with toppings like various spices, vanilla and orange extract and of course dark chocolate sauce. We learned about the coffee industry in Costa Rica and had a sample of freshly brewed coffee made via pour over method and Sergio ended the tour with a sugarcane demonstration that all of our kids loved. Another highlight is that several blue Morpho butterflies were flying around the grounds and were so beautiful to see. There is a gift shop at the end where you can purchase coffee, cacao nibs, pottery and various other gifts (accepts cash only). They recommended wearing closed toed shoes, however we would have been fine with sandals. Amazing Costa Rican experience!

Juan was very informative and the activity was extremely hand on. We participated in making sugar cane and eating cocoa from scratch.

Great tour with a fantastic guide!
What a fun way to experience the flora and fauna of Costa Rica! During our tour we saw countless animals, including: cane toads, scorpions, red eyed tree frogs, and a three toed sloth. Sergio, our guide, made the experience memorable with his knowledge and passion. Each animal we discovered was accompanied by a story and an overview of its role in the ecosystem. He also took many photos of the animals we encountered. Would strongly recommend!

My family of teenagers went on both the Chocolate Tour and The Jungle Night Tour. It turns out the Chocolate Tour was what held our attention. Our guide, Andres, started with some history about cacao production while the teenagers were asked to open a fruit and serve us a cacao bean. Then we walked through the plantation tasting and learning about different herbs and medicinal plants. My teenage girls were impressed that Andres specifically mentioned plants for menstrual pain. Then we made our way to the cacao preparation and chocolate tasting tent. Andres went into full gourmet chef/ breaking bad jungle style chocolate tasting creations. We tried melted chocolate, sugar cane juice, mixed drinks, coffee etc. All the while letting the guests participate in using mortar and pestle to separate the cacao beans from the shells, grinding the sugar cane and measuring out the proportions of his creations. Everyone on the tour including Andres wore a mask and were spread out so Covid safety was not an issue. I think it was the best tour I have ever been on.

Combo Tour with this company was amazing, the jungle night tour and the chocolate. The guides were professional and spoke many languages.

We learned a lot and detailed information about the chocolate making process from the historical and modern point of view. We ate soooo much of it too, had specialty coffee and a cocktail made with fresh sugarcane juice, ginger, lemon juice and one more ingredient you need to find out yourself. :)

The night tour later on, helped us understand the difference between day time fauna and night time fauna. 2 completely different moments and 2 completely different set of animals. This is a must to activity with this company.

We highly recommend calling them directly or booking via WhatsApp. They are super easy to contact.

      Keep up!!

We had such an amazing time doing both the chocolate tour and the night tour in Manuel Antonio. As much as we enjoy eating chocolate, we hadn’t really ever thought about all of the steps that go into making it. We also learned a little about how coffee is grown, processed, and distributed. The chocolate tour was informative, fun, and delicious! We even got to meet the owner’s two oxen, Fast & Furious. Later in the evening we did the jungle night tour, which exceeded our expectations. The evening we went we were able to see quite a few animals and insects, including four poisonous snakes, frogs, lizards, scorpions, and spiders. Despite walking through the jungle in the dark, we always felt safe. Our primary tour guide, Brian, was simply wonderful. He was incredibly knowledgeable of the foliage/plants, animals/insects, and processes to make the chocolate and coffee, and he speaks Spanish, English, and German very well. He was not only friendly and welcoming, but he also helped us navigate other tour options across the city and country. These two tours were family friendly and one of our favorite days in CR.

We did both the Chocolate and Jungle Night Tour. The company made us feel like family the whole time. The night tour was incredibly fun and informative. We felt really safe even though we were nervous about the poisonous snakes and frogs. The chocolate tour was also a lot of fun! We learned a lot about the history of Costa Rica and cacao. The drinks were delicious! Brian, the owner, helped us buy some vanilla from a local farm and went out of his way to drop it off at our hotel the next day. We loved this company and we will definitely be back! Thanks again so much toBrian and your team!

This is the second time now my family and I have done this tour with Brian. We came down here two years ago
and went out with him on the Night Time tour. This trip we made sure that this was the first tour we did when coming back again with another family. We couldn’t stop thinking about if. Once again we were not let down. Brian, his employees and his facility are top notch.
They are very professional and make you feel very safe out on the tour.
This trip we were able to go on the Chocolate Tour also and again we were not let down. Loved how they explain everything about chocolate and coffee making. The facility is also beautiful.
Both tours should not be missed when coming to Costa Rica.

Juan is a god sent soul. His connection to people, the earth, and to Costa Rica made this tour an experience. This is a must if you go to Quepos. All of your senses participate in this tour, you’ll taste AMAZING xocoatl aka Chocolate, you get to feel different textures of plants you don’t see in your garden, you’ll hear detailed stories of the country and plants, and you will also see the whole process of how chocolate has come to be. The staff and grounds are amazing, you won’t regret it
