ATV Tour: Extreme Vista Make your way to the departure point in central Jaco. Meet your guide and ride to the start of an off-road course that climbs the mountains behind Jaco and winds its way into the rain forest. The course concludes at a vista point with clear views of the Pacific Ocean. Canopy Adventure Choose to begin your canopy adventure either immediately after the ATV tour or the next day. After a safety briefing and gear check, begin to soar over the rain forest canopy while admiring views of the ocean and tropical ecosystem. The course is acceptable for first-time zipliners.

Very great tours with AXR!

We've used AXR for all of our tours while staying in Jaco: Waterfalls (twice), Ziplining, and ATV tours (3 times).

There are many tour operators in Jaco, but we were lucky to have met Oscar who manages the Jaco #2 location beside Mary's Diner (it's close to where we're staying). He is very friendly, speaks very good English, and explains things clearly. This is a one-stop shop place, and we like the prices for all that is included. We let Oscar know what type of tour/experience we're looking for, and he arranges it all. There are options to pay with either credit card or cash, so it's very convenient.

We were/are very lucky to have Pachi as our ATV guide, and he takes us to places that we'd never find on our own, and it also gives us peace of mind that we're safe (he can tell what your level of comfort/experience is, and goes from there).
We still have a few days left in Jaco, and have white water rafting, and another ATV tour booked.

We highly recommend AXR for tours, and especially the Jaco #2 location :)

We did the ATV first and Javier was great! The ride through town with the ATV was very fun and the trail was very scenic and beautiful. We all had a great time. We went on the zipline in the afternoon and I cannot say enough great things about the staff. My husband was literally terrified of heights and they did such a great job keeping him calm. The zipline had so many amazing views and a great adrenaline rush. Highly recommend both activities.

Buggie ATV and Zip line

The two trips were fantastic. Our buggy trip was the best. Lots of jungle and mountains trails, beach visit, fun waterfall visit, and riding through rivers. Good value and great tour guide. The following day they picked us up for a 3 hr (round trip) zip line excursion. Again great crew and lots of fun.

Fun for a group!

This was a lot of fun to do with a group. We had 8 people and chose the Zipline/ RZR side-by-sides. It was a great time. The zipline crew were really fun and totally professional. They joked around with us alot, but made us feel very safe. After the ziplining, we rode the rzrs up a hill to a waterfall where we stopped and swam. It was really pretty. You definitely get to see the local side of Jaco and it is worth every penny!

Favorite Activity on our Trip

We booked the Canapy Zipline + 3 hour ATV Waterfall tour for my Husband, son (12 yr) and myself.

I actually opted out of the zipline. This was not a problem with logistics at all. They accommodated this just fine with transportation and pricing. My husband and son really enjoyed this activity.

The Zipline was followed by the ATV which was all of our favorite activity during our trip to Costa Rica!

We opted to rent a buggy and all ride together. Our tour was just us and our guide. I think it just happened to work out this way, but it was great having a "private" tour! Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.

The real star of the show was the beautiful views along this route. Wow! We absolutely loved this tour which was stunning, combined with the fun of 4-wheeling through the river beads and mountain curves! The highlight however was getting out and venturing in, under and behind the waterfall. This was everyone's favorite!

At the end of the tour we stopped at a restaurant up in the mountains for some lunch or a beverage. The views were beautiful and the atmosphere was perfect. All three of us would 100% recommend this trip!

Hell yeah, man!
We brought our daughter and her friend to Jaco as a gift for their college graduation. Beau picked us up at our hotel. He went over the vehicle instructions and safety info. We were then off on our private tour. We toured some amazing scenery and then hiked down to the waterfall. Beau pointed out different insects and plants of interest. He let us determine the pace that was comfortable for us. We had an amazing day and would recommend this tour for all ages.

Awesome first day in Costa Rica

This was literally our first day in the country and we did the combo all in one day. The ATV tour was great. Of course you get dirty, so if you wear contacts, you may want to bring your glasses. The little place at the top of the hill makes an amazing chicken/cheese empenada. There is a swing that you can strap in and sail across the valley. Javier was a great guide, willing to point out different animals and points of interest.
The second part of our tour was the zip lining tour, through Chiclets Zip lining. They are terrific people. They helped my daughter, who was terrified of heights, get across all 14 lines. She said this was the best part of her whole experience in Costa Rica! Great views and extremely friendly people. We all loved it!

Fantastic Day! ATV, Waterfall & Zipllining! We were exhausted!

We had a blast riding ATV's to the Waterfall! Diego was an amazing guide! Views were spectacular! Lunch was super good! By the time we finished Zip Lining we were exhausted. We had six of us in our group for the ATV Waterfall and Lunch section. this was a perfect size group. During the zip line portion we were combined with 10 others which seems like too large of a group. We spent a LOT of time waiting on platforms in the trees to go on the next "zip". At first it was ok.. as you could see all the flora and fauna! Toward the end everyone was hot and exhausted and ready to zip on down for a cold drink to celebrate the end of a super great day!

ATV, Waterfall and Lunch portion super great! Had a blast!

Zipline - was fun but would recommend smaller groups to minimize tree wait time during the end of the zipline experience! I've ziplined before in other area and the groups were not this large.

The best ATV tour I've ever been on

This ATV tour even trumped ATVing the dessert of the Arikok national park in Aruba. Javier was the BEST guide. Gave us FABulous recommendations on where to eat, local history and sights to see nearby. Most importantly, Javier was an amazing instructor (for a fairly novice group) and simply was so much fun to be around -- his energy and enthusiasm were beyond contagious!
