About
“Experience nature like never before in this truly immersive activity. Safely descend waterfalls while you hone your skills as a new or experienced rappeller, and dip your toes into some light zip lining along the way. You will come into close contact with nature, able to see every unique crevice that our mountains have to offer. Our hike will give you the opportunity to appreciate nature from a different perspective – from right inside of the rainforest as you follow the path of a small creek. If you want adventure, security, and fun, come join the best! We offer free pick-up from La Fortuna and drive you for about 15 minutes until we reach our destination in a small local town called El Burrito. This bumpy trek offers some spectacular views of the volcano and only takes about 10 minutes while the canyoning tour itself takes a full 2-3 hours – but don’t worry, at the end of the tour we’ll give you an authentic Costa Rican lunch!”

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- baileyb9760 contributionsCoffee, sugar, chocolate… why not?Our guide Carlos was awesome and taught us so many things about chocolate, coffee, and sugar cane we wouldn’t have known otherwise. Something we truly enjoyed was how interactive the tour was letting all be involved in different parts of the process!Written November 29, 2024
- katarinabC8572IF0 contributionsGreat toursOur tour at the sloth park was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Costa Rica. Sergio is a great tour guide who took his time with each animal we saw, and ensured everyone in the group got a chance to see it through his telescope. He also helped us take pictures and videos of the animals, and we were able to get some amazing shots. He was very informative and great at spotting things nobody else could see. We recommend not only doing the sloth tour, but the chocolate and coffee tour as well. We got to make our own coffee, taste lots of delicious chocolates, and learned a lot about the production processes for both. They were both very educational and fun tours, and one of the highlights of our trip.Written November 19, 2024
- pauljZ3271WN0 contributionsBest ZiplineIgnore other Ziplines. This is the best one. You “fly” for over a minute on each run. Views are amazing. Feel totally safeWritten August 29, 2024
- 119cynthiax0 contributionsSloth and chocolateWe did both 🦥 sloth watch and the coffee and chocolate tour. Well worth the time and money. Highly recommend. Both guides were very knowledgeable really trying to engage you into the discussion. It was a wonderful time.Written August 24, 2024

- avazy120 contributionsBest midday tourWe were visiting monte verde for four days and on our second day we did this tour in the middle of the day. We got there early to figure out parking, but that was not a problem. We first entered and got our ticket and then went into the main area. In the main area there was a variety of complimentary coffees, iced tea, water, and hot chocolate for before and after the tour. As soon as we got there our tour guide greeted us and introduced himself to us. Later we started our tour and it was just us and one other family. Our guide first took us to the sugarcane and showed us how the juice was made, he let us help him with making the juice and it was delicious. Next we went to the chocolate where he showed us how it was made and the history behind it. He then let us try a cocoa seed, chocolate nibs, and chocolate paste. We then learned about how coffee was made and when coffee season was, he showed us how they roasted the coffee beans and how they distributed it. Lastly, we went back to the souvenir shop and our guide answered any questions we had. TIP: our tour guide was Joksan; he was fantastic, friendly, and he allowed us to have a hands-on experience.Written July 24, 2024
- andsayhello0 contributionsGive Mario a raiseI visited here during a stop in Monteverde and it was my favorite experience in Costa Rica. We got to sample chocolate and sugar cane and see the whole process, which was more interesting than I would have thought. The tour though was absolutely made by Mario. He was personable and hilarious, kept us laughing and made the whole morning a lot of fun.Written July 16, 2024
- V8668DQvictorm0 contributionsGreat Time and Experience!Had an amazing time doing the tubing down the Arenal river! The three guides were excellent and very attentive. The length of the tubing was at the right length and challenge level for two 60 year olds.Written July 10, 2024
- GreyestGreyDog0 contributionsAmazing Guide, Fun for the FamilyWonderful, informative, interactive tour. Our family (including a 13 and 11 year old) loved this, mostly thanks to our guide, Carlos, who was passionate, intelligent, welcoming, and funny. Learned lots, had a blast. Highly recommend.Written July 8, 2024
- JourneyMan3390 contributionsHidden Gem of a TourWhat a treat? Pulled in not knowing what to expect! It was more than a coffee tour. It also had sugar cane, cacao and even some knowledge on bananas. This tour is definitely worth it. We tasted many forms of coffee, cacao and hand processed sugar. Then at the end they offered free samples of everything again. This is a chocolate and coffee lovers dream tour. The guide was funny and very knowledgeable.Written July 7, 2024
- 2meninag0 contributionsSee the sloths with Wes!The Sloth Park would not be possible without our guide, Wes. You would never be able to see the creatures lounging up there. Wes is high energy, knowledgeable, enthused, and so nice! He made sure a member of our group with walker was included, took photos for us with our phones and made it such fun! He would be a wonderful guide on a Caravan tour. Loved every minute and it was steamy hot and raining! O fcourse!Written June 26, 2024
- Pix2go0 contributionsGreat Birthday Tour for Mom!Our mom decided she wanted to zip line for her birthday, and that she'd always wanted to see Costa Rica. Our daughter was the planner and selected Sky Adventures because it sounded like a very safe operation. When you arrive they fit you with a harness and your own pulley for the zip line. They give you a demo, and then you take a tram to the top. There's a giant hand for the perfect photo op - they even had a sign for mom to hold that said "Happy Birthday". Another short zip line where you can try it out - really appreciated that! You're not relying on arm strength because the harness holds you very securely. And then you see the "real" zip line and (not gonna lie) it's a bit intimidating. But mom volunteered to go first. As she launched the whole group sang "Happy Birthday!". When we got to the other end, mom was grinning and so happy. That's about the time I realized there's another zip line ... in fact it's a total of seven "zips" to the base. It was soooooo much fun! After we turned in our gear and bought our photos (emailed to us), we went on the Hanging Bridges tour, too. We saw sloth, howler monkey, owls, eagle, snakes, frogs and leaf cutter ants, and more, but really, it was amazing how much we learned. At the end of the tour, our guide asked, "By the way, how old is your mom?" "Oh, she turned 90 today."Written June 17, 2024
- 785donnaf0 contributionsBreathtaking viewsCarlos did a great job finding plants and animals along the waterfall trail We enjoyed the refreshing swim in the falls. Lots of stairs down then climbing out.Written June 1, 2024
- W495PFfionas0 contributionsWell worth a visit.I was very happy with my tour. Brandon was a polite young man who was very enthusiastic about the animals the park had to offer. We saw 4 sloths. He made the trip very interesting. I learnt a lot. Well worth going. Thanks Brandon.Written May 22, 2024
- suzypats0 contributionsGood experience in the rainforestWe did the afternoon tour and didnt realize you start with lunch first. We opted to skip and jump on earlier tour. You take a vehicle up to a transfer point and then take an open air 4x4 vehicle up to watefall. They suit you up and then you are off to the biggest waterfall first. It was a little difficult to get the hang of it but the guides did a great job giving directions and encouragement. My kids who are 9 and 12 loved it. You get wet and get to trek thru rainforest. The stairs at the end are tough. I would recommend better shoes with soles. Lots of rocks. We had tevas and were very happy we had them.Written April 25, 2024
