We had the best time on our trip. We got to see whales and sea turtles. The crew was very friendly and the lunch they served was delicious. We will definitely do this again on our next trip to Tamarindo.

I have to admit I didn’t have high expectations for this sail that we booked at the last minute. The catamaran was well maintained and the captain and crew were professional. Despite the professionalism, there wasn’t much talk of safety procedures but I think the captain did a good job of hitting the high points. They provided all the snorkel equipment we needed. Maybe because it was off season, there were about 30 people on board (thankfully!). On the way out to the cove area for snorkeling, we saw two humpback whales! It appeared to be a mom and juvenile. They played (surfacing and breaching) for about 20 minutes and we were all mesmerized! The captain kept a safe distance as to not disturb them. We snorkeled in a cove with beautiful reef fish swimming around the volcanic rocks and thanks to one of the crew members we saw an octopus. After the snorkel we boarded for a delicious late lunch of bbq chicken, refried beans, rice, chips, salsa, and homemade cookies. (Did I mention the full bar included in the price?!) On the way back to shore, a pod of curious dolphins entertained us for a while just before a stunning sunset. It was a really special trip!

Fantastic afternoon of whale-watching, snorkelling, nice food and drink and great company. Sunset finish was the icing on the cake. Staff were amazing. We only had 28 passengers but it can get very busy in high season with more than double that number. Book directly with the operator though - a certain review site adds a massive premium!

We had such a great time on this tour. The staff was friendly and professional. They even helped us arrange a shuttle to get to the beach where we met the tour. The food and drinks were delicious! We saw whales and were lucky enough to enjoy a gorgeous sunset! Definitely recommend Marlin Del Rey!

The crew were so friendly and kind and the sunset at the end was just amazing!! There was a decent number of guests on the cat but we didn't feel cramped at all. We had a beautiful time seeing Costa Rica from a different perspective and would definitely recommend this trip for anyone visiting the area!

The crew of this ship was outstanding. They were constantly circulating the guest offer drinks. They had full bar and great lunch of fresh fruit, bar b q chicken, chips, rice and beans. The captain was very kind and personable. The staff was great at getting everyone set up for snorkeling. The snorkeling it self was a bit short in time and water was not very clear. The captain did circle around and stop so we could see mating sea turtles, 3 -4 sets. & Dolphins. Amazing sunset views. This trip definitely worth it.

Sunsets never disappoint! The crew are amazing. Drinks and food are always good. Try to go every year we come down. Took lots of pics.

Really great tour! We did the morning version and even got to see whales on our trip out! The boat ride was really nice, we got to see a lot snorkeling, and the lunch was fantastic. Much better than I expected!! Usually the food on tours like this is so-so, but this food was really great. BBQ chicken, rice, fruits & veggies, cookies, chips, and dip. There was time to relax and eat and plenty of time to swim and snorkle. For snorkeling, they provided clean masks & snorkels, as well as flippers and floaties. (The flippers were a must as the waves were a bit strong!) I saw tons of beautiful fish, including about 5 puffer fish, and a school of the cutest tiny stripped fish I've ever seen, as small as a pencil eraser! Highly recommend!

I want to thank this company for providing good service to our clients and myself. We had the best experience, I want to thank the staff at the Playa Tamarindo offices who were always attentive, the captain and the staff at New Marlin in Playas del Coco for providing us with good service. I also highly recommend this catamaran for its focus on families, good service and very well-equipped amenities on the boats.

We took this cruise as a one stop for a nice half day experience. Captain Andre was incredible and his crew was spry and helpful! Couples, families and singles all on board and had an exceptional experience. Water was a bit cloudy for snorkeling but the swimming was still enjoyable. Sunset was timed PERFECTLY for some great photos and the food after our swim was among the best we had during our stay! Highly recommend this excursion!!

We had a wonderful experience with Marina Del Rey. A beautiful cruise to a secluded cove and snorkeling spot, caring staff, good food and we even saw dolphins!

Awesome day on the water! Family of 9, had a great day, snorkeling was fun! Wife reeled in a yellowfin tuna and the crew served us up some fresh sashimi! Highly recommend!
