My wife and I decided on a whim to join the deluxe chocolate tour, which included a trip to a local cacao and coffee plantation. We are glad we decided to do this tour as our guide, Anthony, was engaging, professional, and a pleasure to spend three hours with. We discussed the history of chocolate and the manner in which it is grown, harvested and processed. Afterwards, back at the museum, we made a selection of different chocolate drinks and prepared our own chocolate bars. All good fun and informative. Bring money for tips - the guide works hard to make sure you have a good time.

Amazing tour with Anthony! We started at a cocoa plantation where we got to see, touch, smell, and taste the different types and stages of cocoa beans (and coffee, cassava, sugar cane, and lemon). We learnt about both the history and the processing of cocoa to chocolate and other products, and then continued back at the ChocoMuseo where things were ready for making our own chocolate. The cocoa beans that we had picked at the plantation were roasted, peeled, ground, and then made into different types of chocolate drinks - so loads of ‘hands on’! To conclude the tour, we designed our own flavoured chocolate and realised how difficult it is to make nice shapes, even with moulds ;-)
Can definitely recommend this tour to everyone who likes to participate in a fun and interactive tour!

We went into this museum just to look at how chocolate was made, and Eva Maria made our experience one to remember. With her excellent knowledge of chocolate, and her vibrant personality we learnt SO much about chocolate with a hands on experience. Also, she literally gave us endless amounts of chocolate samples and answered all questions needed. Please go here, you won’t be missing out!

After passing this little gem a few times we decided to visit the chocolate museum. We did not have the time for the class and visit but our guide was happy to explained the process of chocolate extracting and making. We went in knowing we would be picking up some wonderful treats for ourselves and some as gifts..

We just stopped in by chance and got a great free tour by Antonio. He spoke very good English and explained the process of chocolate making in a passionate way. The tour was for around 20min and in the end we got to taste the chocolate.
Antonio was very professional and did not push us to buy stuff in the end. We would really recommend the free tour here!
