By far the best experience I’ve ever had on a trip. Roberto, Andres, Elliot, Dean, Matt, and Coco made sure we were well taken care of from the moment they picked us up; to the end of our trip. The whole Paddle 9 team had such great and positive energy, and I highly recommend anyone who comes to Costa Rica to book your tour with them. They provided water, and an amazing traditional Costa Rican dish, kept your personal belongings safe, told us the history of Costa Rica, and fun facts about the wildlife/nature, and also made sure we were comfortable while we were hiking and swimming. I also want to mention Matt, who is their personal photographer who captured incredible photos of everyone. The entire experience was worth every penny.

We had an amazing time on trip to Nauyaca, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and crazy fun adventure. The guides gave us a bit of local history on the way. Once at the rainforest - Roy would point out various flowers, herbs, and trees. The walk to the falls was spectacular, and once at the falls - Andres and Ruben expertly lead myself, husband, and 6 year old to a spot where we could swim and jump from the falls. We spent a few minutes navigating behind the falls too which was a wild experience. They provided a snack of fresh fruit and gave us plenty of time to fuel up and cool off after the hike to the falls. Lunch at the end of the hike was delicious and fresh, and we watched tucans chat with each other and fly between the trees while we ate. (I have a food allergy - and they accommodated it without trouble.)
My son def thinks these guys are super heroes and enjoyed every second of this trip thanks to them. Dad and Mom equally enjoyed the company, scenery, and (safe) adventure.
Our drive, Saul, was also great. Played solid tunes and we always felt comfortable despite the … interesting driving conditions in CR. :)

We went in a group of 7 with Mako, Reagan, and Oscar and had lots of fun. Mako gave us a brief history of Costa Rica and Quepos on the way there, which was very informative. He even cut fruit for us at the Upper Falls. They provide life vests if you can't swim and help you climb up the ledges to jump in. On the way back, we got a flat tire, but they told us to stay in the car and basically changed it with 7 people sitting inside. Awesome, friendly people. Definitely recommend.

My wife and I recently spent our honeymoon in Costa Rica and did the Nauyaca Waterfall Tour with Paddle 9.
Our driver was a gentleman named Coco (this is his nickname) and our tour guide was a gentleman named Roberto.
There is so much I can say about this wonderful experience, but I'll just say I highly recommend this tour. Coco and Roberto were both extremely professional but fun and informative.
The beauty of Nauyaca Falls will absolutely blow your mind. It is a lot of hiking up and down so I recommend good hiking boots. I also recommend bringing a separate pair of water shoes because there are a lot of rocks (some pretty sharp) in the water. Without them you will stub your toe a few times. We also took waterproof fanny packs and cellphone lanyards, which were clutch because.....you are going to a waterfall. Take advantage of the clay (red, pink and purple) that you will find at the waterfall's edge.
Paddle 9 even threw in a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch after the tour back at the park HQ.
Thanks to Paddle 9, specifically Coco and Roberto, for making our honeymoon an absolute perfect memory. We will be back!!!
P.S. - We planned on saying our personal vows ahead of our wedding in Denver but that didn't work out so we settled for saying them at the base of Nauyaca. It was perfect.

This was the highlight of my 3-week stay in CR. Mu teenage sons and I loved the hiking, swimming and cliff jumping. The guides, Roberto and Elliot, were amazing! Fun, knowledgeable, friendly. They took great care of our family. We learned more about CR on that tour than in all the guide books.
I would highly recommend Paddle 9 and especially Roberto, Elliot and Ibrahim (the driver) to any family with teens looking for adventure.

Excellent service, 5-star attention, I recommend doing the tour with the tourist guide Andres and the driver Jorge, they are excellent people, very helpful and caring, they master the entire tour perfectly, they have many years of experience guiding tourists. They helped us at all times with our baby, it shows the high experience they have. Believe me guys they made our trip even more enjoyable, I'll plan my next excursion with them Andres has amazing energy and knowledge, he seems tireless. I appreciate what they did for me and my family. Thanks

This tour was wonderful from start to finish. Corry was a super informative and great guide for the tour, he even put on a show for us doing multiple back flips off the waterfalls. He helped us climb the rocks on the slipery areas and was very attentive to us as we moved around. He also took some of the best photos of us and videos out of any tourguide we used throughout the trip. This is definitely a great activity to try!

Wondeful trip with great guides that we highly recommend. Even if the rain made the bigger ”pool” at the waterfall to dangerous to be in it was worth every dollar. They started the tour with a short pit stop at a smaller waterfall and after that we went to the nauyaca waterfall. During the walk from the car to the waterfall the guides found animals and gave us good information about the nature. And everything endes with good food!
We had a great time and felt safe all the time. We had some problems with our payment and the staff was Very nice, flexible and focused on solutions. Big thanks to Alejando, Correy and Efraim.

We had a great day with 2 terrific guides (Corey and Andres) and a driver. Friendly, fun, knowledgeable guides took the 3 of us on a private tour of Nauyaca Falls. They shared lots of historical, cultural, agricultural and sustainability information. They knew their way around the falls grounds extremely well and even treated us to a high dive show off the waterfall cliffs.
The ride to the falls was about 1 hour 25 minutes, the last few miles of which was on an extremely bumpy gravel and dirt road to a transfer station where we were treated to some fruit juices. We were then taken on a truck to the park’s entrance. A few walking elevation changes and we were at the falls. Swimming in the pool was refreshing and fun. We were then treated to a pineapple snack before heading back to the transfer station for a healthy lunch of rice chicken and beans with a salad. Overall, a great day with terrific guides.

This is a terrific tour that is worth every penny. We recently did it with the tour guides Andres, Roberto, and Elliot. They were fun, helpful, and even educational; the complete package! Nauyaca waterfall is stunning and provides an incredible pool for swimming (bigger than you can imagine) and ledges for jumping from (with the tour guides lending an assist for the highest ledges). The long list of tour perks includes an excellent photographer taking pictures for sale, a stop at a smaller waterfall for some jumping and swimming en route to Nauyaca in a town called Portalon, a tasty and filling meal after visiting Nauyaca, fruits and water at the falls, and transportation. Let me emphasis the transportation haha. I wouldn’t want to be the one behind the wheel to get to Nauyaca…but Paddle 9 has a driver who has the requisite skills and a very comfortable passenger shuttle van. Don’t hesitate to book this if you want some waterfall vistas and fun swimming and jumping into the water.
