- rachelvJ7702YF0 contributionsMay's brilliant bike tourMay was an absolutely fantastic guide. She showed me a side of Shanghai I wouldn't find from a tourist guide. I had a brilliant morning. Without much time to see the city this bike ride helped me get to know the place a little bit. She was friendly and knowledgeable and made time to stop off in a temple, a market and both the French and Japanese concession. I would highly recommend May's tour to anyone.Written December 12, 2023

- johncC4659TK0 contributionsExplore Shanghai like a local. The meeting point is a long way from downtown Shanghai but don't let that put you off. Its well worth the effort, we took a taxi there and returned on the metro, nearest station a 15 minute walk away. Mai was a great guide who spoke very good English showed us many of the highlights of Shanghai you could only experience on a bike or on foot. Shanghai is quite flat so perfect for cycling, we were a little apprehensive about riding a bike on the very busy roads but once you got "tuned in" to the traffic system it felt quite safe and definitely the best way to get around. Chinese food from a local restaurant was provided. Overall a great day and highly recommended.Written November 11, 2019
- klsmithmn0 contributionsThey didn’t show up at meeting pointOK there was a big trade show in town causing traffic problems. They apologized profusely. They immediately refunded what we paid. They offered a free bike ride later (but it was our last day in Shanghai). Nevertheless we have never been in Shanghai yet managed to make it to the meeting point far from downtown 15 early. They never showed.Written November 4, 2019
- Izlaaho0 contributionsGreat startWe had a great start of our vacation in Shanghai. May (our guide) showed us the best places to see and explore. If you visit Shanghai you must start with a must see & food bike tour. After that trip we knew were to go and what not to miss. Our guide May created many fun experiences and wonderful memories, I really recommend May if you choose this trip!Written October 14, 2019

- kathirkishan0 contributionsBest way to explore ShanghaiI was in Shanghai just for one day and wanted to explore the most in that time. Also, I love biking. So this was the best option for me. Actually I was pretty late on that day. Every other started their tour as per schedule. But they arranged a private guide for me. May was my guide and she was super friendly, kind and would explain whatever question you ask. Moreover, she is a good photographer. We went not only to the major sightseeing areas but also to the slums, shopping districts, etc. I would recommend this to anyone who wanna see Shanghai the most in a short time. But I think the price for this tour was a bit expensive may be.Written September 19, 2019
- stephohartman0 contributionsNot to be missedWhat an incredible way to experience Shanghai. We went to the wet market, the Bund, various concessions (Japanese, British, French), Yu gardens, and ate a delicious authentic Chinese treat! May was an excellent tour guide. She kept a great pace and made me very comfortable despite the crazy bike culture. She also had quite a bit of historical background to share with every place we visited and took photos wherever we wanted. Thanks May!Written September 15, 2019
- David M0 contributionsA nice way to see ShanghaiWe had a good time on our tour with May. The biking was fun and we were able to cover a lot of ground during the 4 hour tour. Would recommend to others looking for an active way to explore the city.Written September 14, 2019
- Andrea D0 contributionsI had a wonderful day in ShanghaiMay was a very nice, helpful and lovely person. She showed us so many authentical sights of shanghai. Her englisch was very good. We ate delicious homemade dumplings. May also gave me for my next two days in Shanghai very good tips to go or not to go. Her recommondations were very helpful for me. She is an insider! She also showed me where i could get a wonderful and cheap massage. After the tour she even brought me to the massage and picked me up later. I really recommend this tour with May!!Written September 10, 2019
- LWalsh12160 contributionsWonderful Tour of Shanghai with MayMay took great care of my fiance and I on the first part of our honeymoon. I'm so happy that we booked this tour before exploring so we could highlight what areas we wanted to revisit later in our travel. May was very knowledgable and educated us on history in a totally unique experience. I felt safe on this tour the entire time and enjoyed snacks along the way. Great way to get outdoors and explore the city. So happy we got to connect with May!Written September 8, 2019
- willemb20130 contributionshorrible and unsafe tour Do not book this tour.It suppose to be a foodie tour , we had only one snack . We had one bottle of water for a 3 hours lasting tour, by34 gr C. witch originally was a 4 hours tour We had a evening tour and the bike has no lights, we are from Europe, we want to drive safe ! The speed and the way of biking was irresponsible, ignoring red traffic lights end traffic rules. Our guide was constantly on the phone, no attention for her guests . Sometimes we lost our guide. The information on the stops was minimum and a one way information . No discussion or time for questions . The other guests, a English couple, supposed to do a tour with other stops , and also a Jazz bar, flea market. They where also very disappointed . We booked the tour by getyourguide.com , they did a great job to mediate after complaining!! The tour guide contact me at WhatsApp, they were very rude, and wrote me that we were horrible and bad people, because we were complaining.Written September 3, 2019
- Dimi00140 contributionsNice tour in the rainBecause of bad weather conditions, I was the only guest on this bycicle tour. So I had May as a personal guide 😎. Good quality bikes and there we go. Shanghai traffic is quite ok for bike tours. And May guided me safely trough the traffic. Because of easy access by bike you can see things that stay hidden by other transport. We visited the Japanese, French and British concession in Shanghai and surely the Japanese is a more hidden treasure. Sometimes May stopped and then we visited some markets or special shops. U Garden and other very typical places made the tour very interesting. For my job I was already many times in Shanghai. But thanks to May this time on the bike it was a real remarkable and typical tour. Only the lunch could have been a little more special. After all it was a very nice experience. Thanks May!! 😃Written September 1, 2019
