- Rita S0 contributionsExcellent day tripI am the single participant in this tour as currently is the low season for tourism in Shanghai as it is almost chineese new year. Frank is my tour guide, and i am glad to have him during this tour as his english is excellence and he enthusiastic explain the meaning of each detail in every destination. The menu selection for the lunch is very nice and it's represent daily chineese meal, so i enjoy to taste every served meal. Overall i would like to recommend you to enjoy this Suzhou and Zhouzhuang trip when you visiting Shanghai, by using this tour provider (i.e. great tour leader, nice car and driver).Written January 21, 2020
- Kiwibird030 contributionsLovely half day visit to Water Village with Frank 🙂Frank picked us up with his driver and we were instantly impressed with his good command of English. Born in Shanghai, he gave us a very interesting talk on the way to th Water Village about the city and China in general. We first went through the beautiful Chinese gardens, then hopped on a boat ride through the Water Village which was very pretty and relaxing. Frank took us through the tiny streets of Zhujiajiao and we got to sample many of the tasty snacks, including stinky tofu, which really was quite nice. Would recommend Frank as a guide, if you're heading to Shanghai for the day.🙂Written January 14, 2020
- sabblbine0 contributionsgreat day in HangzhouWe were really lucky because we had a private tour with our amazing guide Grace to Hangzhou. Although the weather wasn't that good Grace made our tour a great experience for us. The West Lake where we had a 45 minute boat ride was beautiful. The lunch at a local restaurant was the best we had in and around Shanghai. It is a long drive to Hangzhou but totally worth it!Written January 4, 2020
- aphung200 contributions5* review for FrankHighly recommend this tour. Frank is an excellent tour guide with a strong command of English. He has great knowledge of Chinese culture and history and will share interesting facts during the tour. Both destinations were beautiful and certainly worth visiting during your stay in Shanghai. Lunch was excellent with traditional Shanghainese food. Yes, it does take all day (get back around 1700-17:30 depending on traffic but worth the convenience instead of taking public transport and could also squeeze in a cheeky nap!) All in all a great experience for off peak season. There were four of us in total, bus was not crowded and nor were the destinations.Written January 4, 2020

- Grant H0 contributionsFantastic two days of sightseeing with Jessie!!My colleague and I were on a 10 day business trip to Beijing and Shanghai and decided to spend the weekend on a private tour visiting sights outside Shanghai. Jessie was our guide for both days. Jessie did a great job introducing us to many fascinating sights including the water village (“Venice in China”), a new Chinese cultural centre and museum, an amazingly large university complex and a spectacular hotel in a former mining site!! Plus much more including a visit to a silk factory that was very educational and interesting! What really made the 2 day trip was Jessie’s insights into these places and also explaining the history and culture of China in a way that was really interesting and engaging. Next trip we will definitely meet up again with Jessie for another tour - so much to see around Shanghai!Written December 24, 2019
- leonhl20070 contributionsHangzhou “Heaven on Earth” full day coach tour from ShanghaiWe signed up for a small group tour but due to low season it became a private tour for the two of us. Our guide was Roy, a soft-spoken, polite and very knowledgeable person. We travelled around in an SUV, the driver was friendly, careful and always ready to pick us up at the end of our walks. The weather was slightly wet and it was drizzling most of the time but it did not bother us. West Lake is very beautiful and we were glad that we did not cancel our trip there because of the weather. Thumbs up :)Written December 20, 2019

I had a great time walking around in the sunny day with my guide Peter. He was so friendly and informative to show us the old city, Yu garden, Old city wall, fish and flower market and the Former french concession. He made our trip to Shanghai an excellent memory.Highly recommend this grayline tour.
