Unmissable Guide Tour in Costa Rica
Ricardo is so knowledgable and kind to us. We could not find anything without his help! My friends and I all had a great time here with our guide. This experience is very unforgettable.

      Manuel Antonio Park
The park was absolutely beautiful! Our tour guide Edgar was so nice and was very good at finding animals. The private tour let us spend more time looking for specific animals we wanted to see. An absolutely beautiful park.

Book it through Mauro and you will not regret it!
We booked our trip with Mauro and he was phenomenal! My elderly parents accompanied us and he was incredibly patient with then. We saw an ant eater, a snake, 3 sloths, capuchins, howler monkeys, halloween crabs and a ton of other wildlife thanks to Mauro. He also educated us on the flora and fauna and the history of the country. Overall, a very enjoyable trip! Highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys nature and wildlife.

This was a great guided tour. We saw so much that we would have missed without a guide. Jason was so knowledgeable, enthusiastic and engaging. We were so glad we took a tour

Manuel Antonio National Park guided tour
This tour company gave us an experience beyond our expectations today. From the time we booked this tour until we ended our adventure. Jason and Andrew kept us informed and guided us throughout with directions, where to park, ticket purchase and photo and video directions as well. We saw so many exciting wildlife and plants, and were educated while doing so in English and Spanish. We highly recommend this tour group for your next visit to Costa Rica.

      Guided Tour
We went wanting to see sloths, monkeys, and other animals. Dave, our guide, didn’t disappoint. Without him we wouldn’t have seen much of anything. His expertise showed by pointing out things we probably wouldn’t have seen without him. If you go, ask for Dave!

      Great experience
Andrew was a terrific guide. Very knowledgable and fun. We saw a huge variety of flora and fauna and got good photos from Andrew’s scope. He was great with the kids as well as the adults.

      The best guide!
Jason was a terrific guide. He has an eye for spotting wildlife that we could never find on our own. Another person in our tour said, "I think we got the best guide" and I agreed she was likely right. Jason would spot things and then tell the others. He also takes beautiful photos and videos through his scope and shares them at the end so that you dont have to deal with pucture taking. Plus, he enjoys joking and making people laugh. The meetup point is right outside the park entrance and he gives very thorough instructions on how to find the tour. A great experience.

      Great tour!
Booking a tour guide is definitely the way to go. We had Andrew and he was great with lots of educational info about the animals and insects we saw. We were able to see a lot more through the telescope he brings which was a must have!!

      Get this tour!
We really enjoyed our tour. Our guide, Fabio, was very knowledgeable, kind and obviously passioned about the natural wonders of Costa Rica. The pace was relaxed and we never felt rushed. We were fortunate to be in a small group of only 2 couples, and to also have great weather for mid June. We had the 7.30 AM on a Sunday, and it was still crowded at times, especially since many groups we encountered were very large. We saw several sloths, howler and white face monkeys, frogs, lizards, hummingbirds and more. We probably wouldn’t have spotted most of these creatures without Fabio’s help. At the end, he shared with us all of the awesome pics he took during the tour. We strongly recommend Fabio and this guided tour.

      I’d 100% Use Them Again
We had a great time and got to see a lot of things we would have missed if we didn’t have a guide. I love that if you have an iPhone the guide will Airdop all the photos to you that were taken through his scope. I’ve always gotten so obsessed with taking pictures that I rarely just get to enjoy the tour.

      Worth the price!
Jason was a capable guide. He pointed out all 4 species of monkeys, sloths, a brown tree snake eating a lizard, and a coati. But he promised to send me a Google link to his photos from our trip, and he never did! Bummer.

      Disappointed
Disappointing- due to incomplete information given, we were unable to go on the tour, no refund. Please purchase tickets to the park ahead of the guided tour.

BEWARE: Buy tickets to the park AHEAD of booking a private tour - or you will lose $.
Beware - I booked a private tour and paid for it the day before it was schedule. They notified AFTER I was able to book that ticket to tne park were needed (which wasn't the problem - as tickets are only 18.50 USD) however, the park is sold out for weeks! No information was shared that you should secure your admission first! The only solution offered was to purchase admission on the secondary market for over $40 per preson. Who is buying up all the tickets to a National Park and reselling them??? They did not offer to reimburse me for my tour - which we couldn't take since the park is sold out for weeks!

