This was the highlight of our visit to Shanghai, sunny (our tour guide) is very prompt, punctual and organized. From the second we booked via Viator, she was in touch and asked us all the right questions to make the trip smooth and easy. She was at the hotel lobby at 9:30 exactly and she immediately took us to a nice Van to start the trip.
On the way she did explain and brief us about everything there to see in Shanghai, as well as, answering all of our questions about life in China in general.
We reached the farm with in an hour, and I was really surprised, it’s not your basic farm, it’s a well developed farm, with a lake, green houses, animals and a restaurant that serves the locally produced crops.
We met a very beautiful and happy Chinese farmers family (who were so hospitable and nice), and after picking up strawberries we had lunch and got set to go to the water town.
We reached the water town within 30 min, and it was breathtaking, it’s so authentic and original with far less tourists than the other well known water towns. It’s so well preserved with original architecture and beautiful canals.
I would make this one of my must do’s every time I visit Shanghai, it caters to both adults and kids. My twins just had a blast at the farm, they didn’t feel the time, and riding a gondola at the water town was just magical. Sunny made sure we had a great time and I would recommend this tour to everyone who needs to see an authentic China.
