- 32robd0 contributionsPrivate Half Day Tour - Shanghai Architecture and PlanningSophie was a wonderful guide. She was punctual with a great car and driver. Her English and explanations of the story and history of Shanghai was excellent. Through the tour she accommodated other sites of interest and also encouraged interactions with locals which was a great high light of the day.Written March 1, 2020
- RussellB19770 contributionsWonderful Tour of Shanghai by Sophie LeeWe only had a short time in Shanghai (3 days) before the end of 2019 and were treated to an excellent tour of the highlights of the city by our English speaking guide, Sophie Lee. Her command of Shanghai was apparent when she was able to navigate us to many of the cities most notable landmarks including the Bund, the French Concession, the Shanghai World Financial Center, Nanjing Road shopping, Old City and Tianzifang, while anticipating our every need. Sophie was efficient with our time and even shared her expert knowledge of the customs and history of the city, its architecture, and the current development plans for many areas. We were fortunate to have Sophie for 2-1/2 days while visiting our son, a temporary resident. One of the best parts of touring with her, was getting to share a few meals in between the landmarks we visited. Moreover, we spent little (if any) time waiting for entry access or for ordering our meals. We can't thank Sophie enough for her hospitality and efficiency. She arranged all entry tickets for us and was always a step ahead of us, anticipating our next move. As a first introduction to Shanghai, we could not have been more pleased with this tour and tour-guide.Written February 19, 2020
- escrowmama0 contributionsquick tour of ShanghaiWe had a half a day tour with SOPHIE LEE, our tour guide. We were picked up from the hotel and then started our tour of some of Shanghai's famous places including great food court. We were given plenty of time to explore the food court, then our guide helped us order and explained the food to us. The tour over all was great thanks to our English Speaking tour guide, Sophie Lee, She was very professional and pleasant.Written January 27, 2020
- CdnSeinfeld0 contributionsGreat day tour with Kenny G!Came to Shanghai for business and my company selected a company to do a day tour for me. That says something right there. Companies don’t choose second rate guides for their international travellers! Kenny G and I emailed before the trip as I requested to visit a few special sites. The day was action packed with new and old Shanghai, walks in the key areas and some great food. Kenny helped me out at the end of the day with the most important part of the day - buying a gift for my wife! Kenny’s knowledge of history, energy on the tour and fun approach made the day an absolute pleasure. This was my first visit to mainland China and I actually learned stuff that was helpful for work too! Shanghai is big and there is lots to do. If you only have a day or a few days or want to dive deep into sites - Kenny and her team are fabulous! A++++++++.Written January 20, 2020
- QuincyYork0 contributionsA wonderful introduction to Shanghai with KennyWe did a six hour tour of the city with Kenny - some on foot and some with her driver. Starting at Shanghai Tower, we got a super overview of the city while Kenny talked us through its rapid growth and development. We crossed over to The Bund and enjoyed a nice wander before lunch then visited Yu Gardens and Chenghuang Temple where we had a fun tea ceremony. We ended our tour at the French Concession / Xintiandi which is very attractive. Kenny shared lots of anecdotes about the city and the history in a relaxed and easy manner. We really enjoyed our day with her and would highly recommend this tour.Written January 14, 2020
- Compass7758920 contributionsGood for the priceTour guide was nice but the schedule was a little tight and there’s not much time for you to look around. It was good to join other people on the tour but they had put the half day people and full day people together by accident so it was a little messy to organize where everyone was going. Overall a great experience if you just want to cruise through and not do much on your own, to get all the major sights done, and to meet other people so you won’t go alone. You can pay extra for the boat ride, which I did (it was ¥16 per person in a group, not sure about solo)Written December 2, 2019
- SuperbowlSaints0 contributionsFantastic TourOur team of speakers got the opportunity to spend time with Kenny in Shanghai and Suzhou. She was an excellent tour guide and logistics specialist. We were treated exceptionally, ate fun local dishes and learned much during our experience. Thanks Kenny!Written September 18, 2019
- hotspur014620 contributionsTwo days in Shanghai and SuzhouAs part of a small group of North Americans coming for a business conference, we had a couple of days to tour. Kenny was fantastic! She has a lot of local knowledge and really great English! (She also helped me practice my Chinese.) We saw the Yu Garden, a traditional tea ceremony, the Jade Buddha Temple, the Bund, XinTianDi, and the world's largest Starbucks in Shanghai. Then we went to Suzhou for the Garden of the Humble Administrator, a visit to a silk factory (fascinating), and the old city gate, not to mention a strangely exhilarating pedicab ride. I would definitely reach out to Kenny again if I ever have the chance to return.Written September 12, 2019

Definitely highly recommend this tour company to anyone visiting Shanghai.Written September 4, 2019
- Dab1012380 contributionsAmazing city, clean, friendly and safe.We have traveled all 7 continents and have not met a guide like Karen. Karen arrived at our hotel early to make sure we had everything we needed. From the very beginning her personality was friendly outgoing and caring. She is extremely knowledgeable about her city. We were able to go eat at places usual tourist do not go. The food was amazing, she helped us order and I have to say, the choices were amazing. We spent 2 days with Karen exploring the city. Whatever we wanted or needed she made sure we had it. I just can’t express enough how wonderful and knowledgeable this lady is. Thank you for making our trip memorable.Written September 2, 2019

This was one of my best experiences in Shanghai. Patrick, my guide and interpreter, picked me up promptly at my hotel. Our driver took us first to a "wet" market, a local market selling live seafood in tanks (hence the wet), local vegetables and produce, etc. A great way to experience real life in Shanghai. Our chef had already purchased ingredients, so we did not make any purchases. We then drove to the chef's home on the 4th floor of an apartment building. Chef Hong let me choose the menu ahead of time-Kung Pao Chicken, pork wontons and potstickers (dumplings), green beans and an additional dish she chose--Chinese eggplant! Chef had done all the prep work, but the class was hands on as she would cook first, then I would cook the same dish after her. And of course, we feasted when all was done! What a great way to experience Shanghai cuisine and culture. Highly recommend! I hired Patrick to tour Water Town as well.
