All of our transfers were with RideCR. All were very good - great. I wrote one for the Lake Arenal to Monteverde, but no listings for others. From Monteverde to Manuel Antonio we had Jimmy. He was great driver and told us about the area we were going thru. He stopped at a cafeteria style souvenir shop on the way. Good food- seemed to be $11 for any meal. Tasty. Also he stopped at Crocodile bridge and we saw 8-10 large crocs. Unfortunately there was a lot of plastic garbage that has washed onto their island From Manuel Antonio we had Mauricio. Very knowledgeable and great to chat with. The vehicle were all Toyota vans for the 7/8 of us. Well kept and good riding. All of the drivers we had work 26 days a month most of the year. They sleep in company apartments wherever they happen to end up. A tough life for sure but they seem okay with it. They love to show off their country and it’s beauty. Be generous.

We had rideCR transport us from Maragaritaville, Flamingo beach to the airport. Our driver Carlos was super friendly and took us to an excellent vegetarian friendly restaurant near the airport. The vehicle was new, clean and comfortable. Great experience.

We took van to Lake Arenal, a boat across, and a long van ride from dock to Monteverde. 1st leg was short, boat was ok, saw a few birds and looked for cayman. The 3rd leg was a look at rural Costa Rica. We basically traveled up the side of the mountain where visibility was limited due to clouds. Viktor, the driver, was excellent. He was telling us about “Molinos de viento”, which we didn’t understand- until from the mists directly in front of us a large towering windmill appeared. Evidently there were a whole string of them which we couldn’t see on the ridge. The roads at times were “rustic” and we had to ford a stream, avoid a herd of cows, and zig-zag thru many holes. Over all a neat experience with tremendous views when the clouds parted.

There’s simply not a single thing I would have changed. Charlie was the perfect guide. The vehicle was incredibly comfortable. The drive was smooth. The wildlife was abundant. I could go into more detail, but every category was a 5/5.

Carlos Corrales was the perfect host to get our trip off to a wonderful start! He was able to answer our questions about places to visit during our stay. He saw to our comfort every step of the way. He knew where to stop for authentic Costa Rican coffee and made spontaneous stops along the way to show us some local wildlife and helped us get great pics to share with family and friends.

I want to warn you about RideCR shuttles (they are on 12go and other aggregators) Horrible experience! The bus was 2 hours and 40 minutes late. I want to clarify that the payment and booking were made through WhatsApp, and the company had no issues send massag with me. For the first 30 minutes of delay, they ignored our questions and calls. Then they replied, saying the driver was running late, but disappeared again. Later, they said the driver would arrive in 40 minutes, only to ignore us again. If you don’t want to stand in the middle of the road for 3 hours waiting for their bus, use anything but them. Did they apologize? No! This was a terrible experience for $130 for two people on the Liberia - La Fortuna route. Español: Quiero advertirle sobre los shuttles de RideCR (están en 12go y otros agregadores) ¡Horrible experiencia! El bus se retrasó 2 horas y 40 minutos. Quiero aclarar que el pago y la reserva se hicieron por WhatsApp, y la empresa no tuvo problemas en enviarme mensajes. We used ride cr for our transport from sjo to lafortuna. Pablo was our driver and we did an amazing job. He was polite and courteous and even helped us see some sloths and iguanas on the way to our destination. The van was clean and comfortable. Thanks Pablo! We would definitely use this company again.
