Did not refund us after our cancellation
Our family was very excited for this tour, but our flights into Costa RIca were cancelled and so we were not able to go on our vacation. I cancelled our tour with two days notice and was promised a 100% refund as that is their policy. It has been almost a month now and we have not received a refund. I have received two emails saying the refund would come that week but it was never sent. The refund should be over $1100, I feel like this is either very bad customer service or dishonesty. We have had to dispute the charge on our credit card to try to get a refund. .

    I Was A Falcon
The focus was safety first. At each platform, the guide confirmed that the three carabiners were locked. We were trained how to stop, how to prevent ourselves from spinning, and what to do if we got stuck. After that, the fun began. The feeling of flying over the rainforest is nearly indescribable. We also had a chance to rappel down from one platform, and zip Wonder Woman style. That was the most amazing part. Due to rain, we could not do the Tarzan jump (safety first), but we got through 8 of the 9 lines. We were given a partial refund, too. Such an incredible experience!

    Amazing Views
Amazing time with the family and would highly recommend. The horses were all well mannered and the tour guides were very reassuring and took great care of you. We would return in a heart beat, there was also a delicious piece of banana bread and an empanada waiting for us at the end after we made our own sweet treat. All equipment is provided just wear flat soles trainers/boots.

    Fantastic Value and Experience
One of the things that my daughter really wanted to do was horseback riding. Our host at Terra Viva set us up with this. We actually drove ourselves on a Monday morning (8am). We only had 1 other couple join us. Check in was easy and price was great $40 for 2 hrs. We did not expect to have sugar cane demonstration and tasting included, but it was. The ride itself was beautiful and serene. I have never down a mountain ride like that before. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it. The guides were nice and stopped at a couple of places for pictures. You get a few sections where the horses take off. Honestly, I could have done with just 30-60mins of riding, but it was for my daughter. The weather was perfect. All in all, a great experience. I would highly recommend.

    Amazing fabulous and unforgettable ❤️
This was the best 2 hours we spent in our costaricain trip. The owner picked us up from our hotel. A lovely sweet man. His son Pablo lead us around their massive land through coffee plants, banana trees, tangerine trees, tiny rivers, magical hills. We even saw the Pacific Ocean! The horses are wonderful and my 8 year old had the time of her life on Sahara. After the ride she pressed sugar cane and we tasted liquid sugar and made some candy. Then Pa Lo bought us a little basket with warm cheese empanadas and chocolate cake. It was simply perfect. We will return and do this tour in a heart beat. Muchas gracias!!!!

    A great experience!
We had a wonderful riding experience. Our guides were very nice and they provided helmets and good instruction for riding. The horses that we rode knew the trail well and were very friendly. This wasn’t a little trail around a family farm, we went a good 7+ miles into the beautiful countryside, through streams and up hills into the greens of Costa Rica. It was so beautiful!! They took us up to see the most spectacular sunset over the mountian ranges. When we came back our guides did a sugar cane mill demonstration and we got to drink sugar cane juice, make our own sugar cane candy and they provided us with a snack from their farm (some really warm delicious cheese tortillas and cake). It was a treat! I would highly recommend this ride and for all ages! It will be well worth it!

    Very informative
We did the tour with Kaidlyn and it was absolutely super. She’s very knowledgeable about all aspects of production from start to finish. I’ve a new appreciation for coffee roasting. We had a tasty snack to finish; coffee and chocolate tasting, of course. Also everyone had a chance to make a sugar candy. Ridiculously good.

    Great tour including tasting
This tour was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. A really interesting tour showing the coffee process from plant to cup. The sugar can experience was interactive where we made brown sugar and tasted very alcoholic guaro (cane liquor). Chocolate process also included tasting, overall a good way to spend a half day.

    A MUST FOR COFFEE LOVERS!!!
A fascinating and enjoyable tour around a small family owned coffee and sugar farm located in stunning scenery just outside of Santa Elena. We learned about the history and step by step process of producing coffee, sugar and chocolate. The group size was small and personal and we were able to taste each step along the way, probably the best coffee and chocolate that I have ever tasted. A special mention for our guide, Jairo, who was highly knowledgeable, friendly and very funny, he had us all laughing throughout the tour. If you love coffee and chocolate you must go on this tour.

    10/10 would recommend
Definitely worth it! Olman was a very knowledgeable tour guide who was able to spot animals I never would have seen myself in a thousand years. We saw lots of spiders, frogs, sleeping birds, a scorpion and even a sloth, kinkajou and lemurs! Very interesting and lots of fun.

    10 out of 10, 5 stars isn’t enough
Highlight of La Fortuna, went above and beyond our expectation for a nature hike. This is a very full day (in a good way!) and very balanced between hiking, adventure activity, learning about the rainforest, climate, history and culture of Costa Rica and the La Fortuna/Arenal area. Erick and Walter were the best guides imaginable, and made the tour unforgettable. If you have them, bring your water shoes, and DEFINITELY bring your camera! The places you go are unreal they are so beautiful. Hike was very pleasant, was enough work to feel good about having gotten out but not so difficult that you can’t enjoy the scenery. The guides have incredible amounts of knowledge and experience with a background in sustainable ecotourism. 10 out of 10- 5 stars isn’t enough.

I was worried about this trip, but the process was very smooth from booking, coordinating a pick up spot and getting to my destination. I highly recommend this company. Picked me up on time. Very professional staff. Dropped me off at my hotel before planned hour. Efficient, professional, safe, and at a reasonable price.

Please do not hesitate to use this company!!
In Costa Rica, we have had the pleasure of using the services of Monteverde Tour CR. I can not say how much we relied on Louis and the company to transport us safely and efficiently! They were life savers! They were extremely easy and prompt to communicate with.
The Van boat Van trip was so enjoyable! In Monteverde, we were picked up at our Airbnb on time, transported to the boat that would take us across Lake Arenal (beautiful trip) then safely by small bus to our prearranged drop off in La Fortuna.
This was the third experience we have had the company with the first two being a guided birdwalk and a nightwalk.
Our next need of the company was transportation from La Fortuna to San Jose Airport.

Again, I communicated with Louis by email. Louis replied almost immediately every time I had a question. We couldn’t ask for better service.
