- 1The six main activities you will enjoy include: 1. Limon City Excursion See the main sights on Puerto Limon, where Christopher Columbus landed in 1502. Still a large shipping port, the city now receives many cruise ships. Pass the city's old quarter with a combination of historical and buildings under renovation. View Parque Vargas, the market and more. 2. Rain Forest Visit Cahuita National Park for a up-close encounter with nature. The park has flat and easy walking trails with abundant wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, toucans and coatis. The trail is about 3/4 mile long and takes about 45 minutes at a slow pace. This is a great option for seniors, children or anyone who wants to take it easy. There is no mud or slippery paths. 3. Visit a Viewpoint of the city 4. Coastal Scenic Drive See some beautiful scenery on the way to next stop. 5. Tortuguero Canal - river boat ride 6) Short city tour

- WilliamD3540 contributionsGreat Day 7 in 1 Tour..As MustWhere do I begin. We arrived on the MSC Divina at 8a. We booked the 7in1 tour which include a visit to a fruit stand, souvenir shop, Cahuita National Park, Coastal Drive, Tortuguero Canals, and Viewpoint of the city. Eduardo and #1 driver Andy were waiting for out outside the port area. We loaded off and headed to Cahuita as the majority of the cruise excursions were headed to the canal. At the fruit stand we sampled fresh bananas, mango, coconut and pineapple. Fresh coffee was also available. There is is nice souvenir stand there also. Before we arrived at the National Park, we stopped at a friend's home and go a tour of their yard learning about the flora/fauna. The park is free, but donations are requested. We walked through the jungle as saw sloths, howler monkeys, and lizards. After exiting the park, it was time for some fresh sorbet before heading to the canals. We arrived at the boat landing and hopped into our boat. There was no shortage of wildlife ranging from howler monkeys, sloths, lizards, caymen and crocodiles. We were on the canal for almost an hour. Next we worked our way back into town to the view point at the Red Snapper. Nice bar/restaurant. We then head back to the port. Total time was over 6hrs. We were treated like family and had a blast. We had a great day with Eduardo and newly promoted presidente driver Andy. Email communication was great, and you pay after the tour. This is a private tour and he does not cram the van. Highly recommend this tour if you are in Limon.Written March 26, 2024
- billbP2584ER0 contributionsPura VidaNice day in the land of Pura Vida. Trip was right sized and right length. Guide and driver went out of their way to help us experience what is great about their country. Animal sightings, history and little local touches were what seperated this tour from the44 person ship tour. Oh and the sloths birds and howler monkeys were just as advertised. We have been to Costa Rica five times before and it never disappoints.Written March 19, 2024
- M617QDvickir0 contributionsExcellent guide for our group of 5Excellent tour. Very knowledgeable and informative. So friendly and showed us what Costa Rica is really like. Price is fair and much better than a cruise ship bus tripWritten February 13, 2024
- zinac850 contributionsAn authentic experience!I took a private tour with Eduardo from Your Lucky Tour through the Tortuguero Canal and Cahuita National Park. It was truly an authentic experience. I was able to view Sloths, Iguanas many types of birds and even Howler monkeys in the wild. It was a beautiful day and I really enjoyed learning about all the different types of plants that grow in Costa Rica. I even enjoyed some of the Costa rican cuisine which was a nice experience. We were on our own time and I never felt rushed yet we had plenty of time to return to the ship. I highly recommend this tour!Written February 13, 2024
- ellen-california0 contributionsNice, but a bit crowdedGreat park, but felt pretty crowded as we visited around Christmas holidays. Would be great to come here in the early morning or late afternoon. Saw sloth, Capuchin monkeys, raccoons. The beach runs parallel to the trail, could have probably taken a dip in the water, if we had more time. Guards check your bags at the entrance - do not bring any plastic bags, those are not allowed. You need to sign a book with your name/address and make a donation to enter the park. Restrooms available and there's a restaurant right outside the entrance (we did not eat there, though)Written January 7, 2024
- ellen-california0 contributionsTour of Tortuguero Canals and Cahuita National ParkWe were in Puerto Limón on a cruise, but I did not want to take a cruise shore excursion because they often feel overcrowded and rushed. Eduardo offered a guide and a private tour for our family (4 people) and we had a great time exploring Tortuguero Canals and Cahuita National Park. We really wanted to see a sloth, monkeys, and wildlife, and all our wishes came true. 😊 We also had a stop at a local fruit market and got to try local coffee, bananas, etc. Our guide was really nice, the van was very comfortable, we felt safe in a new country, and had plenty of time to explore and get back to the ship well ahead of its departure time. This was our first visit to Costa Rica and I look forward to coming back!Written January 7, 2024
- NorthStar486461241090 contributionsFantastic day with Your Lucky TourWow! Fun day with Eduardo on the Tortuguero Canal Tour & Cahuita National Park tour. I booked the tour before we boarded the cruise ship then asked others to join us - we were a small group of 8. Perfect number. Eduardo was easy to find at the port and the van was very comfortable and easy to get in and out of with a good driver. Eduardo kept an eye on the time and made sure we arrived back to port well before all aboard. We did the canal tour first. Nice comfortable boat and we saw howler monkeys, lots of birds including green herons, snowy egrets and tri-colored herons. Also saw Iguanas, Jesus lizards (runs on water), Caiman and both 2 toed and 3 toed sloths. Drove to the national park next for a short walk on a good trail with views of the beach and water and saw sloths, monkeys, iguanas and an eyelash viper snake. One on the tour decided to rest at a bench along the walk with a great beach view and the rest of us picked him up on the way back - this in an in and out walk. Eduardo was a fantastic guide - he even stopped for beer, water and sodas when we asked.Written January 5, 2024
- Jason S0 contributionsDo Not Take the Zip Line tour with this companyDO NOT TAKE THE ZIPLINE TOUR WITH THIS COMPANY!! Extremely dangerous. This company uses Brisas de la Jungla zip line course. Most dangerous course I’ve ever seen. One portion of the zip line goes low over a road. My wife was zip lining down, when suddenly a bus was crossing the road and my wife slammed into the bus going very fast. She sustained severe damage to her legs, hip and back. This was a totally avoidable injury. Who builds a zip line track that has the possibility to be hit by a car?!?! Your Lucky Tour did take us back to the ship immediately but we’re only concerned about getting paid while I was trying to get my wife medical care. $567 to put your life in danger. AVOID!!Written December 26, 2023
- Ronnie M0 contributionsSloths, monkeys, iguanas and wonderful guides. Our guides were great. It was a super humid and sticky December day, but they took us to a lot of beautiful places to see wildlife and plants we wouldn’t ever see in the wild otherwise. We got to see howler monkeys, sloths, iguanas and much more. I’d recommend the tour to anyone here for a day visit.Written December 22, 2023
- LarryNTeri0 contributionsWonderful Personalized ExperienceI definitely would recommend Eduardo at Your Lucky Tour. We traveled to Puerto Limon via ship but were trying to avoid the crowded tours provided by our cruise line. We contacted several tour operators prior to our visit and selected Your Lucky Tour based on other positive reviews and the prompt responses by Eduardo to our inquiries. We did the Tortuguero Canal and Cahuita National Park tour. Both were quite interesting and we saw sloths, caiman, monkeys and lots of birds. The tour was advertised as 4-5 hours, but ours lasted longer (6-7 hours) and nothing felt rushed. Eduardo was very knowledgeable about Costa Rica and the ecosystem and was eager to share about his beautiful country. He took time to explain about bananas, chocolate, coffee, economy, foliage and wildlife and really made the trip interesting. The other thing that impressed me was the group size. We had three in our party and were the only ones in the group. We were greeted just outside the port by Eduardo, led to a 15-passenger van driven by Roberto. We had a private tour. Even on the canal, we were the only ones on the 28-passenger boat in addition to the guide/captain. If you are going to Puerto Limon and want an interesting tour, definitely give Your Lucky Tour a try.Written November 4, 2023

