Our family had an excellent day with Tom and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The itinerary was perfect for a day trip from Shanghai, taking in historical gardens, an ancient city gate, a fantastic riverside restaurant for lunch, a tour of a silk factory and a visit to the water village, with the highlight of the day, a leisurely boat ride through the beautiful village channels finishing up with dinner of delicious stick rice dumplings and wantons from a place that only locals would know. We learned all about the culture and history from Tom and he was a very considerate host for our family. We thoroughly recommend.

Tom arrived at the agreed time. He took us to the main spots in Shanghai in a very confortable car. Tom has a great knowledge about the history of the places and its curiosities, we enjoyed the tour very much. Old city and Yu Yuan garden are not to miss experiences. The Bund is also very nice. We had a great time and definitely reccomend Tom.

We found Tom on TripAdvisor and reached out to him for our family trip in June 2024. He replied via email and was very helpful in coming up with an itinerary for us. He was always very responsive to whatever questions we had before the trip. Our trip was great! Tom and the driver were always punctual to meet us and very patient and accommodating to our requests. He is very knowledgeable and provided us with lots of information on the places he brought us to. Tom is great with both old folks and kids; we all enjoyed his company. We would definitely recommend Tom to our family and friends who are going to Shanghai!

My tour of Shanghai with Tom was an absolute delight, especially our time at the breathtaking Yu Garden. The gardens were a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city, with intricate rockeries, koi-filled ponds, and beautiful pavilions that transported me back in time. Tom’s deep knowledge of the garden’s history and architecture enhanced my appreciation of the site. He was incredibly helpful, ensuring every detail was perfect, from navigating the garden’s pathways to ordering the most delicious dumplings afterward. I wouldn’t visit Shanghai again without booking Tom—his expertise made all the difference!

Had a really great time with Tom on our trip. Firstly he reached out to me via WhatsApp prior to the trip to find out if we have any questions. He reached the hotel on time. The drive was relaxing and easy. The tour felt very comfortable and not rushed. We had time to do things that we wanted to do and Tom was able to communicate clearly in English. I booked a private driver service with Tom and his colleague Aming for a week while I was in Shanghai for a work trip. Both were extremely friendly and provided amazing service, making the transportation around Shanghai both easy and efficient! I would definitely book with Tom again in the future if I ever visit Shanghai again.

Everything was good during our stay in Shanghai from airport pick up, day tour and finally the transfer to airport for our flight back. Zhu Jia Jiao is amazing and would highly recommend taking a trip there. Tom's explanation of the place was excellent and he also brought us to a old house formerly owned by a Chinese Official which is worth visiting as well. Tom is very patience as our group consists of a bunch of shopaholics stopping at literally every other shops in ZJJ. He waited patiently throughout and did not hurry us at all. He is also very accommodating as we did some last min changes to our itinerary in Shanghai and wanted to do more shopping. In the end we ended quite late for the day and Tom had to work overtime. Lol. Overall, am glad that we had Tom to bring us around and would definitely recommend him to anyone going to Shanghai.

We got to know Tom thru our other guide - He was able to accommodate & cater to our needs in a short period of time. Our trip to Shanghai was short but fun filled and pleasure to have Tom as our day tour guide- he is a well mannered guide & able to filled us with lots of information during the road trip. Got a ride from Pudong Airport to NECC when we arrived. Driver was waiting for us outside customs. We got a ride back to pudong airport from NECC when we left. On time, nice vehicles. The Mercedes V class is super dope! Highly recommend Tom and his team.

Tom is a great English speaking tour guide. He could tell the story/history of each tourist attraction very well. For our lunch, he recommended a good restaurant where we had delicious local dishes. He worked with the driver smoothly; dropped off not too far from the attractions and we did not wait so long for pickup. Lastly, he is so kind; enthusiastically explored a way of returning AirPods (that my sister forgot on the van) to Bangkok.

We had a layover in Shanghai für about aday, arriving early morning and leaving in the evning. Tom picked us (family of 5) up in a car that fit us all, including luggage. We were super excited and so was Tom - he was waiting for us at the Pudong airport, and as kids were hungry after the flight, swiftly adjusted itinerary to first get some real Shanghai dumplings. We managed to see all the important sights and Tom was always looking out for us - he was super nice and when we realized, we had to cut the trip a bit shorter due to kids (especially the 8yo) getting tired, he had absolutely no problem with changing plans. This was an amazing experience and a true private tour where Tom came up with great suggestions but we were still able to give preferences (i.e. he did quickly fit in a tea tasting, as we gelt like it). I would absolutely recomend such layover tour with Tom, as you get so much out of it, even if its only a short Shanghai experience. Obviously i‘m sure he‘d have had 100s more things to show and share. Thanks Tom - was a great pleasure meeting you.

Our guide was great and knew all the back roads and alleys to get us around downtown Shanghai and the old town. We enjoyed the old architecture and decorations for the Chinese New Year I recommend the tour highly
