About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Brakband0 contributionsIncredible Light BlueThe Tenorio National Park is where the main features of Rio Celeste are viewable. It is easy to get to it and the entry fee is reasonable, and inexpensive if you are a national. It is mostly an easy hike along well established trails, except the stairs at the waterfall. The heat and humidity make the decent and climb back up seem much more taxing than you might think. There is an incredible view of the light blue waterfall. We also enjoyed several views of the river, a bubbling pool, and the incredible surrounding jungle and wildlife. It is absolutely incredible to see such a vibrant blue color contrasting the green jungle. It is well worth the visit.Written September 2, 2024
- 982elsal0 contributionsAmazing experienceThis tour was awesome! Milo the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us extra time and allowed us to make stops to take pictures anytime we wanted to. The river crossings we need were really cool. Thumbs up all the way. I would totally recommend.Written August 25, 2024
- Inspire518940734290 contributionsGreat day with a variety of fantastic activities. Don't miss this opportunity if you are in the area.Great 10 hour day. Our tour guide Gabriel was the best. He was so helpful and knowledgeable about the areas we traveled to. He was extremely flexible if we wanted to stop and hit a couple souvenir shops. We went to the Catarata Llanos del Cortes waterfall. Spectacular. There a a couple guys there that will do some fancy and incredible photos and videos using your phone. They don't ask for a tip, but you would be a creep if you didn't pay them. The videos they make are creative and fun. We swam in the waterfall, then headed to the Volcanoes. The scenery is fantastic. On our way, Gabriel stopped at a stand where they were selling fruit and breads. He purchased some pineapple for us. No kidding, there is no pineapple I have ever tasted that was as sweet and juicy as this one. I purchased a flat bread made with a honey coating. It was called elephant ear bread because it resembles that. What a treat. So delicious. We ate it in the van, then on our way back, had to stop and purchase more, it was so dang good. We went and swam in the blue river. The most beautiful river I have ever seen. A slight smell of sulfur, but that is to be expected since it is from the volcanoes. Next we ate a delicious meal at a family restaurant. We had a choice of meats. The food was so good, and the pineapple juice was the best. We then headed to the nature walk. Our guide there was able to spot and point out glass, red eyed, and poison dart frogs as well as a eyelash pit viper. We also saw enormous squirrels, and a big sloth and small sloth. Our guide also had a great scope to point out Toucans and gray hawks. We saw the smallest bees and leaf cutter ants. Our guide also took some great pics for us with our cameras. I would highly recommend this tour. It does not disappoint. There is not a lot of strenuous hiking with this tour. It was quite relaxing and informative.Written June 15, 2024
- ttravelgirl0070 contributionsGreat customized experience! They go above & beyond for you.Miller was an exceptional guide for our third trip to beautiful CR. A customized experience, we told him our interests and he assisted us in making the trip happen. Punctual, great communication through WhatsApp, and very informative about the local wildlife and all things Costa Rica! Our stops for food were delicious and hand picked for us. He tended to our needs with the kids and made us feel safe and taken care of at all times. I can’t say enough good things. If you want to maximize your time, I highly recommend booking with Miller and his team. Thanks for a great two days of touring Miller.Written March 10, 2024

Oved helped me with my camera as he is an avid photographer. (Im still waiting for him to send me his pics of the day though! LOL) We saw monkeys, sloths, birds, frogs , snakes, waterfall, blue river, and we had the most fantastic local lunch! It was a great day and we highly recommend this trip!Written January 28, 2024
- virgv6200 contributionsFantastic excursion and GuideThe excursion was fantastic. We experienced the Rainforest, the views and sounds were amazing. Our tour guide Eddy, was absolutely amazing- he made the outing a home run. He was knowledgeable about all the flora and fauna of Costa Rica and shared the history of his country. We visited the waterfall and were the first ones there and experienced this with just our family- swimming and taking great pictures. The sloth encounter was really special as well. Everywhere we went we seemed to be the first to arrive which made it even more special. Eddy seemed to know everyone- we stopped so he could educate us on the Guanacaste Tree and then again to try some some local Rosquillas and watermelon. Everyone honked and waved at Eddy. The restaurant he took us to for lunch allowed us to try the local cuisine and it was great- it also had a butterfly sanctuary. Eddy gave us VIP treatment and I highly recommend him and this excursion.Written January 15, 2024

