Our guide Carlos (nicknamed Charlie Sheen) was waiting for us as we got to the end of the pier at 8am, there were 4 in our group and 4 from another group, so lots of room in the air conditioned bus. Bus had wifi! Charlie and the Driver Jugo were very good and spotted many things for us. Charlie had a spotting scope to help locate birds etc and then he would take pictures of them for us with our phone cameras. Itinerary info: We left the pier about 8:05am. 1) 8:20am Monkey stop, 8:50lv, Capuchin monkeys taking supplied bananas from us (there was about 15 of them), very cool 2) 925am fruit/smoothie/snack/souvenir stop with Bano break (look for crocodiles downstream side of bridge), 950am lv fruit stand 3) 10am small town of Santa Lucia arrive at Pura Vida Gardens Eco Lodge beside river for Banos, bird watching/vegetation/critter tour. 1055hrs lv 4) 11am Tarcorlas Village for River croc/bird tour - 11:10 on boat, 11:20lv dock for river tour - 12:30 return to dock, 12:35 lv. Saw crocs, birds etc 5) 12:40 stop to see wild Mckaws, saw ~8 in the trees, got good photos with spotting scope, 1pm lv 6) 1:10pm good lunch Vista Mar restaurant included lemon aid 2:10pm lv 7) 2:15pm arrive at Look Out view, 2:25pm lv 8) 2:35pm, stop at souvenir market/place (free coffee and fruit sample), 3:00pm lv (large expensive retail like store). 3:40pm arrive back at Dock, no time for City tour. Was a good tour and less expensive than those offered by the ship.

I joined 11 other folks on this tour of Manuel Antonio Park. This is one of the tours that originates in Jaco, so I was able to get picked up in Esterillos Oueste. We stopped at a little bakery in Parrita where I got a delicious spicy and savory arreglada and some coffee. The guide let us know our lunch choices and put in the order ahead of time so the meal was ready when we arrived at the restaurant in Quepos after the park tour. The walk in the park followed the main path to the beach. We walked slowly and our guide expertly picked out multiple flora and fauna. He took photos through the scope and shared them with us after. We saw all the usuals. At the beach we had an hour to swim or walk around. **Notes about the park: Lunch wasn’t until 2 (no food allowed in the park ), so plan accordingly. I would have eaten two arregladas! Even if you have been traveling with and reusing the same plastic water bottle for two weeks, if it is of the sort that can be bought already containing water, it is not allowed in the park. You will have to buy an expensive, cheaply made plastic or metal bottle just outside the entrance, which the vendor will fill from plastic disposable water bottles. Lol.

I had booked a tour with Odyssey Tours before the pandemic and we had to cancel. They refunded our deposit and I promised that I would book with them when we rescheduled our cruise. I always emailed with Alvaro and he was organized and prompt in his communication with me. Our tour guide was Albert and he was great. I don’t know the name of the driver but he was very helpful to me because I was using a wheelchair. We toured for about 4-1/2 hours and we saw the monkeys and did a boat tour to see the crocodiles. We had such a fun guide on the boat. His English was very good and he was knowledgeable and funny. I don’t hesitate to recommend Odyssey Tours!!!

One of the best shore excursions we've ever been on. Jam packed agenda, monkeys, Crocs, loads of birds, and a guide skilled at spotting macaws and toucans we would have never seen on our own. Big shout out to tour guide Nestor for a great day.

Picked up at the end of the pier. Albert was a fantastic guide and together with Enrico, they took us off the beaten track and into some amazing places. Alberts knowledge of trees and nature were a real bonus. His use of a hand scope to capture pictures was another added bonus

What a wonderful way to see so much of the area in a short time! Our tour guide, Albert, was absolutely wonderful, so informative and kind. We really enjoyed talking with him and he went out of his way to do things that passengers asked about. He also knew just where to go to see the different animals. The scope was such a nice tough to see the macaws! We were on a cruise ship and had zero concerns about missing the ship, we had plenty of time. The driver even knew how to avoid a lot of the traffic that was backed up for miles and miles! Highly recommend!

Great small tour. Came in on a cruise ship and were there to meet us. Al was our guide. He was full of knowledge and answered a lot of questions. A great way to spend a few hours in Costa Rica!

This was a beautiful experience! Carlos was the best tour guide ever! He was extremely knowledgeable and hilarious.My group and I were laughing the whole time! He made us feel safe and comfortable and ensured we had a lot of fun! And we did!

Tour was cancelled 2 days before leaving. Why are you still allowed to book?? Please take the tour down to avoid disappointing more people.

As always, Odyssey tours was fabulous!! We went to San Jose, Sarchi and Grecia. Our guide, Charlie, was excellent and knowledgable.. He made our day interesting and fun! Our driver, Ricardo was an excellent driver! We have always referred Odyssey to others and will continue to do so! Thanks to Diego for coming to greet us at the port!

On April 18, 2023 we toured the area around Puntarenas, Costa Rica as a small group of two couples led by tour guide Albert. Albert was knowledgeable of the area, the country, and offered commentary that was very interesting and articulate in English. We saw many monkeys, birds and crocodiles. Albert and the driver took us to places where no large bus could go such as a fishing village, down narrow roads to embark on a jungle river cruise with The Crocodile Man boat tours and another typical small village. The lunch provided at a sea view restaurant was fantastic. Based on our experience we can highly recommend Odessey Tours in general and Albert in particular.

Our guide was Lester, and he was very knowledgeable and able to teach us well. We learned a lot about the animals and plants of Costa Rica and I consider it money so spent.

I went today with my mom and another 2 people from the Cruise Ship. Prior to this, communicating was very easy with Odyssey via What'sApp and they were prompt in responding. We paid when we got there. The driver Enrique and our tour guide Ronald waited for us in a Mercedes minivan, comfortable with AC and Wifi. The tour was amazing. Ronald was the best tour guide ever. He showed us everything and answered every question. We saw monkeys, went on a crocodile tour, they provided great lunch, went something up the mountains in the van and got a great view of the city. Ronald had a telescope and took pictures for us through it of every bird there is. He is so knowledgeable of all the different species and other animals. We also went to a nice resort that felt like a jungle. Also stopped by a souvenir shop. Our ship had to depart little earlier than initially stated and they accommodated the tour accordingly and brought us back 30 mins before like we asked them to. Overall, this is so worth the money and more. No way you could see all of this on your own in 7 hours. Make sure to tip these guys well. Best tour ever! Thank you Ronald and Odyssey tours.

Manuel Antonio National Park is a must-see if you are in the area, and this tour company did a good job of making our visit fun, educational and easy. The van that transported us from Jaco to the park was clean and comfortable, with free wifi and good air conditioning. The tour of the park was educational (learning about the flora and fauna, as well as the wildlife). We didn't see as many animals as we had expected to see, but that is not something the tour company could control. (We did see two kinds of monkeys, a sloth, bats, frogs, birds, etc.) The lunch was not spectacular, but it was nice to have a hot meal and a cool beverage after walking through the jungle and then hanging out on the beach. Speaking of beverage, the tour was advertised as providing bottled water, but none was offered to us. Also, kudos to our guide (Ronnie)...there were some challenging issues and people in our group, and he handled everything very professionally!

For a group that wants to take it easy and see sights mostly from a car, this was a great tour! Our guide Geraldo was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. Each of the stops on the tour were interesting. We especially liked the stop to feed the monkeys and learning about the leaf that looks like an ear. The monkeys were surprisingly gentle and fun to observe. Our group was slow-moving and we never felt like we were being rushed along. Thanks, Geraldo!
