        Not a classy experience!
The Booking Process: The hotel book this place, and they received a cut. When EcoTermales was sold out, despite dozens of competitors, my hotel of very good renown had no alternative. Is EcoTermales the only one that pays the hotels? High remorse that I went here. Not a classy experience! The Buffet: The buffet was good. We loved the steak! Standards like baked-in broth chicken thigh and legs were also available. There might have been tilapia. French fries were hot, and we had cauliflower. I do wish they had a green vegetable other than lettuce, though. We had like a dozen desserts... The Hot Springs: The hot springs were nice, with lots of areas to be together. It had a nature feel. However, there were loud couples yapping away, which destroyed any possibility for tranquility. Towel Situation: Everyone offered one towel put you request two towels, but after visiting the springs, there was no attendant at the towel counter. There were no towels available, and no one was in sight in the area of the lockers and showers. Bar Code Bracelets: They give you bar code bracelets for drinks. You cannot get to your car without being stopped for a scan. Additionally, you can’t leave the parking lot without giving them a pass. You can only get the pass from the cashier, who ensures you’ve paid for your drinks before allowing you to leave.

A pleasant way to spend a day
My wife visited the Ecotermales hot spring over the course of about five hours. There is a series of pools of slightly varying temperature that one can enjoy to lounge in. This site is allegedly for adults only, but there were a number of young folks there. It was pleasantly busy, but this location indicates that the numbers typically on site are much less than other locations. There are change facilities, lockers and towels provided as part of the entry fee. We took an Uber from La Fortuna out to the site. There is a restaurant on site, although we only took a break for a beer there.

Great way to spend a relaxing day.
Beautiful location and facility. Helpful staff. We have been to many hot springs around the world and this is by far our favorite.

Amazing - until paying our bill
We were so happy with our experience here. The dinner buffet was amazing - Service was great. Our family ate so well! We loved the hot springs and the changing areas were clean. Lockers were easy to use. Everything was amazing - until we went to settle our bill. They give everyone a wrist band, which they scan when you order drinks. There were 8 of us, and when we went to check out they gave us 6 bills with repeats on bills and double charges etc. Make sure you check your bills closely against people who are within your booking. Other than that, we were so so happy with our experience.

        Wonderful Experience
This was a great experience and I would highly recommend this service. The company was very accommodating and easy to coordinate with. Offered to stop and eat and had bottles of water.

Book a massage through the hotel instead of a day pass
Check in with my day pass was slower than it should have been. I had to double park my car, wait in line at front desk to be told to instead wait in line at concierge desk where my day pass was un recognized because it cam through trip advisor. I showed ID then my ticket and then was asked to wait through a series of calls until they could confirm I had a. Day pass which took 15 min. After that was over, I parked my car and went on with enjoying the hot springs and resort which was beautiful and lunch was delicious. It was clear the resort is a well oiled machine but check in through trip advisor was not. If I had it to do again. I would have just purchased a massage through the hotel which gives you a day pass and enjoyed the hot springs that way. I tried to book a late notice massage while I was there, but they were all booked. While at the spa, I noticed the spa and massage area was like something out of a dream. Book a massage instead of a day pass.

Over-hyped. Don't go beyond the waterfall if it is raining; the hike is strenuous and the ultimate location not worth it
We had heard great reviews about this tour but it did not live up to the hype. The persistent rain and trail conditions to Tenideros made the hike very difficult. Perhaps as a result of the rain, the advertised changing water color at Tenideros did not materialize--way over sold! I would not recommend going beyond the waterfall if it is raining. Also, I highly suspect that the promotional photo of the waterfall has the water color doctored as the waterfall is way downstream from Tenideros.

Not worth it, overhyped!! Avoid that place!
Not worth it at all! We thought we were gonna have the time of our lives, in an amazing and luxurious place (90USD per person just to access the pools). Don't get me wrong the pools are really pretty and it must have been a lot of work. However, it is NOT worth $90 each! They just give you a simple towel, no robe, no drink or food included, parking does not feel safe even though it's supposed to be part of it, and staff was not even friendly nor helpful, no hairdryer, no way to change the pressure for the showers, nor to choose hot or cold water while showering (plus, showerheads were all rusty!). Definitely not worth it, good if some people liked it but honestly save your money and take your business elsewhere! We had better showers in most hostels we went to in the past! I would honestly recommend going to Termalitas Arenal, we went the day before going to Tabacón and it was way better! Paid only $8 per person for full day entrance (you can get in and out whenever as long as you have your bracelet, you can bring your own drinks and food...), so worth it! And the pools were REALLY hot, not like Tabacón where it was not accurate nor hot, just warm. Hopefully they'll whether lower the price or increase the quality of the offer because for now it's not worth it, not even close to.

Long wait to enter (no benefit to buying advance tickets)
Lots of hot springs pools but little variation in temperature. There was a very long line/wait to get into the place (see pic) even if you bought your ticket in advance, like we did. I see no benefit to buying advance tickets. The lunch was average, but there was also a very long line for the buffet. So the whole experience was just average.

        Great place!!
Very professional and friendly guides. We did sloth and wildlife tours. Thumps up for places like these who are passionate about helping animals and at the same time educating people. Loved it.