He took us on a great tour in Puerto Limon, Costa Rica and we also took a lovely boat ride. Eduardo is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. - pattyrR8226AZ0 contributionsLimón Costa Rica canals and overviewWe took a tour with Eduardo while in port on a cruise. 4/6/2023. I arranged the tour with Eduardo via email. He was extremely responsive and timely with any questions. Our itinerary changed a month before the cruise and he was able to adjust our date without issue. He met us just outside the cruise port with a sign with our name on it. Due to it being Easter week, many places were closed but Eduardo was able to take us on the canals where we were able to see monkeys, sloths and lizards. The canal boat tour operators were great and got us up close and made sure everyone got pics etc. we then went to a plantation which was busy with other cruise tours. Eduardo got us right in and walked us around and provided us samples of fruits and cocoa. Being a small group we were able to hear and see what Eduardo had to say. Unlike the many large cruise tours where they looked bored and miserable because only the first couple people by the tour guide would be able to hear. We were then taken to a shopping area for souvenirs and we went to a lookout area to take pictures. The little restaurant for the lookout was closed due to Easter week but we pulled off the road to take pics of our cruise ship in port. Costa Rica is high crime and we felt completely safe with Eduardo and our driver. Would highly recommend Eduardo’s tours.Written April 12, 2023
- Lady_angler20000 contributionsExcellent TourHighly Recommend Eduardo with Your Lucky Tours. He is very prompt and upfront email communications with pricing of tours. If you get more than 7 people price will be reduced and he honored that on our recent tour 7 in 1. We had 9 people on our tour. We did have to shorten our trip since Constellation cruise ship was only in port 8-4pm He made sure we saw what the group wanted to see and we were back to the ship in plenty of time to shop at the port. We did the Tortuguero Canals boat ride tour saw sloths, monkeys, flowers and other fauna. Then off to the Cahuita National Park where Eduardo walked with us into the rain forest next to the ocean pointing out different animals, again seeing sloths, howler monkeys (warning us not to stand underneath them as they will do naughty things), Jesus Christ Lizard because it walks on water, Giant Butterflies and much more. We finally stopped at a fruit stand for free samplings and shopping. Felt very safe and had a fun adventure with Lucky Day Tours-thanks Eduardo and Ruperto. Go you will not be sorry!!!!Written April 10, 2023
- jtdl0 contributionsNot enough timeWe didn’t have Eduardo for our tour guide, not sure what that man’s name was that we did have. He was very nice and told us a lot about Costa Rica on our travels but we didn’t get the 7:1 tour we booked and the two places we did go to - canal boat tour and Cahuita - we were left on our own. At the boat ride he took us to an area and said we would get the boat here and then he was gone. We waited around and after some time another large tour group came in and were lining up to go. We had no idea if we were to go with them. Finally saw our driver and asked him and he found someone else and they did put us on that boat. Then at the park he went to the entrance with us, told us we had to pay to go in (which we had not been aware of - it was a minimum donation of $5, not a big deal but would have been nice to know ahead of time), told us to take our time and he would meet us back outside. We assumed by other reports that this was a guided tour. On the drive to the park we realized we were on different times and so had an hour less time then we thought so we walked in about 15 minutes and then went back. We had wondered why our driver had mentioned several times that the ship was late when it had actually only been about 10-15 minutes late. We had no idea when we booked the tour that our ship didn’t change to CR time but you would think the tour guides would know this? So with the traffic of three ships being in port and stories our drivers was telling us about several hour waits at one-lane bridges and accidents, etc., we got very uncomfortable. He asked if we wanted to go to a fruit stand but we thought with only a couple hours left until we had to be back on the ship we should skip it. So he took us directly back to the port area, no city tour and no view point. We did enjoy our driver and all he told us about Costa Rica on our long commute to Cahuita and back but we were pretty disappointed in the tour itself.Written March 27, 2023

