Sophie was great. We walked through Yu Garden, a quick stop at the Bund and a trip to the top of Shanghai Tower. Sophie is very knowledgeable about the area, the buildings, the history I had a super trip. And she assisted with setting up my ride to the airport. 1000% would recommend.

We booked this trip after two other fantastic experiences with our tour guide Penny. It was an incredible trip to see the old Shanghai way of life and it couldn’t have been more interesting and cool to see. Our guide Penny shared a lot of historical parts to the town and led us through a former house turned museum as well as showing us around the streets with shops, restaurants, We loved Penny. She was super knowledgeable and also fun to hang out with. She shared so much about old and new Shanghai life. I would highly recommend this trip.

We did the this in-home cooking tour with Penny (our tour guide) and loved it!! First we visited a grocery store where locals shop. Saw and sampled some unique foods. From there we went to a lovey gated apartment complex where the cooking class was held at “Shanghai Mama’s” nicely-appointed apartment. We had an incredible first-hand demonstration and hands-on cooking experiences (made dumplings together from scratch) and watched a couple other local cooking techniques. Following that we had a meal together. Hard to match this intimate look at life in the country. I would highly recommend this tour!!

Penny was absolutely wonderful. We walked thru the French Concession area and adjacent neighborhoods and learned alot about the history of China, Shanghai and the current issues facing Chinese living in Shanghai. Penny spoke excellent English and helped us plan other things he to do in Shanghai. She went out of her way to show us how to navigate the subway which turned out to be great way to get around. Overall, Penny deserved a six!!!

We booked a private tour of the French Concession neighborhood and loved it!! Our tour guide Penny was extremely knowledgeable about the history and life in this formerly European neighborhood. We visited historic buildings and also walked through parts of the old neighborhood for additional glimpses of what life was like then and now. We totally enjoyed our day touring with Penny and booked her for two additional tours the following days. I would highly recommend this tour and tour guide!

The tour guide is interested in Suzhou's local mountains and waters; A grass and a tree; Ming sheng gu Ji; Legends of past dynasties are well-versed and memorable. It is worth recommending to anyone who wants to visit Suzhou.

A true walking nugget of information, Kelly is a guide through and through. We asked her so many questions and she handled them with grace, don't miss up on an opportunity to get local knowledge. Her English is commendable and she is perfectly amiable with uncomfortable questions. Suzhou was a great day trip, well worth while if you are in Shanghai and want a quick escape from the city.

Ms. Penny met me at my hotel, she helped me craft an agenda, and then we were off on a fantastic, informative, and fun tour of Shanghai. Riding the Metro and walking, I not only saw highlights of Shanghai but learned a lot of very interesting history along the way. Ms. Penny is the definition of a professional guide: knowledgeable, fun, engaging, and she taught me about using Alipay for payments and using taxis in China. I wanted to see an out-of-the-way propaganda poster museum and she not only got me there but she fully explained the nuances of the posters from pre-Maoist times until the present. This was a master class by a true, highly talented professional guide. I absolutely recommend this tour whether you know what you want to see or are looking for tips and suggestions. Ms. Penny is amazing.

We had 2 different guides from this company during our brief business trip to Shanghai. I booked my trip less than 24 hours before our arrival, for a tour on Sunday night. Kelly did a phenomenal job communicating and setting up our guides that met us at our hotel and traveled the city with us. The guides were both very personable, sophisticated, and knowledgeable and were able to show us the innermost parts of the city and culture. Money well spent!
