Great tour guides, very nice trip through the forest, lovely view and the mangoes were great. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was trip advisors fault not the tour- we didn't get any notification about the message from the tour driver with the pick up time and missed our driver as we only had the start time to go on. But the drivers picked us up later that day to make up for it!

We had fun on this half-day catamaran excursion. We got to see many spotted dolphins and a humpback whale breeching! Not too intrusive to the animals. Water was to choppy for good snorkeling but we still had a nice swim. Fruit and drinks were provided. Music wasn't too loud. Good for the family overall.

Our Guide, Christopher, was excellent. He was so knowledgeable and accommodating. The driver was also wonderful. When we go to the river, he were escorted to a family home where we were given fruit and could use the washroom, the after the boat we were given a delicious typical Costa Rican lunch. On the boat, we were amazed at how the captain was able to spot the wildlife on shore even though the are well camaflaged. We saw howler and white faced monkeys, lots of crocodiles, various species of birds, I clouding macaws, and eguanas. It was amazing.

Danny and Nacho from Octopus Tours did a great job taking our family on the four hour tour. They were hospitable, prompt, professional, and fun. We highly recommend.

Great tour, very knowledge staff. Awesome hike with amazing views of Samara beach from the top. Delicious pineapple and drinks provided at the end. Second time doing this excursion.

Great trip and wonderful guides. Everyone had a great time and saw some beautiful wildlife. We had kids ages 8-12 and they loved it. Would recommend.

Alberto was a good driver and took the time to point out items of interest along the way. We enjoyed a spectacular sunset. The WiFi, drinks, and snacks were appreciated

Christopher aka Chichi was very knowledgeable, considerate and fun guide. He is a biology student studying ornithology. I enjoyed grandfather stories of medicinal plant use - lives in the Blue Zone.

Chichi was a wonderful guide and the crew was also great. Chichi was so knowledgeable about the dolphins and whale that we saw and he was very funny too. We saw lots of dolphins! Unfortunately we were not able to see anything while snorkeling but it was still fun to cool off in the water. Fresh fruit was delicious.

Hi you can see a lot of animals... dolphins.., and if u are lucky whales ! We can see a mother with a baby.. impressive.. just a point of attention : be sure you are not ill with the sea !!

My two boys (ages 9 and 11) had the absolute best time on this tour! The guides were engaging and knowledgeable, we felt safe and most of all we saw whales! So many dolphins! A sting ray and many other fish. The boat wasn’t overcrowded so we were able to see from all angles. Such a great day! Pura Vida

They cancelled 1/2 of my tour day of, forgot lunch was included dropped me off at a terrible restaurant to have lunch alone, still arguing for at least a partial refund - definitely not worth what I paid, very disappointed!

This trip was outstanding from pick up to drop off. The staff were kind and considerate, showing particular care and patience to our 80+ year old friend. The boat was more than adequate for the number of passengers, allowing great viewing opportunities for everyone onboard. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, whales and a beautiful turtle and the staff were very knowledgable about marine life. One thing that Samara Adventures got SO right was to respect and maintain a healthy distance between the boat and the animals in their natural habitat. The same cannot be said for 2 rival companies we witnessed: Francisco & Octopus. They couldn't have cared less about the animals and zoomed their boats way too close as soon as they spotted one. They didn't turn off their engines either. As a group of animal lovers, we were disgusted by this behaviour. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! After a swim and snorkel, the crew provided delicious fresh fruit and soft drinks. There was more than enough to go around. If I ever return to Samara, I will do this trip again as it was an absolute joy and was fantastic value for money. Highly recommended.

Luis was an amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were treated to a wonderful experience. The trip was very well paced and gave us time to enjoy the sights.

What an amazing adventure! Our guide, Cristopher, was so welcoming to us, and extremely knowledgeable about the Werner reserve and all of its inhabitants. We saw two types of monkeys, many different species of birds and trees and plants, plus an incredible view of Samara at the end of the hike. What a wonderful experience! Highly recommended!
