- Christopher L00Thanks to Super Mario!!!This was the high impact start of our Costa Rican adventure trip. I can't recommend this group enough! It was a blast! Well worth the money for lifelong memories. The friendly and enjoyable staff were awesome. Even after considerable rappeling experience in the US, I was impressed with the redundant safety measures used by the staff. Accolades to 'Super' Mario who retrieved my wallet and rental car keys in a ziplock bag that came out of my pocket during the whitewater rafting trip. He helped save me considerable headache!!!
- Chobani33100Full Day Full FunFull day was full fun!!! Hector and Jeffrey were amazing tour guides. They made everything easy and fun. Would definitely recommend this tour.
- GenG201300Great zipline experience, excellent guidesThere was some confusion as to booking in advance or not, so we had to come back a day later. Lucky for us it kept pooring rain the day we inititally were going and the day we ended up going it was such nice weather!!! We took the big ama tour, all 12 ziplines and they were all excellent. Amazing views, great great guides. I am unfortunately unable to remember their names otherwise I would give an personal thankyou. There were some smaller kids on our tour and the guides were so good about safety! I was also surprised at the number of guides, they kept spawning all around it seemed. But it made this tour well paced, we never had to wait long for the other participants to finish, we kept on going. Great fun, great ziplines, great guides. If you want to take a canopy tour, take it with this company! And book miminum a day ahead.
- David C00Incredibly fun experienceGuides were amazing and friendly. We had so much fun. The weather was great and the views fantastic. Would definitely recommend.
- KurtFukushima00Big AMAThis was our family's unanimous favorite excursion during our time in La Fortuna. Highly recommend the Big AMA package, which is all twelve of the ziplines at Arenal Mundo Adventura. The two lines over the waterfalls have got to be some of the best ziplines in the world - long, high and amazing views. The guides were all awesome and laid back, but were always cognizant of everyone's safety. One of our group was very hesitant about this excursion due to the heights. They wanted to bail after the first line, but kept with it and ended up really enjoying it after the third line. I would recommend bringing a GoPro (rent or buy). I tried to rig up my cell phone on a lanyard and it didn't work very well. However, another group member went tandem on a few and was then able to use both hands on their cell phone.
- 634anp00Awesome zip lining, rappelling, and horseback riding! The combo tour was so much fun for our whole family ages 9, 10, and 13. We loved being able to zip line, rappel, and ride horses! The climbing up the ladders after the rappelling next to a waterfall was kind of scary but so cool! Totally recommend this combo tour!
- Matt W00Best Excursion EverThe best excursion ever. I had a fabulous time with my three kids ages 21, 19, and 16. We loved every minute of the experience. The rappel was our favorite. The variety of zip lines was super fun and finishing with a horseback ride was nice. Jose and Fabian were fantastic guides that made the entire process easy and their attention to detail made us feel safe the whole time. Thanks!!!
- misspiggy-kermitt00Great adventure tourThis was an awesome tour. Our 10 and 14 year old loved the zip lines and waterfall rappelling. Honestly, I was a bit nervous at first but once you embrace the adrenaline rush, you will love it. The guides did a great job ensuring we were all safely strapped in and enjoying ourselves. The 2 guides who stood out the most were Alan and Favien. They were awesome! I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone!
- torino9600Amazing full day adventure!!!We did the full day adventure with Hector and Pablo and had a blast. A very challenging trip that was incredible. Waterfalls, hiking, zip lining, repelling, and even horseback riding. Great views and so much fun.
- tobyn61500Truth in Advertising, PleaseWhatever you do, don't let them persuade you to do the waterfall hike followed by the ziplining. It is a 20-minute tractor ride from the visitor center up to starting point for both the hike and the ziplines. The waterfall hike is then 700 rough steps down into a hot, humid valley - and when we got to the bottom we discovered we couldn't swim because the water was too high (it would have been good to know this before we started). Then 700 steps back up for a 90-minute wait, without water, for the ziplining tour. It was hellish. The worst thing was that we had originally asked to do the ziplining first, but they had instructed us to do it the other way round.
- pnwcedar00A Bucket List Item CompleteMy daughters (12) wanted to zipline and I did not! However, this trip turned out to be amazing. Eric and Alan, our tour guides, made us feel very safe. They went with my daughters on the longer lines because they were too light. The experience going with the guides gave them confidence to try a few on their own. I may have screamed the whole way across but it was a thrilling adventure. The bonus was we saw a Toucan right as we were leaving for the tour.
- FloridaNeil00Big Ama was a great timeFriendly guides, a lot of different zip lines and and adventure for those who want to fly through the trees. The views from the zip lines were great and a number of the lines were 500-1,000 meters. They pick you up from your hotel at no additional cost and it was a great time for our teens
- Steven F00Totally amazing! We had an absolutely blast! Pablo and eric were phenomenal guides and instructors!! Really nice, patient and cared about making sure you had an awesome time!
- PHXAZ100000Great ziplining experience and superb Nature SanctuaryWe did the Big AMA zipline experience (12 ziplines plus horse ride at the end). The zipline experience is an absolute must. Coming into, then taking off, from LA Fortuna Waterfalls is absolutely amazing! A few things to help set your expectations: - the visit to the Maleku Villa is little more than a tourist trap in disguise. It's basically a hut with arts & crafts for sale - things you'll see everywhere else in the town of La Fortuna. The "indigenous" people who greeted us seemed annoyed. It's nothing more than a throw-in to get you to spend more money. -the instructional video they show is difficult to hear because of the acoustics. -the horse-ride could've been so much better. We basically rode down the same gravel road we went up on the tractor. Not much to see. Would've been nice if they took you through a part of the rain forest. - most people skip the Nature Sanctuary/Butterfly Garden, likely because they aren't aware it's there and also because the entrance is usually hidden by parked cars. I recommend you devote at least 30-60m to exploring this area. You'll see butterflies and frogs you simply won't see elsewhere in the world.
- Jan R00Beautiful viewWhat a beautiful ride to the waterfall. The crew was so kind and the ride was easy to the falls. It was great that they had showers & changing places at the top of the waterfall. The steps down were easy. The hike back up from the falls is quite an exercise. Whew! We are in good shape but we had to stop several times. The guides stayed with us as we took breaks. The falls were beautiful, and the horse were well maintained. There is a buffet after the ride too!