We had an amazing time on our 7 in 1 excursion! It's a unique experience, as you get to see several popular destinations, but also a stop at a local community to taste various plants fresh from their backyard! This is not something any other cruise passenger did. It was a memorable experience that we'll never forget!

We booked the 7 in 1 tour and it was fantastic! We booked the tour during our visit on our cruise. There was a slight mistake on our part due to ship time being 1 hr earlier than local time but Eduardo was there waiting for us anyways even though we were early! We went to the tortugero canal first and it was great they showed us sloths and snakes birds and crocodile everywhere. we got very close to some. Then off to a local farm stand with great local fresh fruits and National park oh man was it beautiful! where the rainforest meets the beach. Eduardo and alexander (the great) our drive were awesome able to answer all our questions and provided a great tour with many laughs will always recommend a tour with Your Lucky Tour!!!

Last month, 4 of us were met off our cruise ship by Eduardo, a guide and a driver (sorry, I forget the names). All were excellent, as was the boat driver at the Tortugero Canal. We went on a combo tour, first to the canal, in a small boat with both the guide and the boat driver spotting, so we saw a great deal: a sloth, a howler monkey, a crocodile, an iguana, lizards, and many birds. As well, we learned some things about life for the people living there. The big boats used for the cruise line tours had not yet started, so we had the waterway almost to ourselves. After that, we had a driving tour of the city of Puerto Limon, drove to a viewpoint, and then went to a souvenir shop for a short visit. Then it was off to Cahuita National Park. There it was nice to see the local people enjoying their Sunday in family groups. We walked a trail, and saw many capuchin monkeys and a different kind of iguana, and also had some interesting flora pointed out to us. It was good value for money, and I would not hesitate to go with Eduardo's Your Lucky Tour company again if I was in the area.

Met Rupert for our tour at the cruise terminal. Followed the instructions and found him with no issue. Met up with Eduardo for the rain forest boat tour. They all worked very hard to find the animals in forest. We saw sloths, monkeys, numerous types of birds and other wildlife. The rest of tour was very informative and Rupert was great! Would highly recommend Your Lucky Tour.

Eduardo met our family at our cruise ship. He took our family on a private tour which included zip lining, rain forest boat ride (we saw Sloth's, Monkeys and many unique birds), and lastly lunch at a local beach restaurant where we had an amazing lunch of local faire.
We loved this trip and would highly recommend Eduardo to any family.