- codyl20130 contributionsBest zip lining I've ever done! This was our first of 2 excursions while staying in Costa Rica and it was incredible. The ride into Buena Vista was awesome with incredible views of the volcanos and mountains. Our tour guide, 'Cibi,' was an awesome tour guide. He provided a ton of great insights into the history and culture of Costa Rica, its land and resources, people and customs. He walked us through every step of the excursion and was an absolute pleasure to speak with and have great conversation with. He is truly passionate about what he does and his country which really made the excursion even more enjoyable. The horseback riding through the rainforest was a cool experience. Riding horseback through a rainforest would have been something I never thought of doing before this trip. Great way to start our excursion. Next was the culture tour which gave a really personal experience into the culture of Costa Rica - making pottery, coffee, sugar cane farming, and more. It was really insightful to get a glimpse into the lives of the 'Tico's' and 'Ticas' of Costa Rica. BTW, I don't like coffee but Costa Rican coffee is a game changer. After trying it at the culture tour, I bought 2 bags of coffee grounds to take back home. The Zip Line was absolutely awesome. The views were incredible! We got to zip line across 7 different lines which were great. By far the best zip lining I've ever done. The lunch served on this excursion was fantastic. They took us to an exclusive lunch restaurant available only to us as the tourists and the restaurant was outdoors overlooking the mountains which was really jaw dropping. The food was incredible - a full service Costa Rican inspired meal that was better than I could have imagined. The last stop was the natural sauna and hot springs which was so cool. We got to sit in a natural hot sauna, bathe in mountain mud (cooler than it sounds) and then relax in the naturally heated hot spring baths in the middle of the rainforest. Plus they put a bar next to the natural sauna so you can sip on a cold Pina Colada or margarita while relaxing in the warm springs water. Overall, this excursion was a true taste of Costa Rican paradise that was incredible. I highly recommend this excursion to anyone looking to get a true taste of Costa Rica's culture and beauty!Written September 11, 2023
- Blair V0 contributionsGreat Experience! From the price and description, my expectations were pretty high. Overall, it was a great! We didn’t see beaches or get our pictures taken so that was a huge bummer after looking at pics on other reviews. But I’m still thankful for our own unique experience that no one else will get. Our guide Alex knew everything about everything and is an incredible human. We stopped at a convenience store and had the most amazing snack I’ll ever eat in my life: pasteles. The Diamante Eco park is underwhelming but beautiful. We stopped at a local bar, our bodies coated in dirt, and enjoyed every minute of it!Written August 1, 2023

- deenetty0 contributionsAmazing day with an amazing tour guide! Our guide Eddy was incredible. He made us feel like family right from the start. He was waiting for us at the hotel entrance and made my daughter and I feel super comfortable. He is very proud of his country and taught us so much about this beautiful place. We swam at the waterfall, saw sloths, blue jean frogs, an eyelash viper, stingless bees, and leaf cutter ants. Even a rainbow eucalyptus tree which was stunning. We had an incredible lunch with the best food we had in Costa Rica so far at La Amistad. We stopped at a souvenir place, saw and swam in the Rio Celeste and the day ended with the one thing we had requested…..monkeys!!! We saw them on the drive back. He pulled over and gave us lots of time to ooh and ahh over them. So cool!!! Eddy was freelancing with this company for the day and he has his own tour company as well called Ready Eddy haha. I highly recommend this tour and most especially Eddy. He made sure we understood that we now have a friend in Costa Rica ❤️.Written June 2, 2023

Gabriel (Gabo) picked us up at our resort and drove us everywhere. Great conversation with him in the car. He is native from Playas del Coco and really pretty good with English as his second language. He's knows a lot about the area, history and ecology- so there was great discussion between segments of the trip. First was the waterfall- beautiful little tucked away spot. I could have spent the day there swimming and exploring, but we had to move on. Prepare to take a towel and dry off if you want to swim in the water, you don't have to of course. Next: The river float was gorgeous with lots of crocs (not gators like another reviewer said!!) birds, lizards, iguanas etc. Lunch was definitely authentic local fare, professionally served (waiters work at being good in their trade in Costa Rica) and tasty (but get the chicken, not the beef steak...). Later at the wildlife reserve, the sloths were plentiful, but most were high enough that anyone who brings binoculars is thinking ahead and will be rewarded! I wish my zoom was better on my camera. The attention to detail was amazing by our guide who saw walking sticks (I swear I could have put my hand on that thing and never suspected it was alive), green frogs, red frogs and lots of vegetation pointed out to us. Beautiful!! My biggest regret/misfortune is that my phone overheated on the river float and I didn't get any pics at the end of it or later. Fortunately, Gabriel got some and gave us his business care with his personal cell- he was willing to share that with us so we could get the pics, but I kept the card in my pocket and it didn't survive the hot tub later that day at the resort, so Gabriel- if you are out there, please use our email to send us the iguana pics and others :-)