So I’m not an adrenaline seeker or a fan of heights, but this zip line tour exceeded all of my (very scared) expectations. Our guides, Allan and Luis, were great at ensuring your safety and preparing you for each zip line you were about to do.
The views of the Pino Blanco and La Fortuna Waterfalls were breathtaking, and the speeds of some of the lines were insanely fast and thrilling! I cannot recommend doing this tour enough - you can conquer your fears and get incredible views of Costa Rica at the same time!

My family and I had a wonderful experience doing the 7 zip lines. My 16 year old daughter was nervous at first and the guide went with her on several of the lines. If anyone got stuck they were so helpful bringing the person back in. They have a great photographer who took videos and pictures of us. My husband who is afraid of heights really enjoyed it as well. The staff were very patient and helpful. They picked us up from our hotel and brought us to the site. Then you take a tractor up the mountain. Wear long pants! Would highly recommend!!

Our guides were experienced, warm and very friendly! The zips were the prettiest and most eclectic from previous ones I have done. 2 out of 7 have actual waterfalls that are just breathtaking!
1 zip is 1 KM long and another is the fastest allowing you to go up to 55 KPH! There’s also transportation that takes you to the very top to the 1st zip which was very convenient! Kaitlyn at the front desk was extremely helpful as well. She went out of her way to ship my cellphone to me in the US which had fallen out of my pack. Great overall experience and they were the cheapest compared to so many other zip lining companies. Thanks again Kaitlyn :)

We had a wonderful morning with the AMA zip line group. Our guide, Crystal, was very knowledgable, professional and we felt safe at all times. We are a family of 4, our 15 year old daughter does not weigh a lot, so on some of the lines, she rode with Crystal. We learned a lot about the area. The lines were well maintained and all the safety equipment was in great shape. There is hiking involved, so you need to be in decent shape for this activity. I highly recommend this adventure. You will not be sorry. Any questions, let me know!

We chose the shorter zip line event bc we thought it would be enough. We are a big family and have a bunch of younger kids besides our older ones. The staff was amazing. They were so helpful and confident and we felt completely safe. They took multiple kids at a time and I even got a guide with me for my first run bc I was so nervous. My 17 yr old got a guide every time with her. They moved things along really quickly so you weren’t always waiting for others in the group to finish before u could go to the next. The experience was super fun and beautiful!

Great experience overall. We went with 2 young children (10 & 7) and Crystal and Johnny did a great job making them comfortable, and me too since I was the most nervous of us. Good instruction and the actual zip lines were long and had incredible views. In terms of Covid, all equipment was sanitized and even each guest is required to wash hands and be sprayed down with sanitizing spray before putting on the equipment. Each guest also had their temperature checked on site. Masks were required until the actual zip lining.

Well, this place is top drawer. Well organized and safety first. Totally worth going. Awesome scenery and a great experience. We were expecting some to bail on the experience. They way they demonstrate what to expect and the small zip line first sure made the scared feel comfortable. I was with a few who were afraid of heights and they did this with a minor roar at the start! Great time and well done!
Thanks to the great staff. The restaurant alone is worth visiting! What a spectacular view.

This was a phenomenal experience made even better by the patience and kindness of the employees. The staff know what they are doing, the lines are long and through/over beautiful settings, and safety was never in doubt. My son experienced some anxiety and everyone was wonderful about supporting him. I highly recommend this experience and company.

This was an amazing adventure! I cannot recommend this place enough! Felt very safe, guides gave great instructions, beautiful scenery (especially the birds eye view of La Fortuna waterfall)! Photo/video package came out great and very reasonable. This is a cant miss if anywhere near this area! All the guides were great, but ask for Jeffrey!
Also: Have cash with you so you can purchase from the tribal souvenir shop before the tractor brings you back down the mountain. I left my wallet in the car or else we would have made purchases.

I don’t see why they wouldn’t pick you up. It’s in the immediate La Fortuna area. If your hotel isn’t listed when you go to selected pick up location, you can select “my hotel isn’t listed” and then enter your hotel name.
I would also just make sure at your hotel reception that they have confirmed your pick up.

We are 2 families traveling together and everyone wants to zip line, but we have a 2-year old in the group. Anyone experienced logistics like this? Can we rotate somehow or do we just need to split up and do the zip line at 2 different times?

Are we accompanied by a guide on the actual zip line? I have never done it beofre and these lines seem pretty high and long and fast...making me nervous...but definitely want to do it!

Is there weight restrictions for zip lining ?

No weight restriction that I’m aware of. We had little kids with our group (age 7-10). On some of the zip lines, one of the guides would connect their pulley to the kids and went tandem to maintain the necessary speed.