Best Manuel Antonio National Park Experience
During our visit to Manuel Antonio, Lurdes, our knowledgeable guide, crafted an exceptional experience, revealing animals we wouldn't have spotted without her and offering insights that ensured seamless exploration. The journey was both educational and enjoyable, fostering a deeper appreciation for the beauty of Manuel Antonio. We encountered the Common Basilisk, Common Tan Making Bat, Iguana, Common Pauraque, Squirrel Monkey, White-Faced Monkey, Howling Monkey, and Sloth – an incredible array! The tour concluded on the beach, the most beautiful I've seen, with crystal-clear water and fine sand creating a breathtaking sight. Keep your bags closed, as monkeys may try to snag something. While there are a few more hiking trails we didn't have time to explore, we plan to return for that experience. Additionally, we received detailed instructions on what to bring, how to get to the place, where to park the car, etc. Note that you must purchase a separate ticket for the park itself, and the entrance time doesn't have to align with the tour start. Wakoo Tours has a special agreement with the park. I recommend contacting them with any questions before purchasing park entry tickets. Don't forget to bring a reusable water bottle; there are water stations inside the park allowing you to refill during the tour. It's advisable to eat beforehand since bringing food isn't allowed, and food options inside the park are limited. Of course, bring a swimsuit and sunscreen—you don't want to miss the opportunity to enjoy the beach inside the park. Highly recommend this guided tour for a fulfilling and enriching adventure!

This was one the highlight tours for me. I wouldn’t hesitate to go with Jason again to Esquipulas (and other areas) the next time I visit Costa Rica. Among other places we stopped at a (quite) hidden restaurant with a big garden. You’ll need ‘more eyes’ over there as there were so many birds at the same time (for example toucans, many different kinds of hummingbirds etc). It was quite easy to make pictures of these birds up close.
It was well worth the money and a day well spent!

While staying for a few days i Manuel Antonio I took a privat guided birdwatching tour to Esquipulas with Jason Solano. He is a very good birdguide and a nice, relaxed and funny person.

Esquipulas is a small countryside town located ca 16 km from Manuel Antonio. This rural area is considered to be the best spot for birding in the area of Manuel Antonio and Quepos.

During our tour we had 78 species including white-crested coquette, white hawk and king vulture. We also had a nice breakfast with a beautiful view.

If you are a birder and stay in Manuel Antonio or Quepos I advise you to go birding with Jason to Esquipulas. You won’t regret it.

Jason of Wáköö tours is the bomb! Both my son and I love bird watching, and were excited to come to Costa Rica to add to our life lists. Before we did Jason’s VIP birding tour we had added maybe sixty Costa Rican birds to our list over nine days, and we were happy with that. Jason’s expertise blew that out of the water! 80+ birds in in six hours. We would have been happy with 20 new species. The highlight of the expedition was the Black Hawk-Eagle and five other different birds of prey. Jason is a serious birder and loves birds just as much as we do. If you want to find those hard to see beautiful Costa Rican birds. Jason is your man. We also did Wáköö tours Rainmaker night tour, and had a blast seeing frogs, snakes, and other creatures of the nighttime rain forest. Jason was super knowledgeable of everything we found and answered any questions we had. I would highly recommend Jason and Wáköö Tours

Hola Adam It was all my pleasure to help you during your journey here in Costa Rica to get to see and recognize a good amount of birds. Birding in Costa Rica is amazing because you can get to see a lot in a short amount of time. Hopefully, we will meet again for another birding journey. Thank you for booking with me. Jason

If you’re interested in birds I’d highly recommend a trip to Esquipulas with Jason! We saw so many species during our half day tour, such as nesting macaws, motmots, manikins, trogons, toucans, aracaris and many more! The location is beautiful and rural and there is plenty of time to observe and capture your shot! When I return to Costa Rica this will be the first tour I book!

    Highly recommended!
